The best thing about Disney Illusion Island Starring Mickey and Friends is, firstly, the cooperative multiplayer for up to four people and, secondly, the fluidity of the character movements and animations, two factors that partly compensate for the lack of combat and the simplicity of the level design. However, the unambitious production and the lack of use of Disney characters still make it clear that this is a metroidvania that, even if it is fun to play in a group and bears the name of a big brand, was not made to be memorable.

Copycat is a touching experience that invites us to see the world through the eyes of Dawn, a kitten scarred by trauma who seeks to understand her place and purpose in the world. With simple yet varied gameplay, the focus here is not on complex mechanics, but rather on offering a narrative that moves, comforts, and makes us reflect on the true meaning of home.

One Piece Odyssey offers some of the franchise's most iconic moments, without appealing to mindless nostalgia and moving the plot forward. With solid and traditional combat and exploration systems, it lacks in the narrative unnecessarily and in the limited level design, but the balance is still very positive, especially if you are a fan of the Straw Hat Pirates.

Lego 2K Drive lets you drive at full speed leaving a trail of destruction across open worlds and intense race tracks. Despite bringing good ideas to the table, the game keeps many cards hidden in its sleeve, at the cost of Drive Pass and microtransactions. It is possible to have a lot of fun playing the campaign entirely offline, but there is an absence of more content characteristic of the versatility of the LEGO brand, mainly the minifigures, which cannot be customized and are scarce to acquire by playing, but, not without irony, are abundant in the microtransactions.

Grandia HD Collection needs to be seen from two perspectives. As a game, it features two excellent and charismatic adventures with one of the best turn-based combat systems in JRPGs, highly recommended for anyone who enjoys the style. However, as a collection to relaunch old games, only the bare minimum was done, without extras or quality of life improvements. Even with the important step of bringing the games to more current platforms, these versions have technical flaws and are far from being definitive.

Shadows of Rose is a nice addition to the Resident Evil Village story, bringing new puzzles with new gameplay mechanics. However, it uses the same enviroment as the base game and its ending is disappointing. The Third Person Mode is interesting and should please those who avoided the title for being in first person. Finally, the new characters in The Mercenaries are valid additions, but needing to unlock them is unnecessary and because of this it is possible that many players will not even see them.

Even without revolutionary additions, Amnesia: The Bunker does not disappoint in the horror department. The darkness of the underground is really scary and fills you with anxiety, but, despite not being something necessarily negative, the new game in the franchise brings more of the same without being especially striking. Bleach: Rebirth of Souls establishes a straightforward and relatively simple gameplay model to understand, which costs it depth and diversity, especially for the most dedicated players. Visually unstable, its narrative mode underplays the franchise's potential, making it a good fighting game, but an uninspired adaptation.

Persona 3 Reload - Episode Aigis: The Answer is the perfect epilogue to one of the best games of the year. NHL 23 is a good if not revolutionary entry into an already commendable simulation sports game. It might not bring anything new to the ice, but it builds on the already pretty precise gameplay and its additions to the current modes make it a very solid entry to the series.

SAND LAND has its merits in respecting and expanding the original work of the legendary Akira Toriyama. But what it gets right in terms of narrative and design, it fails in combat and exploration systems: , which are as generic and uninteresting as a desert full of sand and... more sand.

Life is Strange: Reunion is a good game in the series, but it plays it too safe. The gameplay is great - like going back in time with Max and the parts with Chloe. The voice acting is amazing. But the story isn't the emotional rollercoaster the series is known for - from beginning to end it's like a stroll in the park on a Sunday afternoon.

Full Metal Schoolgirl delivers a great satire on Japanese "Black Companies" and has a solid foundation, but it needs more polished gameplay to justify its roguelike aspect, which quickly becomes very repetitive.

Pac-Man World Re-Pac is a simple, short and easy platform game. Despite the new coat of paint on the graphics and animations, it's still the same PS1 game underneath. If your nostalgia for the title is high, it might be worth checking out. Otherwise, because of its low difficulty, it's a game recommended for children. The duration, however, will be short in any case.
