Even after 21 years Metroid Prime is in a class of its own. The gameplay has aged remarkably well and the new dual-stick controls work like a charm. Visually this is one of the best remaster treatments we have seen so far: Everything looks like we remembered it, but with so much more detail added that you might mistake it for a fully-fledged remake. Although lacking new content or added features, this game is still an easy choice for every Switch owner: If you buy only one Metroid game in your lifetime, let it be this one.- PC Games

Like its predecessor, Deliver us Mars lives from its great atmosphere, but this time it also complements it with a well-staged narrative. The clearly more personal story, in which a family's discord is also symbolic for humanity's fight for survival and their different views on the future, fascinates from the first minute on. It doesn't even bother that it doesn't rumble and bang at every corner.- PC Games

Marvel's Midnight Suns has a number of quirks that are minor in themselves. In total, however, they do eat away at the gameplay experience. But despite these quirks, we had a hell of a lot of fun with the game. It delivers exactly what we had hoped for from a tactical role-playing game with superheroes: gripping battles, great characters and a huge scope that kept us interested for a long time. For someone with Marvel fan glasses, Marvel's Midnight Suns is a wonderful game. But at the end of the day, we're also left with a bit of a feeling that with a little more care and polish, there could have been more.- PC Games

Having no main series entry for over two console generations, Gungrave G.O.R.E is faced with high expecations from its loyal fanbase that it can not fully satisfy. Like its predecessors G.O.R.E is an arcade style third person shooter that lacks variety in gameplay, enemies and level design. Often monotone and with an uninteresting plot, it still has its moments once the gameplay loop gets going. But overall it could have been much more and only functions as an elaborate protoype for a potentially good Gungrave game.- PC Games

The writing is dreadful and much of the game feels like it could have been released 17 years ago. But if you look past some of its shortcomings, there is a decent action game hidden underneath. Miles Morales offers the same excellent gameplay as its predecessor with a shorter campaign, richer side missions and some fun new abilities. While it's more of a standalone expansion rather than a full-fledged sequel, the charming cast of characters and a well done coming of age story make it a must-play for fans of the first game. With the PC port, developer Nixxes Software has once again done a great job. Even the weakest version of Nier: Automata is an unforgettable, mindblowing experience you absolutely shouldn’t miss. Platinum Games‘ return to form manages to deliver one of the most action-packed and over the top games of recent memory. Bayonetta's demon slaves enrich the already deep combat even further and are both fun to watch and control. Sure, the story is as convoluted and uninteresting as ever, not all of the game‘s many mechanics and set-pieces are as polished as the combat and the Switch‘s aging hardware doesn’t do the graphics any favors. But if you like your action games fast, fluid and completely bonkers, this is a tour de force that packs enough punch and content to be worth the asking price.- PC Games

New Tales from the Borderlands is a coherent adventure game that manages to convey the wit and charm of the Borderlands universe. Also because the game doesn't take itself, its universe and video games in general too seriously. Surreal, grotesque and hauntingly beautiful. Scorn does not offer much in terms of story or depth, but the atmosphere and art direction are off the charts. With its stylish Anime-inspired presentation, accessible combat and intriguing plot, Soulstice makes a strong first impression. Over the course of the game’s 15 to 20 hour runtime, however, the shallow, often chaotic combat, mindnumbing level design and uninteresting progression system drag it down quite a lot. If you desperately crave a new, somewhat big budget hack & slay, the game might be worth a look, but don’t expect it to reach the heights of any Devil May Cry or Bayonetta.- PC Games

Even tough Islets was developed by only one person, it’s definitely a well-rounded and surprisingly extensive Metroidvania. The developer clearly has a lot of love for the genre and implemented varied and challenging boss fights, a well thought level design and interesting skills. Some minor bugs, for example too far away teleport points and rough animations show that this game is made by only one person. But that shouldn’t prevent you from enjoying this very hard, but rewarding game. Definitely not the sweet, carefree island adventure it looks like on first sight.- PC Games

The reboot of the series is not a bad game. In it's best moments it is goofy over the top fun. The problem is: These moments are extremely rare. Most of the time you're playing repetitive missions where you're shooting AI enemies who are incredibly stupid and the gunplay feels like straight from the year 2005. But the biggest flaw of the game is its' humour. It is funny at times, but never as hilarious as the old Saints Rows. It is a mediocre game with only flashes of what the series was beloved for ten years ago.- PC Games

Even though the setting and many gameplay elements in Thymesia aren’t new for Soulslike-enthusiasts, the game’s enjoyable combat and progression show that the developers understand the genre. The versatile plague weapons are fun to collect and use, while the compact skill system allows for useful fine-tuning when bosses get difficult. And while they rarely do that, most of them offer unique and varied encounters. But the particularly hard bosses do exhibit some of the game’s wonky difficulty balancing and sometimes imprecise gameplay mechanics. Also, Thymesia isn’t a very big or replayable game, though the fair asking price somewhat alleviates that.- PC Games

The American football simulation still has technical problems - some old ones that have been known for years (e.g. broken PS5 trophies), but some completely new ones. That's a terrible shame, because otherwise the makers have actually taken a step forward. Franchise mode has finally gotten some love. The gameplay didn't start a revolution, but the skill-based passes introduced an interesting innovation on the offensive. In terms of gameplay, Madden NFL 23 is arguably the best in a long time. Spider-Man is one of the best superhero games of all time with some of the best and most satisfying movement-systems ever seen in an open world title. While most of the side stuff consists of your typical Ubisoft-style fetch-quests, this movement makes even those enjoyable. Throw on a very fluid and enjoyable combat system along with a well paced story and you've got yourself a game that hasn't lost much of its luster since releasing in 2018. The new PC post is very solid with a wide array of options, impressive raytracing and support for three different upscaling systems, enabling good performance across many configurations. Sonic is the hero of my childhood! I grew up with 2D platformers and my Mega Drive with games is now well protected in a glass cabinet in the living room. Accordingly, I approached Sonic Origins with hope. Sega would have had the chance to interest younger players and offer old fans a little added value. But they missed it cleanly. For new players, 40 euros for four old games will be too much. At the same time, the collection offers almost nothing new for fans. Sure, the scans of the old manuals and developer sketches are nice, but they are nothing more than some fluff on top. The versions of the games work good on Xbox Series and still play fantastically, but they are only warmed up and nothing here is original from the Mega Drive. This is simply unworthy of these classics of gaming history.- PC Games

Not necessarily a great strategy game on its own, but still a charming budget title that treats its license with respect and delivers some of the best Starship Troopers action we've seen in any video game so far.- PC Games

The new regions of High Isle are once again great in design, the quests are fantastically written and there is a lot to do. In detail, however, we are disappointed on a high level. The quest design has been more varied in the past, and the battles rarely offer a challenge. Furthermore, it's about time that Zenimax adds new classes oder weapon types, something that brings a breath of fresh air.- PC Games

Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes feels like a classic warriors game but still requires strategic thinking. It provides little to no innovation regarding the core gameplay, instead it offers quite a few aspects we‘ve already seen and loved in Three Houses. If you miss the characters and want to enjoy some fast-paced combat, it’s worth checking out.- PC Games

TMNT Shredder’s Revenge is a fantastic hommage to Turtles movies, cartoons, games and even toys. The beautiful art style and the phenomenal soundtrack really make one feel like playing a modern version of Turtles in Time with a lot of fresh ideas and improvements. The gameplay is smooth, the animations are great and combat is easy to learn but surprisingly deep for a brawler game. If you like the Turtles or the brawler genre, you will have lots of fun with the game. Especially in coop mode with up to six players. If you like the Turtles AND the brawler genre, you will simply love Shredder’s Revenge. This is the game, Turtles fans have been waiting for.- PC Games

One of the best mobile games suffers from one of the worst cases of monetization we've seen in years. Blizzard misses its one shot to finally win back some of its loudest critics. What we have instead is a Diablo that will forever be labeled as a greedy pay-to-win game - even if there is actually a ton of great content that you can enjoy without spending a dime. Diablo Immortal may be worth your time, but certainly not your money.- PC Games

A Musical Story isn’t a conventional rhythm game. This adventure focuses on the story, if your goal is to achieve high scores, you have to look elsewhere. Albeit on the short side, this is an enjoyable road trip with vibrant visuals and groovy music.- PC Games

Mario Strikers Battle League Football is wild, chaotic and – because of that – a lot of fun. The gameplay is smooth and well balanced and the presentation is absolutely gorgeous. Sadly the content is ridiculous. Only 10 players to choose from, five stadiums that do not have any special effects on the game and three game modes are included. That is too little for a price of 60 Euros.- PC Games

Silt is an atmospheric and surreal experience with an outstanding artstyle and a lot of well balanced, creative puzzles. Unfortunately the controls are quite imprecise, so that some parts later in the game are a bit annoying. Silt is not a masterpiece like Limbo, but definitely an amazing experience.- PC Games

Sniper Elite 5 has a few weaknesses like the cliche story, the frumpy graphics and some bugs. But overall it’s a great game with a lot of gameplay variety and a great amount of content.- PC Games
