Sep 3, 2025Everybody's Golf Hot Shots is a massive hit, offering plenty of fun and exciting modes along with gameplay that's easy to lean yet tricky to master.
-
Sep 5, 2025Everybody's Golf is back, and though this latest entry is by a new developer, it's everything you'd expect. The three-button shot system makes a return, keeping the action accessible, but Everybody's Golf Hot Shots still requires a fair amount of skill. The main negative here is that progression is slow, so it'll take a while to unlock things like additional characters.

Sep 15, 2025Everybody’s Golf: Hot Shots is a triumphant return for the long-running arcade golfing series. It strives to be the be-all and end-all for the genre and more than succeeds on that front, providing rewarding mechanics that challenge and excite, always in pursuit of a new little thing. Where it’s aggressively anime and chibi art-style (and the voice acting that comes with that) will no doubt irritate some, they’ll delight twice as many. I’m a simple girl; I see anime girls in anything, and I’m charmed. With so much to see and do, with many little moving parts to make this a deceptively deep experience, the Hot Shots series is back with a blast, and it’s about damn time, too.

Sep 3, 2025Hot Shots on PS5 takes the safest route, and it does so with dignity. Yet it also leaves the suspicion that the less safe path—the one of risk—was the only truly necessary one to restore the series to the freshness it deserves.

Oct 11, 2025Everybody's Golf: Hot Shots is a highly entertaining sports game for casual players and simulation enthusiasts, even if its simplistic presentation leaves something to be desired.

Sep 5, 2025Everybody’s Golf: Hot Shots lands in the rough. At first glance, it seems to capture the spirit of the originals, but closer inspection reveals what it’s missing. Dated visuals, inconsistent performance, and grating dialogue build frustration. While the game offers plenty of modes and chaotic multiplayer options, the lack of gameplay innovation makes these features feel stale. You might enjoy a quick round, but it doesn’t do enough to keep you hooked for the full 18.

Sep 4, 2025When compared to the other golf juggernauts in the video game landscape, the physics are poorly executed. Swings, timing, impact, and reads are far too inconsistent and hinder the enjoyment of the realistic aspects of the game far too much. Combine this with annoying camera angles, bad textures, and grindy gameplay unlock mechanics, and the air gets completely sucked out of the room...The main saving grace for Everybody's Golf Hot Shots is that Wacky Golf is chaotic fun with friends, especially if you don't care about winning. If you're going into the game expecting this to be a next step in the evolution of the series, though, I hope you've got a pretty high handicap, as you're going to need it.
