This $10 standalone game is far longer than most $60 games, and I still have the New Game Plus mode to try and unlock the rest of Shao Jun’s abilities.

The first Chronicles entry isn’t perfect, but it’s a good starting point.

A decent change of pace for the franchise. The goals are more focused and deliver some great stealth gameplay across the approximately five hours it takes to complete. With all the open world distractions stripped away I felt like I was playing a proper assassin-based title, with the only focus being to take out the target.

This has not become the game people were hoping for. The choice to make it a 2.5D sidescroller is a good one, as many of the issues with 3D-games are now a force behind this one. In a way ACC: China is a very entertaining platform game, but the voice-overs are odd and the game asks a lot of patience of you.

It’s not a must-have game, even for Assassin’s Creed fans, but I had more fun with it than with Rogue. [06/2015, p.54]

That is kind of the way Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China feels like in general — it starts out okay, but soon becomes dull fairly quickly thanks to a lackluster plot and uninspired gameplay.

Hard but not too hard. I'd liked more parts of story in this game. The graphics are suitable for this type of game and used in an interesting way.

Pero cada uno tiene una historia cautivadora, al igual que los demás AC; al ser 2.5D, mucho de lo que vimos en anteriores entregas cambia, pero sigue manteniendo ese aire que hizo popular a la saga.

    Muy bueno

But it would've been better if the game was more great and the development time fixed.

However, it's still great by its nature. Similar battle system and gameplay gets you back on the road in no time. Although, the AI is somewhat annoying and the story is bleak.

I've been a loyal assassin's creed fan for quit some time. Have played almost every game. Still seeing an evolution in the aspects of eachI've been a loyal assassin's creed fan for quit some time. Have played almost every game. Still seeing an evolution in the aspects of each game. When I bought the season pass for this game I had such high hopes for china chronicles. But that hope is crushed now. Unity already disapointed me with it's story even though the coop gameplay and graphics were impressive. But this game literally feels like it was made passionless without the spirit or felling of a real ac game. It isn't the concept of the side scroller. To me that looked like a fresh idea with a new way of percpective. It is the concept that forces you to play one way or you die. Combat sucks so you probably want to rely on stealth. No way that you get the chance to do something creative. Get off the path and you're death. Fighting or assassinating people should be a joy in this game but it actually got tedious. Even unity i enjoyed even though the gameplay was similar to 1 and 2 but it was still wel excecuted and there was still room for different approaches even more than the old ones. But this game has so many restrictions and so many stupid concepts that I sometimes just facepalmed myself during the game. And the story? No deep story, no real character development, the people that you kill you don't really care about and you have no idea what kind of vengeance drives the character .Story is dreadful and not up to part with the previous ones. It isn't completely torture but it sure isn't the game that the ac fans deserve. Ubisoft don't **** it up with Ac victory. And the other 2 side scrollers you're going to give? If they are the same as this one i'm really going to pissed off. Don't buy this game. You will be dissapointed if you are an ac fan . Want to try out ac? buy the old ones for the pc or try black flag for ps4. Maybe a little bit more expensive but you will get a far better experience. Because this ain't worth it. I'm watching you ubisoft. Please don't **** this up!!!!!!

Btw, normally i don't do any reviews because i'm actually a casual gamer. But as an ac fan who has been loyal to this franchise for a long time and watched it's progress. I think i've gain the right to judge this game. Ubisoft needs to change things with ac and needs to put more effort in it. Even in these smaller side scrollers. It doesn't matter if it looks amazing ( and it does) if the gameplay is tedious and story is dreadfull there certainly has gone something wrong. And i'm saying again. Dont **** this up Ubisoft!! Please treat my beloved franchise with the care it deserves. Not only graphics but also the exerperience should improve.
