We Were Here Forever is with the right partner a really unigue cooperative experience. The puzzles are difficult und sometimes even a little too hard. Don’t even bother with checking the hints the game offers you, most of the time they won’t be helpful at all. We strongly recommend finding someone to play with beforehand, because you need to communicate nonstop in order to escape. But overall We Were Here Forever feels better than its prequel.- PC Games

The first Visual Novel actually made by the creators of The Dark Eye. The story seems like the generic thing someone would do for their very first tabletop campaign, so it kind of fits for the very first installment. However, if you are a Fan of the Dark Eye, you’ll definitely enjoy this Visual Novel a lot! Especially with these beautiful visuals.- PC Games

Long stretches of treading water and laborious conversations make for an extremely passive and not very fullfilling gameplay-experience...There might be a – well, moderately - beautiful swan hidden in this ugly duckling. While the solid gameplay from the PC version stays untouched, the new controls make it a little more difficult to keep track of bigger towns and all their similar looking buildings. The sluggish performance in later areas of the game make it even more clear that the PS5 version is not quite on par with the PC original.- PC Games

I’ve played all sorts of Souls-likes, including some made primarily for mobile platforms, which is to say that I don’t necessarily need the highest production standards to enjoy the core formula. I’d be willing to forgive the laughable presentation, if the gameplay wasn’t equally bad. The game feels bad to control, the animations are stiff and clunky, the user interface is a farce, the level environments are criminally boring, crafting equipment is annoying and tedious, the bossfights are terribly designed – there’s next to nothing here that isn’t subpar. Granted, there are a few good ideas and boss mechanics in there, but all of them are either poorly executed or half-hearted. Dolmen is not only the worst Souls-like I’ve played yet, it’s also a good contender for one of this year’s worst games.- PC Games

After more than 40 hours spent with 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, I have witnessed a consistently impressive story with a fitting ending. I have met a wonderful cast of loveable and unique characters. I have enjoyed endlessly addicting combat between Sentinel against Deimos, and read every intriguing mystery file. This is a game like no other. In confidently sticking to its unconventional ideas, it may alienate some. However, those who connect with it are in for a wonderful time. Even after fully completing 13 Sentinels, its story, characters and fighting sequences continue to stay on my mind. There‘s something magical about Kirby’s new adventure. It brings back that childlike joy which comes from exploring a big museum, library or department store. The game is easy enough to pick up, but also more challenging than recent outings of the pink puffball. In some places, it is breathtakingly beautiful, while in others, it is just cute, silly fun. It may have a nonsensical story, it may not be a next grand open-world adventure, but Kirby and the Forgotten Land is wonderful nonetheless. It is pure joy from start to finish.- PC Games

When it comes to presenting an accurate and impressively detailed version of Tokyo, Ghostwire makes a great first impression. Despite literally being a ghost town, the city feels alive and captures neon-soaked pop-culture as well as ancient mythology and folklore. The two main characters deliver a convincing performance, too, and their story is entertaining, despite being quite short. Everything else, though – the combat system, the progression and the quest design – is the bare minimum of what’s acceptable from a big budget open world game. The combat, while fun to a degree, is especially thin with just three laughable spells and enemies without any special tactics or weakpoints. The unlockable upgrades are boring and unoriginal and the side quests, while having interesting setups, are mostly short and lack satisfying payoffs. Still, there is fun to be had in exploring ghost-infested Tokyo – it’s just not a creative, unique sort of fun, but rather a pretty mindless and extremely familiar one.- PC Games

While not as punchy as Doom Eternal, the energetic, over-the-top combat is fluid, satisfying and by far the best aspect of Shadow Warrior 3. Everything else, however, seems like a big step back from its predecessor: Repetitive parkour segments, terrible writing, bland level design and a limited supply of weapons are not quite enough to carry the game through its playtime, which clocks around six hours or so. With no coop and very little reason to give it another go, the asking price seems a bit steep as well.- PC Games

The games of the Gothic series had a decisive influence on my childhood and Piranha Bytes as developers have always had a special place in my heart. This atmosphere and credibility in a game world can hardly be found in any other role-playing game to this day. But the magic has slowly faded for me. Yes, Elex 2 also pushes the right buttons and the first chapters were among the best the studio has produced in years. So I could easily overlook the once again mediocre battle system and the weak technology. But I was all the more horrified when this whole structure began to crumble halfway through and completely collapsed towards the end. Piranha Bytes should have focused less on the long playing time and more on a consistently strong atmosphere and quest-design.- PC Games

Elden Ring absolutely manages to deliver on what was promised, and is, despite some minor annoyances, one of the finest gaming experiences I’ve had in years. That’s not only due to the rock-solid gameplay foundation, with its flexible class system, versatile weapons and progression mechanics. It’s also not only because of the morbid, dense atmosphere and the mysterious, captivating setting. It isn’t even solely the open world, which makes me want to spend every spare second exploring it with its gorgeous, monumental vistas and densely packed locations. Instead, the masterful combination of all these great qualities is what really makes Elden Ring special. Yes, the game has stopped me in my tracks multiple times, forcing me to leave bosses and places for later due to the somewhat slower progression system. But every time it does, it offers up dozens of other locations to test my mettle, become stronger and more skilled. And this cycle of trial and triumph is so immensely engaging that it’s going to keep me entertained for months to come.- PC Games

Creative Assembly goes big with this final outing of the Warhammer trilogy. For veterans, it offers large amounts of content, most notably a total of eight playable races as well as an enhanced diplomacy system. Windjammers 2 is really good for what it is. If, like me, you can have fun with such small titles and don't always expect so much, you've come to the right place. There's no fuss or waiting around to get into a match. It only takes a few seconds from the start of the game to the first round. Despite this apparent simplicity, the gameplay convinces with enough depth. The nice optics including catchy character designs and the appropriate music are also to be positively emphasized. But what speaks most for Windjammers is their uniqueness. You don't see a sports game that goes in the direction of a fighting game and primarily relies on throwing Frisbees every day. Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One is a very good detective game. It gives us the illusion of being a true master detective. The game world is a great alternative to London. Sadly, there’s one serious flaw: Chapter One is too easy with barely any real puzzles around. However, it’s still a must-have for any fan of Sherlock Holmes, if only to see how the young Holmes became the Detective we all love.- PC Games

Disciples: Liberation takes us on an epic adventure through a Dark Fantasy world that is filled with conflict and pain. The compelling narrative, characters and the tough decisions you have to make again and again to balance your standing in the four factions are what drives this game forward. The gameplay alone wouldn’t be able to motivate us for the 80 hour adventure, it is just to simple. The combat rarely presents a challenge and with the abundance of resources loses are easily replaced. We still had a lot of fun, since the roleplay aspect of the game works well enough.- PC Games

Battlefield 2042 had the Matchball against Call of Duty in 2021. When Fans were disappointed about the first look on Vanguard, Battlefield came as the Savior. But they dropped the Ball. Battlefield 2042 is a good game with great moments, but behind every new design decision is a big, fat “BUT”. The new Specialists are a great way to diversify the Gameplay and gives freedom to the players, BUT they kill the Teamplay with this new freedom. Hazard Zone has some great moments in it, BUT the devs forgot motivational systems for gamers to play it long time. The Gameplay is a good mix of the best Battlefields, BUT there are bugs all over the place. That’s all things that can be managed with patches and content updates in the future, but that should not be the standard for a release version. If DICE and EA would have delayed Battlefield 2042 maybe for six months, they could have made a masterpiece. Now it’s another blow in the buggy reputation of the franchise.- PC Games

Jurassic World: Evolution 2 brings some cool new features and content to the table that elevates it over its predecessor. The story campaign is a bit short and lacks in a compelling narrative and challenge. But the Chaos Theory missions make more than up for that. The increased complexity and depth in a lot of game systems are exactly what the game needed. And in the end the game draws a lot from the unbowed fascination for dinosaurs.- PC Games

If you're into open worlds and extreme sports, Riders Republic is great. At least for about twenty hours. The world is gigantic and because of the intuitive controls the different sports are all fun to play. But Riders Republic falls into the same trap as its predecessor Steep, when it promises endless fun, but after a while there is no content anymore, if you are not willing to grind and play the same events over and over again. Besides there are technical issues with the Mass Races. It is always a gamble, if the race works or you get kicked out of the session.- PC Games

Call of Duty: Vanguard brings the franchise back to the roots. Not only because of the world war 2 setting, also because of the slower gameplay in comparison with a lot of other games of the franchise. The short, action-packed campaign is fun to play and the story of the historic inspired main characters is captivating. The multiplayer has a good balance, a neat pacing and offers with sixteen 6vs6 maps a good change. The Zombies mode is unfortunately the big weakness of Vanguard. It’s fun to play, but still missing a lot of content like the story and the popular Easter eggs.- PC Games

Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! is a really smart horror game in disguise. The visual novel plays with your expectations, your knowledge of video games and the standards of the genre. Every player who loves well written stories should give the game a chance, although it starts really slow and you have to click through a lot of very boring dialogue before it really begins. But don’t have any expectations for the additional content in the Plus! version. The prequel chapters are pretty dull and add nothing interesting to the main story.- PC Games

Age of Empires 4 is clearly not a bad RTS. Considering the constant drought in the genre, the game is probably the best that could have happened for fans at the moment. However we wish the developers would have shown more courage. In the end the game is too similar to Age of Empires 2, it goes the safety route, not risking to do something wrong. And all of that without ever reaching the same atmosphere or charm that made the second entry so great. It is hard to think of reasons why a player who still has a lot of fun with the Definitive Edition of Age 2 should switch to this game. But whoever gets drawn by the small improvements like the new wall system or the gameplay differences between the civilizations can look forward to a great RTS package with many hours of fun.- PC Games

The three Crysis games still look great on modern PCs and are a lot fun, which raises the question if we really needed these remasters in the first place. The first Crysis Remastered is somewhat of a mixed bag, in some regards better, in others subpar to the amazing PC original. Crysis 2 however looks noticably crisper with some nice visual touches like raytraced reflections, sharper textures and improved lighting. The third remaster received less attention in comparison, up to a point where one might ask if a simple patch would have sufficed. Which brings us to the consoles, because this is where the three remasters really shine: No matter on which plattform you play, the console versions are greatly improved with smoother framerates and sharper image quality that outshines the original Xbox 360 and PS3 releases in every possible way.- PC Games

It's not a problem that House of Ashes tells a different story than the one I imagined. But a good story to replace it would have been nice. In the end, however, I was left dissatisfied, and the technical flaws are not even taken into account, they are added. With Man of Medan and Little Hope, I found it easier to forgive these stumbling blocks as the plot grabbed me more.- PC Games

As someone who wasn't too familiar with either the anime or the manga for Demon Slayer, I had a lot of fun with this game. I will probably even watch the anime now to see what happens next. One might think that the game had done its job. But does it offer enough to entice newbies who aren't playing it for a test to pay full price instead of just watching the anime? I do not think so. If you are a fan of Demon Slayer and fighting games, you will love this game. But if you are looking for an introduction to the world of Demon Slayer like me, you should at least wait for a discount.- PC Games

Super Monkey Ball has what fans expect from it: cute monkeys rolling around in plastic balls. It’s suitable for beginners as well as for more experienced players. You can also play online against players all over the world. Overall, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania plays it safe and satisfies fans of the series by doing so.- PC Games

Medieval Dynasty feels unfinished in many ways. Yes, it looks amazing and does a great job bringing the middle ages to life. The negatives overshadow the positives, however. The story is missing synchronization and traveling the vast distances between villages is exhausting because of missing fast travel points. There are many more things that really frustrated us. If you are not in for the interesting setting, there’s really not that much here to have fun with.- PC Games

In Sound Mind is a solid horror game brought down by massive problems. It never runs smoothly and the controls are imprecise. The worst part during our time with the game was when we had to circumvent a game-breaking bug by triggering another bug on purpose.- PC Games

Hot Wheels Unleashed could have been such a great game, but wasted his potential. Basically, it’s a fun arcade racer with an interesting setting which it barely uses in interesting ways. Also, the multiplayer is broken. Nevertheless, despite its flaws, Hot Wheels Unleashed is a fun racing game. Just don’t expect anything extraordinary.- PC Games
