    While there’s been no content added to either the PlayStation or Xbox versions, you’ll still have plenty to do here. There’s the main questline to engage with that’ll take you through multiple monster quest tiers, which is somewhat short compared to other Monster Hunter titles. But the online hub quests expand that out even further, offering up more story content that goes beyond the end credits of the game, and has a number of challenging fights for experienced hunters. There’s also a whole host of free downloadable quests to engage with, encompassing the free DLC that’s come out on prior versions of the game. All in all, you’ll be able to spend a lot of time exploring and hunting down giant monsters, which is pretty much what you want out of a new Monster Hunter game.

    Not as ambitious and revolutionary as its predecessor, but still a fantastic game. It boasts several brilliant innovations and is very welcoming towards newer players. I can’t get enough!

    Regardless of which version is played, though, the same thing holds true in 2023 that was evident a few years ago: Monster Hunter Rise is an excellent, massive game, and should be experienced by anyone with even a slight fondness for action-RPGs or monster hunting genres.

    Monster Hunter Rise distills the fun of boss fights into an entire game, and it excels at doing so. While it is good in single-player, the best experience is found online playing with fellow hunters. Despite not adequately holding the player's hand in regard to its ancillary systems, Rise never gets in its own way, and offers a fun experience for both casual players looking for short bursts of fun, as well as the more hardcore looking for a time sink.

It's not as detailed as World/Iceborne but it's just as fun to play, with a ton of monsters to hunt. The new wirebugs feature and doggy pet makes your hunter move around like never before.     Ok people are straight lying about this game on here... The game runs perfectly fine on ps5... On average 30+ frames higher than the switchOk people are straight lying about this game on here... The game was designed basically by the portable monster hunter team (The one's that worked on the psp titles) it was made to be played with portable gaming in mind, people who played world will find it's a less cinimatic game with more emphasis on combat. The combat also is faster and more mobile than world, but the actually quests themselves are not as difficult. I would say this is the best starting part to get into the series but Monster Hunter is not for everyone, it's a game that rewards you for learning the mechanics and not forgiving you if you don't. If you're a fan of online (can also be played offline) action rpgs with loot mechanics you can't do any better than Monster Hunter but not everyone will have the patience to master the mechanics.… Expand

    Thoughts-
    Monster Hunter has been on a great run, and it’s great to have another entry in the books that knows well why it works and emphasizes that as much as possible. Rise is as accessible and enjoyable as World, if not as content-rich, but it takes what made the formula work and continues pushing it forward. Not everything works perfectly, but for a game that has so firmly created a unique identity, Monster Hunter Rise provides some of the most rewarding, fun core gameplay the genre has offered to date.    … Expand

    The weapons are good
    The armor is very bad with set bonuses It’s way too difficult to get the gems to customize your armor.

    Enemies are just too hard.
    The action is too slow and unexhilarating.
    Weapon sharpness gauges are a hindrance. Collecting materials is work.
