In the late 13th century, the Mongol empire has laid waste to entire nations along their campaign to conquer the East. Tsushima Island is all that stands between mainland Japan and a massive Mongol invasion fleet led by the ruthless and cunning general, Khotun Khan.

As the island burns in the wake of the first wave of the Mongol assault, courageous samurai warrior Jin Sakai stands resolute. As one of the last surviving members of his clan, Jin is resolved to do whatever it takes, at any cost, to protect his people and reclaim his home. He must set aside the traditions that have shaped him as a warrior to forge a new path, the path of the Ghost, and wage an unconventional war for the freedom of Tsushima.

The PC version of the excellent Ghost of Tsushima is the complete package, thanks to the inclusion of the Iki Island expansion and the multiplayer mode. This makes the already beautiful journey to the feudal Japan an even greater treat for PC users, showcasing one of the best open-world games from Sony's Studios.

Nixxes scores another goal with the port of Ghost of Tsushima to PC, one of the best samurai adventures of all time, which is now even more spectacular. A brilliant work that stands out for how polished and well optimized it is, and that even adds options that until now seemed unthinkable.

Ghost of Tsushima not only impresses as a beautifully staged samurai open world, but also as an outstanding PC port.

When it appeared on PS4 in 2020, Ghost of Tsushima was a bit overshadowed by some other heavy hitters like The Last of Us Part 2. Since then, and especially after the update on PS5, the game has only risen in respect and popularity. Ghost of Tsushima remains a fantastic action RPG with stellar performances, art direction, and gameplay. Nixxes’ PC version is a model for success: full-featured, stable, optimized, and a pleasure to play.
  6. Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut debuted as the best PlayStation exclusive game ported to PC so far.

Ghost of Tsushima is a good, but by no means outstanding open-world game. All its magic lies in the distinctive atmosphere of feudal Japan and the romanticized vision of the samurai world. If bloody sword fights shown against the backdrop of beautiful nature appeal to you, you are unlikely to find anything better on the market. As for the PC port, there is nothing to complain about, although I feel it could look a little better.
