Nov 13, 2025In the end, Reus 2 comes out on top. Despite its shortcomings as a console port, particularly the lack of ideal adaptation for traditional controls, it's a solid strategy and management game. Given its difficulty level, learning curve, and audiovisual elements, I consider it a good entry point to the genre if you haven't tried it before or don't want to get bogged down in a sea of menus, options, and on-screen information. The simplistic yet effective style, combined with the hours of fun it provides and its creative possibilities, makes it an interesting option for passing the time, exercising your mind, and, why not, relaxing for a while.

Nov 17, 2025The big takeaway for Reus 2 is this: don’t give up on it in the beginning. It might feel overwhelming at first, what with the sheer number of options and the short, hands-off tutorial. But it is so worth carrying on, because this is a gentle and amazing god sim game.

Nov 21, 2025Reus 2 is a rare gem; a god-game that encourages creativity and patience instead of chaos and destruction. It’s a strategy title that rewards thoughtfulness, experimentation, and curiosity. Abbey Games clearly learned from the first outing and refined it into something both deeper and more approachable. The Xbox version looks great, runs smooth, the only real wrinkle is the controls feel clumsy with a controller. Hopefully we can see a patch or two that will address this, but even with that issue players on Xbox will find more to love than hate with Reus 2.

Dec 1, 2025Reus 2 is a fun god-like city builder where your giants rule the roost. Although it is a little grindy, it is enjoyable controlling every human and massive beast. If you've played the original, this will be familiar. However, if you are new to the franchise, some trial and error is needed.
