I'm particularly pleased with how well Nintendo has mastered the balancing act between nostalgia and a modern reinterpretation of Donkey Kong. Anyone who's been enjoying adventures with the ape since the 90s can look forward to a host of familiar faces. Anyone who awakens their inner Kong for the first time will still be able to follow all the action without any problems.- GameStar

Fallout 3, a successful reanimation of a classic role-playing game, is one of the best modern RPGs and one of the greatest games of 2008. With up to date 3D graphics, good game design and adequate playing time, it's one of those rare pleasant surprises one doesn't dare to hope for anymore. For some it's almost video game art, but it's definitely very good entertainment.- GameStar

Half-Life: Alyx redefines the word experience. Unfortunately, only in VR. And then again, luckily only in VR, because what Valve delivers here is exactly what VR fans have been hoping for for years: a system seller that makes virtual reality interesting even for people who have not had any interest in it before. And not just because of the name Half-Life, but because of the quality.- GameStar

Horizon still has its weaknesses and sometimes feels overloaded with all of the open-world activities, crafting systems or an annoying fast travel system. If I ignore all of this, I have a world open to me that shines above all because it really has something to say - be it within its history or even how we deal with each other and our planet in reality. That is exactly what I miss in many open world games, in which the story likes to degenerate into a breadcrumb trail for all kinds of filling tasks.- GameStar

In the last generation of consoles, I only had tears in my eyes twice. During the Yuriko quest from Ghost of Tsushima. And the credits of Cyberpunk. Think of that wistful stomach ache when you finish your favorite book for the first time. All the great characters, the heartwarming experiences, the strokes of fate, the funny coincidences rattle past your inner eye once again. It will never be the same as the first time. You would love to have your memory erased by a Ripperdoc so that you can relive it all. That's what Cyberpunk 2077 does to me. And probably with you too.- GameStar

No pit stops, no car tuning. Race Driver: Grid is all about driving, having fun and running a racing team. The game drops you right into the race without training laps or qualifying. AI opponents with almost humanlike behaviour, physically correct damage modelling, up to 40,000 spectators in 3D, bloom effects, smoke and force feedback create an amazingly intense feeling of being right smack in the middle. Need for Speed feels like bobbycar racing in comparison.- GameStar

To put it politely, we can say that the idea behind Achilles: Legends Untold is quite interesting and that theoretically it could still become a good game. At the moment, however, it's so heavily half-baked and unfinished. [Early Access Review]- GameStar
