Feb 7, 2022First person puzzlers aren’t rare, but Summertime Madness is a great effort from DP Games to add to the growing entries in the genre. Outside of one incredibly sharp difficulty spike I enjoyed my time with it a lot. If you’re in for an evening or two of abstract puzzling then this gets a recommendation for sure, just have a walkthrough ready for that last section so as to not completely undermine the good experience up until that point.

Jan 29, 2022Summertime Madness is a wonderful surreal puzzle adventure title. You must solve many problems as you venture through a selection of bizarre and beautiful paintings. Flip switches, stop cogs, explore never-ending stairs, and more. Will you escape before the time runs out and the Devil traps you?

Jan 28, 2022Summertime Madness is like a young artist, basking in his talent and quickly getting tired of his own brilliant insights, letting them fade away, while trying to set the tone with hermetic and indecipherable claims. Although there is a certain amount of brilliance under the surface, it is clouded beneath a layer of confusion. But of course not everyone gets to create The Witness at their first try, so if you are in withdrawal from puzzle games, Summertime Madness should be a partial relief.

Jan 18, 2022Summertime Madness is a beauty, there’s no doubting that. It bewitches you with sunkissed moments and some surrealist cutaway moments, like a whale that swims past you at the summit of a lighthouse. But these are garlands on a forgettable little game, one that gets lost in its own mazes and can’t find a way of generating feeling, fun or meaning. One for only the fiercest Myst fans.

Mar 7, 2022The base of a good game is there but it was ruined by the puzzles that were poorly delivered. I really liked the premise of the game, just not the execution.
