With their own frightful agenda to pursue, they do not engage with the Ursun storyline in the Realm of Chaos campaign.

    • Burn it all down as 3 new Legendary Lords: Astragoth Ironhand, Drazhoath the Ashen, and Zhatan the Black.
    • Recruit Gorduz Backstabber to sneak behind your foes as the newest Legendary Hero.
    • Master chaotic magic with the all-new Lore of Hashut. Strike foes down with Hell Hammer or set them ablaze with Burning Wrath.
    • Construct the Great Drill of Hashut to break open Hashut’s domain and siphon his blood for cataclysmic powers.
    • Co-operate with your fellow Chaos Dwarfs to obtain District rewards in the Tower of Zharr or usurp others for their Seats in your quest for supremacy.

    A scorching, over-the-top sendup of capital’s morbid contempt for labour, Forge of the Chaos Dwarfs adds a wild new unit roster and a fun new campaign, and is an essential addition to Total War: Warhammer 3.

    Obviously, no fan needs every faction and race. But if you love Total War: Warhammer III and the Chaos side of things, Forge of the Chaos Dwarfs is an excellent addition to the game. The Chaos Dwarfs bring a unique style of play and offer an engaging new way to experience the campaigns. The Chaos Dwarfs are also a ton of fun in skirmishes. It’s on the pricey side compared to prior DLC, but absolutely worth it for fans of the game.

    While I could see some minor tuning that may still need to be done for balance in the near future, the Chaos Dwarf faction feels great once the ball gets rolling. Creative Assembly nailed the vibe of being an evil dwarf and shook up the typical gameplay that comes to mind when I think of Dwarfs. I can’t wait to jump back in and set the Total War Warhammer III world on fire again with enchanted burning metal and chaos magic.

    Looking at it by itself, the Forge of the Chaos Dwarfs DLC is another love letter to Warhammer Fantasy, doing justice to a highly-anticipated faction, and evolving the gameplay formula in a good direction on the campaign map with interesting mechanics. Glory to the military-industrial complex, glory to Hashut!

    Total War: Warhammer 3: Forge of the Chaos Dwarfs introduces a much-needed new race and units, potentially signaling a faster pace for post-launch content. While not every mechanic introduced is as impressive as the flames of Hashut and the campaign revisits some familiar tactics, it never truly disappoints. The diverse roster of units is the true highlight of this expansion.

    I have over 1000 hours combined in the three Total War Warhammer games. Forge of the Chaos Dwarfs has reignited my love of Total WarI have over 1000 hours combined in the three Total War Warhammer games. Forge of the Chaos Dwarfs has reignited my love of Total War Warhammer after the disastrous Realm of Chaos campaign and launch of TWW 3. The Chaos Dwarfs are probably now my new favorite faction in Total War Warhammer.

    Economy and expansion: the Chaos Dwarfs have by far the most complex economy to date of any Total War Warhammer faction. They use gold, labor, raw materials, armaments, and conclave influence. They have three types of settlements: towers, factories, and outposts. The play style encourages you to build tall rather than expanding quickly. It is incredibly satisfying to build a giant economic machine in the late game. The Chaos Dwarf Economy has much more variety and avoids the tedium of some other factions where you just spam the same buildings in hundreds of settlements.

    Units: the Chaos Dwarf units are great fun and well designed. You can build an army to handle almost any type of foe. You need a strong economy to do so though, and it's hard to build up quickly. Unit caps and limited gold prevent you from steam rolling the map. Overall the Chaos Dwarfs do not feel over powered despite their strong units.

    Price: the DLC is expensive. This has caused some controversy and ill feelings amongst fans. For me, the DLC was still worth it. It made me fall in love with Total War Warhammer again after leaving it for a number of months following bad experiences with the Realms of Chaos campaign. If the price is an issue for you, then wait to get it on sale.

    In conclusion, this is one of my favorite DLCs for Total War Warhammer yet, and I have played almost all of them. Fully recommend.    … Expand

    Game is continue improving. Chaos Dwarfs are great and unique race, with own unique gameplay and amazing visual style.

    In this dlc the performance has decreased a lot and as you progress in the campaign every turn gets worse
