The sequel greatly expands the cast, refines the exploration, narrative, and combat systems, and offers the best visuals the subgenre can currently achieve.

I felt a lack of aesthetic evolution, but the ambition was invested in the Architect mode to create and share new levels, greatly increasing the possibilities of enjoying this lovely and relaxing game which, even though it is single-player, can be enjoyed with the whole family.

Smalland stands out for presenting a setting in a rich and diverse universe, being excellent for creation and survival games. Greater adjustments and refinements could further improve the experience over time, but it is perhaps a game more suitable for those who are not looking for a very robust combat system.

The Land Beneath Us takes inspiration from great games to deliver an engaging and fun experience, with a nice narrative and addictive gameplay.

Patapon 1+2 Replay is a collection that lovingly revives two of the most creative games in the PSP catalog and brings them back with a fresh look, quality-of-life improvements, and the same captivating and fun gameplay. The combination of rhythm and strategy continues to work incredibly well, and even with the absence of Patapon 3, it's an experience worth rediscovering.

Knowing exactly how to please its fans, Puzzle Quest: Immortal Edition is a grand compilation of a true pillar of the genre, blending classic gem-matching puzzles with a progression typical of RPGs. Without attempting to reinvent itself, however, it doesn't go much beyond that, and the sheer volume of content isn't necessarily a desirable quality in a repetitive system that can tire in longer play sessions.

GrimGrimoire OnceMore is an excellent remaster of a hidden gem from the PS2 era that finally gets the chance to receive the attention it deserves. Its 2D RTS system works exceptionally well and its story is as good as its gameplay.

Trinity Fusion brings a good mix of the roguelite and metroidvania genres. However, some limitations in its build creation system and the constant feeling of repetition of scenarios and enemies prevent it from reaching a more prominent place among the many options in the genre.

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage is a game that should be enjoyed in the right "vibe". It brings back a sense of nostalgia for the 90s, while also having a plot that manages to hook us in. The character development is solid and creates bonds with the player. There are some technical issues that patches could fix, as well as some slow moments in the narrative. Gloomy Eyes features an engaging narrative and creative puzzles. Even though it's a brief experience, its gameplay delivers enough to please those looking for a lighthearted adventure with a mysterious atmosphere.

Here we enter a particularly difficult case to judge: is it worth playing Chrono Cross these days? Absolutely. Is this faulty port worth buying at its launch price? It depends. It's a shame the remaster turned out this way, but Chrono Cross is still a gem even after all these years.

Heading Out is an interesting proposition that stands out for its themes, its uncompromising arcade racing style, and its visual aesthetic. It lacks much of the randomness that should be emphasized in a roguelike, which sometimes makes the experience unpleasant.

Forgotten at the bottom of the trunk, Cannon Dancer Osman is a piece of history brought back to new platforms for the first time. The visuals will please pixel art connoisseurs and the intense gameplay is simple and fun as an arcade title should be. The many quality of life improvement options are welcome and even allow you to configure slightly different ways to play, but this help can end up making the enjoyment even shorter than it actually is. In the end, it's a game recommended for the nostalgic, the curious and those who intend to play a very brief campaign over and over again, improving their technique with each quick attempt to reach the end.

Berzerk: Recharged is fun for a limited time and gets it right by using strong arcade game elements. However, a bolder approach would guarantee an even larger audience for the Atari classic in its new version.

Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & The White Guardian is a fun and rewarding celebration of the series, delivering a lighthearted adventure that compiles many of the elements that have made it so beloved by its fans. While less accessible to newcomers and with some issues, such as the overly simplified synthesis system, if you've been a fan of Gust's work with the franchise for roughly a decade, this game will warm your heart.

Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake is the definitive experience of one of the 2003 horror classics. With enhanced graphics, new mechanics, high replayability, and a story that offers significant weight for players, the title establishes itself as one of the best games in the franchise by far.

Persona 5 Tactica is a great Tactical RPG, bringing another good story with the iconic group of Phantom Thieves, a mystery that will keep you interested in its resolution and explores a new gameplay style not yet seen in the franchise, although not very challenging. If you are a fan of the series, this is another spin-off that will please you and introduces an addictive new genre.

No small flaw can detract from the invigorating brilliance of Bye Sweet Carole, a game that finds in its obvious inspirations the breath of creativity and identity that the horror genre so desperately needs. With mesmerizing art, sound, and animation, and a script full of subtleties and layers of insight, the point-and-click exploration and puzzle-solving mechanics serve a captivating protagonist well on her personal journey of self-discovery and growth.

Disney Speedstorm establishes a very interesting, fun and promising structural base. If it is not a revolution in the genre, it knows how to rely on the rich universe of Mickey's house IPs and does so in a pleasant, immersive and seductive way, leaving to be seen whether, in the near future, the business model adopted here will be adequate (or not) for the platform and audience to which it is dedicated.

Soul Hackers 2 is a different title than what is usually expected from Atlus, but it is also one of their best and most original games in recent years. It's a highly recommended title if you're already a fan of the company's games or turn-based RPGs in general.

Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus is stunning, atmospheric, fun and challenging. Although not much original, it's a great metroidvania which uses the right inspirations to paint a Japanese fable of such contemplative beauty and rewarding agility like few others before it could achieve.

Still Wakes The Deep doesn't use any traditional gameplay system and manages to sustain itself solely on the power of good writing and doses of tension at the right times.

The Quarry is a game that has its glitches and some technical issues, but that does not take away from the shine of playing a title with excellent actors who lent not only their faces, but also their acting talent, making this one of the best interactive story games from Supermassive Games.
