This is the great premise of Tales of Kenzera: ZAU, a metroidvania-style game that, while inviting us to explore the beautiful biomes of Kenzera, also makes us reflect on loss and mourning, allowing us to see death with new eyes. Surgent Studios' debut title succeeds in bringing a good balance between exploration, puzzle, combat and action while presenting us with a story full of inspiration from Bantu myths and legends, guided by a great soundtrack. The game works as an excellent gateway to the genre and brings with it a plot of reflection and acceptance.

Stray subverts our expectations by putting us through the unlikely point of view of a kitten with no fantastic powers or abilities on an exciting journey back to its home. Just Dance 2026 Edition maintains the vibrant and fun essence that has made the franchise famous over the years, offering a solid selection of songs and choreography for all tastes, as well as significant technical improvements — such as the use of the smartphone camera as a full-body sensor. Team Ninja once again shows its quality by further improving an excellent combat system and adapting it to an open world game. Masterfully representing Japan in one of its most troubled periods, in addition to delivering a complete quality package, Rise of the Ronin only fails in technical aspects and in some design decisions that can compromise in the end.

Tales of Berseria remains one of the most emblematic and darkest chapters in the franchise, with a mature plot that inverts traditional roles by placing us in the shoes of villains and a combat system that may superficially seem simple, but brings a good layer of complexity. The quality-of-life improvements in this version make the experience more fluid and adapted to current standards, although the need for this remaster is questionable for those who already own the PS4 version.

Horizon Call of the Mountain is an excellent technical showcase of the PlayStation VR2. It is a must-have for everyone who wants the headset. Fantastic graphics, incredible interaction with the environment and a functional combat in VR. The only downsides are in the simple story and the lack of some extras, because after the campaign is done, there is not much to do.

Surprisingly, Madden NFL 26 finally delivers (albeit partially) on its promises of truly delivering significant improvements over its predecessors, whether in terms of more dynamic gameplay; a visual presentation that better explores what's already established; and the dynamics within its main modes. Despite some technical issues and controversial concepts, it's the best the franchise has offered in a long time.

Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy is more of the same, and we love it exactly for that reason. Players who are familiar with the adventures of Zoya, Pontius and Amadeus know exactly what to expect and will certainly leave satisfied. And for players who aren't, this is an opportunity to embark on a magical world filled with puzzles. The experience is even better when shared with friends, either in local or online co-op.

Choice of Life: Wild Islands isn't one of the most innovative games in terms of audiovisual aspects, nor does it revolutionize the gameplay principles of the interactive narrative genre, but it effectively manages to create countless branching possibilities within its diverse stories, valuing the player's power of choice and offering satisfying rewards to those most dedicated to exploring its possibilities.

Shadows of Doubt has some interface design issues, needs to fix its bugs and is far from being user-friendly. But it is so brilliant in executing its proposal of narrative freedom in solving puzzles that it deserves to be celebrated, especially in times when safe sameness seems to guide the market towards repetition and superficiality.

The title doesn't seek to expand its reach, but instead delivers a polished experience within its niche. Overall, Dragon Age: The Veilguard updates some of the franchise's most well-known systems, simplifying many of them in favor of a lighter tone and more straightforward narrative. While the art style and combat may divide audiences, the narrative suffers from inconsistencies, and the fluidity favors action over the strategy that is so characteristic of the franchise.
