Dec 5, 2023Have a Nice Death is a challenging roguelite, but also a lot of fun. Even though its randomness can be frustrating in some cases, the huge variety of build alternatives and the excellent combat system are capable of keeping you motivated to overcome these adversities.

Jan 29, 2024Proving that even the Grim Reaper can’t catch a break, Have a Nice Death is another rogue filled with snappy combat, gorgeous visuals and slick writing. It’s hard, and sometimes doesn’t feel rewarding, but it’s definitely worth the grind. Feeling like Death never felt so good.

When you get on a good run and build yourself up with beneficial buffs and powerful attacks, the game starts to sing. There's definitely plenty to like about Have a Nice Death, but its flaws prevent it from reaching the heights of its contemporaries.
