Difficult to revolutionize a beast that is already running at full speed. On the tracks traced by its last two successful seasons, Football Manager 2021 is still as intense and complete to be the drug of budding sports directors. Celestial in its construction, more aesthetic in its in-game interface, the title is a bit more exuberant through the addition of interactions. 3D modeling is still the point with Football Manager's big room for improvement, and we hope that Sports Interactive will quickly pass this new milestone to mark its time even more.- Jeuxvideo.com

Successful bet for our little pink ball! This transition to 3D is a great success and gives more depth to this Nintendo universe, usually further back than the giants of the firm (Mario, Zelda and other Pokémon). Between well-thought-out novelties and emblematic elements, Kirby has undeniably found the right formula and gives us an excellent surprise. Everything is simple, of course, but it works and it is difficult to let go of the console. So yes, the world is less open than we thought, yes you will find few real challenges there, but we quickly forget that once the game is launched. A little breath of fresh air that feels good and is an excellent gateway into the world of Kirby.- Jeuxvideo.com

A Plague Tale: Requiem is the game of confirmation. That of a sister's faith in her little brother when the world crumbles at the foot of their defeat. Then, that of the great talent of Asobo Studios. Offering richer gameplay without upsetting the formula, this sequel never forgets the essentials in relation to the genre it targets. Amicia's desperate fight is at least as magnificent as the graphics and soundtrack that drive the work. The infiltration mechanics can challenge, and we would have liked a final finishing coat, but none of the defects encountered tarnish our judgment: with Requiem, the Bordeaux studio delivers a great vintage. Dark red as death.- Jeuxvideo.com

In the end, Death Stranding Director's Cut does exactly what is expected of it: bringing to PC all the qualities of the PS5 version (which was already an ultimate edition of Hideo Kojima's masterpiece) but with the flexibility specific to its platform. We therefore find support for 2K and 4K resolutions, ultrawide screens, a framerate of up to 240 fps and support for DLSS. Small - and only - difference compared to the PC edition of two years ago: Intel's Xe Super Sampling can now be used. Enough to make this Director's Cut PC an even more versatile title than in the past, which is an excellent point. A choice setting to enjoy Hideo Kojima's masterpiece in the best conditions, with all the additions of this improved version: new tools for deliveries, new activities and missions. An ultimate port for a game that marked its time.- Jeuxvideo.com

Two years later, Death Stranding remains a masterpiece. Undoubtedly always so divisive, the last born of Kojima Productions offers a unique gaming experience, transfigured by the capacities of a PlayStation 5 allowing him to give everything he has in the belly, to the point of pouring into bulimia new unpublished content. Admittedly, not all are equal, but the experience offered by this Director's Cut is complete, can potentially suit more player profiles, can potentially appeal to those who had succumbed to this fantastic and exotic journey on PS4 and who will appreciate to (re) live new adventures with a Norman Reedus larger than life. Certainly a must have for anyone who owns a PS5 and wants to embark on a unique game that is landmark and still upsets us today.- Jeuxvideo.com

More than a very good Zelda-like, Tunic is a great puzzle-adventure game that will delight fans of exploration and secrets. Because the game of Andrew Shouldice and his friends contains a lot. Very much. Starting with those hidden off the beaten path, thanks to beautiful colorful isometric 3D. But especially those hidden in a paper manual directly integrated into the game. A brilliant idea that serves as a map, a history manual as well as a collection of clues, and which is at the heart of the progression. Tunic knows how to regularly surprise the player with things present from the beginning - a passage, a game mechanic - but which are revealed hours later. Without forgetting the demanding and solid action phases, which contain significant moments. Fights that can also be made very simple, thanks to accessibility options. What to focus above all on the secrets of Tunic, which we took a monster foot to solve. Because that's where the real wealth of the game is hidden. A big crush.- Jeuxvideo.com

Fluid, well-paced, easy to handle and with multiple settings to adapt to all ways of playing, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown sets the bar high. Relying on the best references of the genre at the risk of not letting its personal touch twirl, the app ticks all the boxes of a very good action adventure platformer. Ubisoft has created a Metroidvania that meets the specifications, clean, without major burrs, but also without a little something that makes it as unique as a legendary gem. If you like the genre, go for it.- Jeuxvideo.com

The Game Kitchen manages to do very well by combining video games and Andalusian folklore. They once again demonstrate their mastery of metroidvania with Blasphemous 2 by further pushing the formula of the first episode: three weapons directly integrated into the gameplay, an atmosphere that is still just as gloomy and combat that is gratifying and far from insoluble. Anno 117 Pax Romana is superb, well-balanced, and rich in options. While the campaign is rather disappointing, its management mechanics are well-oiled, and building beautiful, balanced cities is a pleasure. But once the comfortable routine of a functional city is established, interest wanes due to a real pacing problem. Salvation comes from the ability to manage both provinces simultaneously, which greatly revives interest. If you enjoy building slowly, deliberating, and admiring your Roman cities, you'll be in your element. Others are likely to give up before achieving Roman glory.- Jeuxvideo.com

Even though we find the same graphic style and some familiar areas, we feel a slight lack of artistic risk-taking, a somewhat recycled bestiary and menus that haven't changed one iota. On the gameplay side, class balancing still needs adjustments and world events like raids, rare terrains or cataclysms remain too rare to permanently break the routine. The communication system boils down to a ping that isn't always precise, and attempting the adventure solo borders on a feat, given the high difficulty and the need for a cohesive team. However, the game manages to create a strong addiction: even when a run turns into a disaster, we want to try our luck again to take advantage of our character's progression curve and the pride of defeating a boss. Nightreign won't appeal to all players, its severity and small flaws may frustrate more than a few, but it brings a breath of fresh air to the studio. It's a good start, we'll say.- Jeuxvideo.com

With this Forza Motorsport 2023 edition, Turn 10 resets the counters and delivers a car racing game with a titanium chassis capable of carrying the license for several years. Beautiful, fluid, offering very good "simcade" driving sensations, it offers the right modes with the necessary parameters to satisfy almost everyone. Both ultra permissive (in its challenge) and restrictive (in the improvements to be unlocked), this reboot is a bit of a search. Aiming at a very wide audience thanks to its numerous options, it is nonetheless dedicated to fans of pretty cars, those who are able to go beyond its definitively austere appearance (and the absence of urban circuits) to let themselves be captivated by the joys of motorized competition, both solo and online. How can we continue to keep a legendary video game series that has just celebrated its 30th anniversary alive? NetherRealm has decided. The apprentice sorcerers led by Ed Boon reanimate the beast and opt for a nice reboot taking care of its accessibility strategy, adding a big touch of RPG (Invasions) and deepening its gameplay with a feature previously unpublished in the series (Kaméos). Two Point Campus makes an almost perfect copy by renewing the management game genre. Its amazing two-phase game system allows you to combine the best of both worlds: a game where you can build without stress and with ease, and a game where you can observe with pleasure the result of your work. If the phase of the school year turns out to be more idle than the summer holidays, it allows you to appreciate the excellent work on the atmosphere, the animations and the personalization of your campus. Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is the guarantee of discovering an original game wrapped in a particularly stylish universe. We like the idea of integrating traditional dances into a world of Japanese folklore which mixes with very elegant choreography and a particularly pleasant bestiary to discover. With its endearing characters and effective humor, Guardians of the Galaxy is one of the pleasant surprises of the end of the year, which is obviously aimed at a very large audience. Behind this careful writing, we feel a deep love on the part of the developers of Eidos Montreal for its marginalized space. And if the adventure is not as epic as we hoped, the journey is nonetheless pleasant with its moments of complicity and the many choices offered which reinforce the player's involvement. A truly attractive journey, in particular thanks to an efficient and fluid combat system which nevertheless shows its limits at the end of the game and against the bosses. Finally, it is more on its visual part that the title can divide. If we find on the one hand original environments and neat character models, we also note the presence of less convincing facial animations in places and sometimes less fine landscapes. Shredder's Revenge was expected at the turn and it never disappoints. A love letter to the beat'em up (understand action game against several opponents) of the 16-bit generation (Super Nintendo, Mega Drive...), it pays homage to Turtles in Time by relying on a gameplay of exception and a simply masterful achievement. Beautiful, colorful, well animated and accompanied by catchy music, the title of Tribute Games multiplies the nods to the franchise and will delight all those who despaired of rediscovering the sensations of yesteryear. Yes, some aspects of the game are classic, but the adventure is so exhilarating and dynamic that we want more! Unquestionably the best Ninja Turtles game since Turtles in Time. Fans will be thrilled.- Jeuxvideo.com

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake manages to bring together the best of both worlds: the charm and freedom of old-school games with the comfort and fluidity of modern titles. This starts from a visual point of view with a more successful HD-2D style than ever that looks like an achievement for Team Asano. Controller in hand, the adventure benefits from so many comfort options that it becomes more fluid than ever and modular to satisfy all audiences. Thanks to all this, we find with great pleasure the feeling of freedom typical of Famicom games with gameplay that shines as much by its simplicity as by the combinations offered. And if we can criticize it for the structure of its dungeons, some less beautiful environments and its technique on Switch, Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake still succeeds in its bet to bring back to taste a timeless classic in the best possible conditions.- Jeuxvideo.com

Magic the Gathering: Arena is a good free-to-play game, with enough content to feed any Magic lovers. It’s not as easy to play than many others trading cars games, but on the other hand, those games don’t have the same depth.- Jeuxvideo.com

Tales of Arise brilliantly succeeds in breathing new life into the Tales Of saga. With its universe and its successful characters, the title delivers a striking adventure that takes advantage of superb environments thanks to a unique graphic rendering. The fights are not left out either since they show great intensity with always more spectacle, sometimes even if it means confusing the action. If we can blame it for his clipping, its talkative side, or its redundant bestiary, we still salute its many qualities which suggest good for the future of the series.- Jeuxvideo.com

Even if Tails of Iron has some flaws, starting with its back and forth and its combat system that lacks evolution, the title is simply charming. Helped by its panoply of charismatic characters, its sumptuous visuals and its successful fights requiring precision and coordination, the creation of Odd Bug Studio offers a magnificent journey that we can only recommend ... at least, if the difficulty does not suit you. Don't be afraid.- Jeuxvideo.com

Against all expectations, Fuga: Melodies of Steel is much darker than its visuals might suggest and justifies its PEGI 16 rating with a difficult, uncompromising story driven by deep and varied game mechanics. Despite the flagrant nature of its technical and budgetary restrictions, CyberConnect2's tactical RPG does well and manages to embark on its experience by making us forget almost all of its shortcomings, moreover few in number. However, there remains a redundancy of actions to be carried out with difficulty compensated by the introduction of new elements, but nothing that is not able to put off fans of tactical role-playing games with a good depth, in search of an accessible title which will know punctually resist them.- Jeuxvideo.com

Beautiful, lively, exhilarating and surprising, it drips with passion and magic and is a real pleasure to browse. But that's not all ! With its very good ideas, its world just waiting to be explored, its art direction to die for and its combat system as addictive as it is magical, it is quite simply an excellent action and adventure game. More accomplished than its predecessor from whom it shamelessly steals its structure, Resident Evil Village is a complete experience filling with quiet strength all the necessary boxes for the success of an action-oriented first-person survival horror. Although it draws its inspiration from the depths of the Spanish oblivion belonging to the fourth installment, the title of Capcom manages to perform well thanks to its atmosphere tinged with original fantasy for the saga. The unforgivable absence of virtual reality and the presence of a feeling of "already played", however, prevent him from claiming the title of eminent village chief. Not enough to initiate a parochial dispute, however: this new Resident Evil is a success.- Jeuxvideo.com

Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred is a good expansion for Diablo 4. It doesn't revolutionize the original game like Reaper of Souls did in its time with Diablo 3, but it does bring some solid additions. The main storyline is still driven by an exceptional atmosphere in which you feel immersed. The new class works wonders in terms of customization and is the best way to play dynamic and nervous gameplay. In addition, the underworld of Kurast is a new way to gain power interactively. In short, Vessel of Hatred takes advantage of the additions made in season 4 to offer even more satisfying gameplay than before. The expansion is the perfect excuse to come back to the game for those who abandoned it upon its release or simply those who put it aside at the time. However, it may be too light for veterans who may be expecting more in terms of new features and customization. More than just a place to call home, Sanctuary now has the feel of an unmissable amusement park with Vessel of Hatred.- Jeuxvideo.com

With Reimagined, forget the laborious epic of the original Dragon Quest VII on PS1. More beautiful than ever with its unique aesthetic, the game offers a much more enjoyable, condensed adventure thanks to its numerous accessibility and difficulty options. In this customizable experience, combat gains depth through the richness of dual vocations, allowing for combinations that are as improbable as they are powerful. However, in addition to some flaws from the original game that are still present, this modernized version sometimes pushes the accessibility features too far, making the adventure too easy at times. But make no mistake: Dragon Quest VII Reimagined elevates a great RPG to new heights and will be a landmark title in the category of ambitious remakes.- Jeuxvideo.com

Twelve years after its release, Bravely Default returns to accompany the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 in a version that enhances the qualities of the original game. With this graphical overhaul, we enjoy more than ever the original style of this adventure, especially on a portable device, and the few comfort additions make the experience more enjoyable. While the title still shines with its combat and music, certain aspects remain in their original state, such as its overly classic story or its incessant notifications. This remaster nevertheless remains the best way to discover this seminal and ideal game while waiting for the announcement of the next project from the Asano team.- Jeuxvideo.com

In the slew of independent video games that exist, we sometimes stumble upon pure wonders. Since the budget established cannot compete with the big productions, the developers had to redouble their efforts to reach us and stand out from the crowd. Whether it's quirky gameplay, beautiful writing, or singular art direction, the emotional impact has to be strong to catch the limelight, and that's what Spiritfarer does. The game of adventure and management shows finesse and generosity. Making death the very principle of the game, wrapped in a cartoon style and while maintaining tenderness and benevolence, was a daring bet. Mission accomplished!- Jeuxvideo.com

Life is Strange: True Colors is an experience that can be appreciated in the sweetness of its journey, sublimated by shimmering colors, animations more accomplished than ever and very beautiful melodies. With this episode, Deck Nine Games chose to explore empathy from top to bottom; a preponderant aspect in the powers granted, the narration and the construction of the characters. The whole provides a very neat adventure on a human level, but which undeniably lacks a certain liveliness in its actions and the unfolding of the plot. The result is an investigation that lacks a certain panache.- Jeuxvideo.com

The beginning of a dynasty? The Samoan Bloodline has ruled the WWE for over half a century: Dwayne Johnson, Roman Reigns' Fatu and Anoa'i families can attest. With The Island and an interesting open world, WWE 2K25 aims to revive its family tree. It's a milestone, but with significant room for improvement for this ambitious mode. Despite its richness, the latter lacks a map, shaky matchmaking, and a near-essential need for VC (virtual currency) to be competitive online. It's a first step toward the heights already reached in terms of lifespan: the game modes and customization options are still gargantuan enough to impress newcomers. A good omen for the future of the violent saga.- Jeuxvideo.com

Dynasty Warriors Origins manages to make us forget the mistakes of the ninth episode to bring the saga into a new era under the sign of modernity. Thanks to rich and nervous gameplay, the fights have never been so satisfying against one or several enemies and benefit from a great variety using the eight types of weapons. The battles are also more spectacular and epic than ever against ever more numerous and lively armies. However, this does not prevent the experience from suffering from readability problems in the heart of the action. Outside of the fights, the title shines with its friendly RPG aspect and its linear way of presenting the history of the Three Kingdoms to make it more accessible. And even if we are entitled to replayability and an interesting post-game, the absence of a free mode remains a lack, especially for veterans. Despite this pitfall, Dynasty Warriors Origins has given us a great view and augurs a bright future for the franchise which has been able to bounce back.- Jeuxvideo.com

Momodora: Moonlit Farewell surprised me. With an artistic direction very different from the genre's references, I expected a less controlled experience. Mea culpa since Momodora certainly offers a title far from the norm but without a false note. It offers well-paced exploration, gameplay that is far from revolutionary but effective and all wrapped in an attractive artistic direction. Momodora: Moonlit Farewell shows that you don't have to have excessive ambitions to be a good game.- Jeuxvideo.com
