I’m a simple girl; I see anime girls in anything, and I’m charmed. With so much to see and do, with many little moving parts to make this a deceptively deep experience, the Hot Shots series is back with a blast, and it’s about damn time, too.

Hot Shots on PS5 takes the safest route, and it does so with dignity. Yet it also leaves the suspicion that the less safe path—the one of risk—was the only truly necessary one to restore the series to the freshness it deserves.
