Just Cause 4 is a really engrossing game that makes you want to goof around. The amount of new toys will decide about the longevity of this game - players can unlock A LOT of them during their progress with the main storyline. Unfortunately, it also means that gamers have to complete a dozen of repetitive tasks. Despite that, it's still worth it.

My interest in the new Ghost Recon game was strong until the very end. But I have to emphasize: this is a game for very patient shooter lovers who don't mind doing the same thing over and over again. Ubisoft took the "rinse and repeat" formula to heart, but it was a deliberate move. Wildlands is made for cooperation; solo gamers will be bored.

The LEGO Movie Videogame is a really decent game that will charm only the most hardcore fans of Danish bricks. The mechanics are well-known, there's lots of things to do and find, but you'll find almost no novelties - if you've given up on the series, you won't come back. If you simply can't get enough of LEGOs, then buy it. But watch the movie first - you'll avoid spoilers.

Project CARS 2 is like a trip to the most beautiful place that becomes more and more tiring. There is no prettier game, and driving along well known circuits with engine noise as background music is great. But all the essence - driving physics, overtaking, dealing with car trouble - is much better in F1 2017. I'm waiting for fixes.

Ubisoft did a much better job with Syndicate than with the PC version of Unity. The promise to keep a closer eye on quality control of future Assassin's Creed games has been mostly kept. Still, Syndicate on PC could benefit from additional code optimization. If you don't own a console and enjoy this universe you should be happy with this version.

Hard West deserves attention despite some flaws. It is not a western version of XCOM, there aren't many similarities to Might & Magic: Heroes. It is its own game with an interesting idea that suffers from technical issues and a bland ending. The game itself is far from presenting the story in a cinematic way - if you don't have a problem with that, you'll be pleased.

Sims Medieval is different from the previous installment and won't satisfy all fans. What we've got is a fairly complicated and surprisingly demanding game, which sometimes bores you with its peculiar gameplay mechanic but more often simply entertains thanks to its easygoing attitude and a wide variety of possibilities.

Mirror's Edge Catalyst is a good game. Nothing less, nothing more. Trying to find innovation and enriching the basic formula from the previous game by introducing an open world did not do much good. The best parts of the game are when we're completing linear, scripted missions. Exploring the city becomes monotonous after a few hours. In other words - it should be a better game but fans of Assassin's Creed will be pleased.

Dawnguard is a well made, quite long expansion that doesn't live up to all our expectations. It's import ant, because this DLC costs 1600 MSP, which converts to a fairly big amount of money. Car Mechanic Simulator 2015 isn't an expensive DLC for the previous game. It's a big, standalone product with lots of interesting changes that diversify the gameplay and eliminate the feeling of being shown what to do at specific times. We get many new parts and cars, and a sensible experience system smoothly introduces the player to new things. And even if there's still some boredom here and there, the sequel looks just fine.

Warriors of the North is a good game that provides many hours of fun, but at the same time leaves a lot to be desired. The developers show too little creativity when it comes to putting interesting new things in their games. Even Warrior Princess offered more in that department: flying, a rebuilt skill system, new locations. This game takes too much from its predecessors and offers not enough new things. King's Bounty would benefit from a revolution - a sequel built from the ground up.

Diablo 2 Resurrected is a beautiful journey down memory lane. It's a game that brings out memories and joy and, sometimes, rage (it can be brutally unforgiving). There are moments, when Marvel's Avengers shines really brightly. About a year from now, the game will certainly be less Thor: The Dark World and more Thor: Ragnarok, hopefully shining at all times. The developers need to polish the interface, fix some technical issues and add some more "stuff." Until then, we get a product that's more than satisfying.

Gears of War: Judgment is an attempt to freshen up the series, but without messing with core gameplay. Declassified missions are a cool little thing, but a very superficial one - it's meant to persuade you to complete the campaign one more time. And the campaign seems a little out of ideas and has a mediocre story that teases a big bang at the end, that turns out to be a small firecracker. Still - there's an additional, fun mission and an excellent multiplayer mode. Judgment is worth buying, but not necessarily right now.

It's time for a revolution. Need for Speed: Heat is definitely the best game in the current-gen series, but that's nothing to brag about. This actually should have been the first NFS for the 8th generation of consoles - then, perhaps, we would still have remembered it as something special. But at this point, the game basically just goes through the motions. Not great, not terrible.

The official launch of War Thunder reminded me why I like this game so much. It's adorably chaotic - in contrast to the reliably designed World of Tanks. On one hand w have an impression that every dialogue counts and we're always deep inside the main quest (even though we're doing something else). A really unique game - the developers have changed the concept multiple times and the final product differs from the basic idea. The most obvious thing is that the RPG layer is smaller and less important, than the dominant strategic one. FIFA 20 introduces a hefty amount of novelties and pretty much all of them are successful - especially the Volta can give tons of fun. Unfortunately - the biggest flaws that have existed in the series for years are still here - painfully schematic gameplay doesn't promote creativity, and the artificial intelligence doesn't deserve the name. These elements render each FIFA a much less compelling experience.

Gone Home is an interesting experiment, that didn't move me as much, as the developers probably wanted it to. The way of telling the story and the quality of the script seem a bit simplistic and tend to look at the gamer from a high position. Still, I think Gone Home is a step in a right direction and I really like these kinds of experiences. If only the developers had put more work into polishing the game - perhaps next time?

If I were to treat Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition as a completely new game I'd be really happy, and the final rating would be pretty high. But when looking at Full Clip Edition as a remaster without taking the game's quality into view, it looks like a classic money grab with one redeeming feature - no more Games for Windows. So the final rating should be placed somewhere between these two opinions.

Despite many unfortunate decisions and rusty technology, CorePlay's game is a good return of the Jagged Alliance series. Going real-time hasn't dimished the tactical aspect, and team development and better equipment provide fun equal to what the best RPGs can give you.

Call of Duty: Ghosts has a weak campaign and a good multiplayer. It's not the best game in the series and is definitely not a next generation game. Activision has missed the opportunity to painlessly move the franchise to the next level. Call of Duty will be a shadow of its grandeur, as long as it hangs on to old technology and a boring "future war" setting, and as long as the developers lack the guts to take risks, as they once did with Modern Warfare.

The Sims Social is a mix of The Sims and games like CityVille. If you have some friends on Facebook who like social games and don't yell "it's for chicks!" when hearing the game's title - you can spend some quality time building your home and developing virtual relations with other Sims.

Gran Turismo 7 on PlayStation 5 is really a great racing game - simply, because there is no competition. However, when looking at it from the racing genre's perspective, it lacks novelty and seems like a game which should have been released 5 years ago.

The Farming Simulator series is a true, if somewhat baffling, phenomenon. I guess the only other game that receives equally huge vote of confidence from the players would be Star Citizen. The developers are currently doing less than the modders. Farming Simulator 19 is great if you're new to the series. If not - think twice before you buy.

Arachnid Studios' game reminds me of the first Gothic - it's incredibly buggy but intrigues you with its setting and atmosphere. If you can forgive some of its serious issues, Diluvion should win you over. It's a pity, though, that this underwater exploration too often looks like a typical crowdfunded indie game and not a true gem.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations is a game that continues the series' tradition, but makes a slight turn. Instead of a rich story mode with the possibility to visit all the locations, we got a limited game that is more difficult to get into.

Ubisoft didn't have a great, epic online game and unfortunately still doesn't. The Division is extremely pretty and generates lots of fun. I will keep playing, but I can't shake the feeling that key aspects of the gameplay showcase the developers' lack of experience. The grade you see should be fair for groups cooperating and playing together. Solo players won't have that much fun.

Ni No Kuni is a game that conjures mixed emotions. Sometimes I got bored of chasing monsters, got tired of the fighting system that is hard to control, got irritated by some characters that like to repeat their dialogue over and over again, and I got saddened by plot twists - they were too obvious and stripped of symbolism that is present in Ghibli's movies. Despite that I wanted to play more, because almost every time something good happened at the exactly right moment, something that restored my faith in this universe. Ni No Kuni can surprise you till the end, but all in all - I wish it was something more.

Despite some issues (jamming MMO into the gameplay, uneven campaign, some technical issues) I had fun for most of the time. It's mostly due to evolution and upgrades from all the seasons, but Vessel of Hatred introduces a solid amount of good stuff. Still, it will not cure all Diablo 4's ailments - you have to wait for updates and fixes.

LEGO Batman 3 recycles well known things and adds more characters and unlockables. Every year it seems that following this trend finally will stop bringing money, but every year it turns out that LEGO fans are strong and happy. The third LEGO Batman is a really decent game but the grade would be higher if only the developers would create a better story and a more interesting world with more novelties.

The time I spent playing Stronghold: Warlords was more than enjoyable. The series did not become instantly better nor revolutionized anything, but the developers have finally prepared a game that doesn't need any apologies. Warlords is not the prettiest, but it runs really well.

Endzone is a polished title that has no bugs or any technical issues. It is an interesting game for fans of city builders looking for a new challenge (and a high difficulty level). Unfortunately, after building a complete settlement, the gameplay became pointless because of irritating (and ultimately boring) micro-management.

Another example of Nintendo giving the players a game that seems interesting on the outside but is kind of empty inside. Mario Strikers has some updates planned, but I really hope that the big N understands one day that a full price should mean a complete game. Still, I won't lie - Mario Strikers provides lots of fun, because its core gameplay is good.

Armored Kill add-on doesn't change the basics of Battlefield 3 in such a way, that we'd want it to. Quality of new maps is uneven, and there are no massive vehicle based battles (even though the title can suggest it). There is some disappointment spread around this DLC - most importantly the new Tank Superiority game mode is not as interesting as one might think. But all in all, fans of Battlefield 3 should consider buying this expansion - for them it'll be worth it.

MGS3: Snake Eater is one of the best games I have ever had the pleasure of playing. The remake, although it could have been done better, will also allow you to taste some of its genius. This release is beautiful in some parts, but it suffers most from the inconsistency resulting from the fact that, despite its beautiful presentation, it is inherently rooted in the PS2 era and runs poorly on UE5.

Right now Farming Simulator 17 is the best game for virtual farming rookies. It's simply a good game with a surprisingly good technical side (for this genre, of course) and a quite diverse gameplay. Unfortunately - veterans of the series won't find anything new. Farming Simulator is in the same place it was 2 years ago. It only works better.

Despite a fair amount of issues (mainly technical), Deadfall Adventures turned out to be very pleasant. The campaign is varied and interesting and I enjoyed these few nights spent with James Lee Quatermain. Deadfall is a pretty good and playable game that would benefit strongly from a little more testing and rethinking of some things.

I really wanted my favorite beat'em up series to reclaim the throne. Unfortunately, right now Tekken 7 hasn't got enough content and polish to do so (plus the competition - Injustice 2 - is fierce!). The fighting system is still superb but the entire game looks outdated. The story mode is poor, the online modes are now a a joke and there are some things missing as compared to the previous games.

Lots of things in Battlefield 2042 does not work the way it's supposed to. There's a lot of issues, and that's to be expected, unfortunately. Still, the foundations are solid, and if everything worked well, the final grade would be higher. After a few months of fixes, the game will work better. However, even now, I'm having tons of fun.

A straightforward evaluation of Maxis' newest creation is very difficult. On one hand we get an absorbing, futuristic hack'n'slash (a rare thing!) with fun cooperation and a variety of heroes. On the other hand it's not a great game - a weak storyline, poor PvP and some minor setbacks don't let me grade Darkspore especially high.
