Jan 31, 2021RedOut: Space Assault reminds of classic on-rails shooters like Star Fox 64 and Rez, adding much more content and a satisfying spaceship development mechanic. It might not be as memorable as those classics, but it's definitely a suggested get for lovers of the genre.

Mar 5, 2021With clear references to After Burner, Star Fox and Space Harrier, Redout Space Assault takes us into outer space combat in an experience that feels like something out of the arcades of yesteryear with several modern twists. It may not win an award for innovation but fans of the genre are sure to enjoy it.

Jan 22, 2021A competent (mostly) rail-shooter with nice graphics and very simple gameplay.

Jan 27, 2021If you’re a fan of on-rails shooters, Redout: Space Assault is an enjoyable, if limited, addition to the genre.

Feb 16, 2021While fans of the original Redout might be wondering why Space Assault isn’t a lightning speed racer like its predecessor, it’s a competent on-rails shooter, but doesn’t really stand out either. The visuals will most likely impress you at first, but once you start to get into the core gameplay, you might start to question some of its design decisions like I did. I didn’t hate my time with it by any means, but I can’t seeing myself hopping back into the pilot seat any time soon.

Feb 5, 2021I’m afraid that Redout: Space Assault on Xbox just isn’t worth it. The game couldn’t be less interesting to play, because it isn’t interested in having you play it. Its story, if one could call it that, is a mindless distraction, and everything feels pointless.
