You'll find many anomaly horror games whether you're browsing the Steam, PlayStation, or Xbox store, and you'll realize quickly enough that a lot of them are very similar and don't really have anything unique about them. Play The Attic 18th and after the first 10 minutes you'll see just why it's so different from the rest in the sub-genre, unique mechanics, an interesting short story, and a tense experience makes it outshine the rest.

Don’t Stop, GirlyPop! is a game with zero interest in being subtle. It’s fast, flashy, and fully committed to its aesthetic and mechanical identity. When it works, it delivers moments of pure kinetic joy, those rare stretches where your brain shuts off and your hands just know what to do. It won’t convert everyone. But if you love movement shooters, experimental vibes, or games that dare to be loud and weird and joyful, this one’s absolutely worth your time.

I’d love to write more about V-Hunter Puzzler DX but the game itself is very short and outside of an additional ‘hard’ mode that gives you a timer to make each of your moves, the game itself is somewhat simple. Not to say that its bad or anything, to my mind, the things V-Hunter is looking to achieve, it does perfectly, I only wish that there were more things in the game.

Overall, both Dragon Quest games are a blast to play. The remakes give both a visual upgrade with more characters and brilliant soundtracks. Both games have beautiful open worlds, while offering challenging fights. The first Dragon Quest is hindered a bit by not having a party system but is still fun to play. Both games also stumble in the story department but the exploration, combat and open world are too good to ignore. If you want to check out these classics, the remakes are the best way to do it right now.

Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & The White Guardian truly is the definition of a mixed bag. An uneven story led by two vastly differing protagonists fails to deliver a memorable tale and outstays its welcome for far too long. Bad visuals affect the delivery of the narrative but thankfully a strong combat system helps keep this title afloat. The beautiful art style and gorgeous soundtrack save this game from being a true disappointment. Far too many repurposed assets from the previous mobile game make an appearance, making this game feel like an update rather than a brand new title. Hopefully this storied franchise can weather the storm!

All in all, Fashion Police Squad is a fairly humorous parody of internet and video game culture, wrapped up in an entertaining boomer shooter package. It confidently showcases smart game design knowledge with its sharp controls and engaging gameplay, but falters slightly in its lacklustre level layouts. Visually, the game is absolutely gorgeous, and the OST is chock full of upbeat and dance worthy tracks. Chains of Freedom is a solid action RPG. The elements are there and, in some cases, executed pretty well. The elements that fall flat do just that, they don’t bring down Chains of Freedom into the area of being a “bad game.” The story and combat do well enough to keep you going and in, some cases, feel a very real sense of achievement. Front Mission 2: Remake is an old-school turn-based experience that is a little rough around the edges. However, I loved the weaponry and the new core mechanics. It is a shame, though, that the target system undermines the tactical nuance of the gameplay.

How much you enjoy the Ghostrunner’s ‘Project_Hel’ will likely depend on how much you are craving extra content, as the DLC is not only shorter – taking me 5 hours to complete – but is also inferior to the main game in all aspects. While I did appreciate the ability to experience a world-expanding chapter with good characters and decent bosses, I also found Hel’s abilities less fulfilling to wield, to the point where I wouldn’t even be able to recommend this over the free extra content released prior to this DLC (modes ‘Wave Mode’ and ‘Kill Run’).

Voxile is a fun adventure title that looks spectacular. Voxel games rarely look this good! Furthermore, I loved the creativity and the quests. Unfortunately, it requires some tweaking to maximise its potential.

Barbie Horse Trails is a wonderfully safe and vibrant child-friendly affair. It uses a large open world and simple tasks to encourage children to explore. Moreover, it is easy to play and simple to master. Though it isn't great for older children or adults, it is ideal if you have Barbie-loving children.

Trophy has been fun to play and try to beat even with a few issues I came upon. I would love to see a few changes occur, but the game is totally relatable to a classic 8-bit style game, transporting me back to the 1980s. I honestly can say that how the game is designed, may feel slightly like a beta game, but I guess that can totally add to the challenge effect and why it’s considered homebrewed. So there are indeed plenty of obstacles that will keep the player trying to figure out how to move forward.

What's more, the atmospheric audio and fantastic environments make for a wonderful and fulfilling experience.

Shatter Remastered Deluxe is a fun and addictive relook at a classic arcade title. With excellent visuals and amazing sound, this retains its classic gameplay but mixes it with a modern edge. Alongside this, I loved the 5 modes and the excellent cooperative action. Sadly, much of the gameplay was too simple as the stages used familiar assets throughout.

Grapple Dog is a fun and familiar platforming experience. With colourful graphics, interesting stage design, and cute characters, you'll love the whimsy style. Furthermore, there is plenty of additional content and loads of collectables, and it is tougher than it first appears. Disappointingly, though, the audio is repetitive and I experienced issues with my save data.

Tormented Souls 2 does a good job emulating the survival horror greats that came before, ensuring that younger players are able to experience the older style of gameplay even as bigger brands continue in other directions. It certainly has a learning curve for newcomers, but those who persevere will discover why the genre was so popular during the 90s and 2000s.

Its old-school graphics, enhanced by modern technology, offer a charming and visually rich experience. While not without its flaws, the level design is generally excellent, and the gameplay is nothing short of exhilarating. Now I can't let all of the bugs & glitches I come across completely change my opinion of Winter Survival, though I'm certainly not letting them slide. It's no doubt graphically one of the best survival games I've played, pair that with the big and appealing open world, along with the challenging aspect to it then you've got yourself a solid sandbox game full of hungry animals which will sniff you out rather quickly, note to self, make sure to always have some kind of weapon equipped instead of always running away...
