Tiny Bookshop is a warm story about growth driven by community. For a moment, we are actually able to believe in the existence of an alternative reality, in which quality and expertise are the path not to success, but to a peaceful life. In which a tiny boat-shaped bookshop drifts peacefully across the ocean of profitability, undisturbed by Amazon's container ships.

Assassin's Creed: Chronicles - India is a product that's better than China. The developers are experimenting with their game and as a result Arbaaz's adventures are more interesting that Shao Jun's story. It's not as good as the almost perfect Mark of the Ninja but you can clearly see a step in the right direction. If you liked the previous game you'll be happy with the new Chronicles.

The Zombie mode is especially good, but the infamous Blackout mode doesn't quite deliver. All in all, CoD holds up pretty well, but it's easy to find numerous pitfalls.

Great expectations for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided made it look a bit worse than Human Revolution (even though the new DX is a really good game). Aftermath is so much more than a mediocre new gameplay mode. Every one of the four new locations is of high quality - there's something for the lovers of infantry battles, as well a map that should please fans of Teheran Highway. The newest add-on doesn't introduce any revolutionary changes, but sums up the game's evolution well by offering an immersive single player campaign as well as a great multiplayer mode. I wish that the developers' creation becomes popular enough so that they can create a more complex sequel without looking at a budget. It could have some sort of a multiplayer mode - the game is lacking an opportunity to have a two player battle: one makes the turrets, the other tries to get through. But aside from that Anomaly is a very well made single player experience.

Grim Dawn is a game that fulfills promises made by the developers and is one of the best entries in the hack'n'slash genre. The game is to be expanded and updated in the future: if dawn is so exciting, what will happen at dusk? Watch_Dogs has a very obvious storyline and some minor issues, but as a game it offered me lots of satisfaction and finishing it was a real pleasure (there was no boredom, and I can't say that about all Ubisoft's sandbox games). Halo Infinite is a successful Microsoft experiment. You will not experience a gram of revolution here - it's just a safe evolution with respect to the source material, but all in all: why change something that works? The open world is rather an addition for those who are interested - it does not spoil what has always been the best in Halo, i.e. the epic story and dynamic action. Even the graphics that would not knock you down and on PS4, not to mention the new generation, screams straight: Infinite is an old school game. And in fact, it is such a gate that takes us back into the ancient times - which can be seen as both an advantage and a disadvantage.

Beyond: Two Souls is a difficult game to grade - you have to answer a question: do you mind having the gameplay play a supporting role? Because an interesting story, great characters and some really exciting moments are most important here. Beyond is a typical Quantic Dream game and it additionally simplifies many aspects. I had fun experiencing this story, but Heavy Rain is a better and more interesting game.

The Bureau is a good game. I like the fact that it forces teamwork, has a great atmosphere and solid graphics. The aliens tend to attack with various and difficult to kill forces from the beginning - that's good as well. Unfortunately later on the magic kind of disappears - the story becomes silly, fights get easier and the interface irritates more and more. But taking all things into consideration, The Bureau is a solid, well made game. A cool appetizer to all the big games arriving this fall.

A strategy game full of absorbing gameplay and a one of a kind dictatorship atmosphere. It's a pity that fans of the previous game could feel a little disappointed with a small amout of gameplay changes - sure, the whole campaign has been written from scratch but adding only a few new buildings, factions and challenges seems not enough. On the other hand, the developers managed to keep the original mechanics and used some well known patterns in a good way.

Dead Island already divided reviewers into two camps. One thinks it's a mediocre, unfinished game, while others see it as a well-produced game - not perfect but deserving your attention because of the amount of work put into it and a few sparks of genius. We tend to prefer the latter camp - you won't feel cheated after buying a ticket to Banoi.

Gathering Storm comes with some minor drawbacks, but I can easily recommend it to fans of Civilization VI. Bear in mind, though, that the new additions and tweaks in the mechanics may require some getting used to. Furthermore, the roster of civilizations hasn't been better in a very long time.

Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD is considerably better than some cheap remakes that offer only higher screen resolutions. The developers have put a lot of work into their game and skillfully adjusted it to fit with PCs and big consoles (although there are some issues). Is the "small" Assassin's Creed worth your time? Yes - for this price it's a really decent game, even though the story and music are really weak.

Layers of Fear 2 is a "sightseeing horror walking simulator" that focuses on different things than games like What Remains of Edith Finch. This majestic, atmospheric game offers players a unique and bold experience, but the best features can be seen in single scenes than in the entire title.

LEGO The Hobbit is a well-made game that doesn't break any new ground. Interesting story, atmosphere of the movie and a large world coexist with old gameplay solutions and well known issues. Middle-earth made of bricks has great potential, but the developers apparently don't want to take advantage of it all (yet). Fans of the series and Tolkien worshipers will definitely have fun for many hours, but they won't be amazed.

Paradoxically, where South of Midnight decides to use original ideas and boldly jumps into the deep end, it swims with grace and charm, while where it is afraid to abandon the lifeline of genre cliché, it simply stays afloat. If we were to distill the outstanding things from this item, we would get an excellent concept album with an accompanying animated film. It's a pity, because if the game designers had dared to go a bit crazy, it could have been a really great game, but it is simply good; a really interesting, refreshing interlude for two or three evenings, after which you will probably be left with another item on your playlist and a little more knowledge about a corner of the States that we don't usually see. And an awakened, but still unsatisfied appetite for folklore from other parts of the world.

FIFA 23 shows that EA still knows how to make a good football game that should please the fans. It may not be a perfect goodbye to the series - gameplay has its issues and the game's strong "TikTok vibe" can worry a bit, but there's no denying that it definitely is a good game.

Workers & Resources is a terrific builder. Very complicated, quite ugly, with a cluttered UI and an extremely complex network of mechanics and connections, that looks like something from a fever dream. But it drags you in and offers lots of satisfaction when something finally goes right.

If you're a more casual gamer, a high difficulty level and lots of repetitiveness will most likely discourage you from playing Rainbow Six: Extraction. But fans of R6: Siege and demanding tactical shooters should check out this game. It has potential, and I'm curious how Ubisoft will deal with it.

Fans of previous Sherlock Holmes games could feel a bit disappointed with some simplifications and dividing the new game info 6 separate cases. Fortunately it doesn't affect the gameplay that much, although it seems as if the developers tried to do too many things at once. All in all the most important conclusion is this: Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments has a lot to offer to wannabe detectives and they definitely should give it a chance.

Do I regret spending 70 hours playing New World? Absolutely not, but I hoped for something better, especially in terms of endgame. New World is a great MMO and a poor RPG. The developers need to keep working and improving their game, and I heartily hope the will, because there's considerable potential here.

Eugen Systems studio finally listened to the fans, let go of the World War II and created what is probably the definitive form of its vision of a tactical game about a conventional world war III. Will this be enough to keep the title of leader in its niche? Time will tell, after the success of Wargame there is no shortage of imitators, and WARNO is taking no risks to surprise with something new.

In case you haven't played the fifth or sixth installment, forget about the new game and pursue the older ones - they're cheaper and offer a very similar experience.

I have a love-hate relationship with Rainbow Six: Siege. The game has some policemen shooting at each other and the famous Rainbow team is nowhere to be seen. There's no storyline (except one short but great mission) and the terrorists appear only during training. It's weird but still every dynamic encounter with the enemy provides tons of fun and satisfaction.

The world, the story and the urge to explore are superb. Unfortunately, some technical issues and a controversial saving system can taint the overall impression.

Civilization VI has gained a rich expansion with numerous, very sensible changes. Gameplay mechanics are more complex; there are new civilizations, a loyalty system, dark and golden ages - there is no point in going back to the core game. If only this add-on cost a bit less.

However, I think that if you're just starting out with Monster Hunter, World will be a great introduction, and by the time you finish it, Capcom will probably have sorted out most of Wilds' technical issues, and maybe even dropped the price a bit from the launch version.

A brilliantly directed interactive film awaits you, with an engaging and often surprising plot, a galaxy of expressive characters whose fates you will sincerely care about, and excellent audiovisual setting. If you like to explore and “max out”, you will also find a lot of side content to discover here (I estimate the whole thing at a minimum of 15-20 hours of play). Just don’t expect mind-stimulating puzzles, difficult moral choices, “brain-scraping” or a reunion with Chloe, and everything will be fine.
