A dazzling tech-noir showcase of cutting edge writing, extraordinarily satisfying gameplay and an unrivaled, uncompromising vision of the bleak future we’re inevitably spiraling into. William Gibson would have been proud.

A far more colorful game than Human Revolution, even though the futuristic version of Europe is quite different from the dystopian depiction of Detroit anno 2027.

Mankind Divided rewards exploration and respects your choices throughout its hefty campaign. The city of Prague is absolutely amazing with great details and visuals. The gameplay is also exactly what you expect from a Deus Ex game.

The game mechanics all work remarkably well, from hacking (despite it being a little repetitive after going through the same process dozens of times) to the cover system, to the various forms of combat, resulting in a game that has a poignant narrative whilst still being enjoyable to play.

Gameplay is what truly makes Mankind Divided shine, and here, any problems with the racial story is made up by having a complex and immersive world with level design purposely built around the idea of Deus Ex‘s choice gameplay.

Video game narratives can be great, but nothing will surpass the stories we create in collaboration with a game – emergent, unscripted moments that pop up unplanned and create lasting impressions, and that’s where Mankind Divided excels.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided could – and should – have been amazing. All the ingredients were there: an intriguing premise, engaging and mature narrative themes, solid gameplay foundations and a beautiful look. However, the rushed plot, nonsensical conclusion, under-developed characters and continued shortcomings in combat mean this is a title which fails to live up to its potential.

The music along with the new selection matrix and the setting. my god, I don't care that the story was dummed down. it makes for a more concise narrative that doesn't get to big for it's own britches.

Even Jensen's Voice Actor is doing a better job in this game than he did in Human Revolution. He actually shows a little bit of range in his line delivery which is nice for our traumatized and war weary protagonist.

They didn't impact my game experience in the slightest and if people want to blow their hard earned money on in game items to get ahead in singleplayer then let them. The game's story was a bit short, and low stakes, but what made me love this game was the minute to minute gameplay. It is very smooth and much improved from Human Revolution, and really captures the empowering feeling of being a augmented super soldier. The graphics are amazing, with everything maxed out it is one of the best looking games I have ever played on my PC (if you ignore the facial animations and lip syncing). The Breach (not multiplayer but I guess just additional?) mode was interesting at first and gave me another dozen or so good game hours. Expand

I have played ever Deus Ex since the first, which is one of my favorite all time games. With Mankind Divided, I never felt super gripped by the primary story, and was more interested in the side stories, which were all relatively interesting. I went through with an almost entirely stealthy approach, very rarely killing anyone, and the fact that I could choose that path was pretty cool. The game was fun, and the stealth was pretty good, but I never felt like I was getting more powerful as the game progressed. There are only a couple stealth tools, and I had them all pretty much fully upgraded within the first couple levels, leaving nothing else to look forward to for the remainder of the game. Maybe if I had gone in with a more combat oriented approach I would have had more fun. Overall, I would recommend this game, but I just don't feel it compares to others in the series. Expand

The PC is a SHAME FOR THIS STUDIO, the graphics are cool and better than human revolution though.

The main problem is : 20hourrs compared to the 40s of Human revolution then DLC day 1 ? Metacritic how the hell this game could obtain 83 ??

The whole deus ex universe is there but it should be sold half the price because it's ot a full game but half of the story. again, Shame on that studio

How could any studio allow this piece of crap to be released? It cannot run at max settings on hardware that is top tier even 7 years after it's original release date. The map/nav is horiffic. Guides you completely to the wrong location and is utterly confusing. Even the give me a story (Easy) difficulty has you dying within 2 hits of any weapon. Utterly a complete piece of trash and fails to achieve any of the good marks from other games in the series. Expand
