Sep 19, 2024The original Dead Rising shows its age these days but it’s still a fantastic experience for those who can adapt to it. Deluxe Remaster addresses this, adding a whole host of small additions, quality of life improvements and a beautiful graphical overhaul that keeps the core of the game intact. As much as I did miss the original voice cast, Deluxe Remaster cements itself as the way to play Dead Rising.

There was a chance that Dead Rising was going to be stuck in a grave forever, but Deluxe Remaster proves that the dead can, and should, rise again.

Sep 17, 2024If you want to experience this franchise for the first time, I would say that buying this version is the best way to get into zombie-themed sandboxes. With this type of product, they remind us that major changes in game mechanics are not necessary to bring back classics that have been missing for years.

Sep 17, 2024Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is not a remake and a simple remaster. You’ll find everything exactly as it was in 2006 but with better graphics. Even if it’s still fun to kill hundreds of zombies, the gameplay, the controls, the structure and some technical aspects are painfully outdated. The game has truly aged badly and could have benefited from a deeper work by taking some of the evolutions of the next installments.
