Nioh 2, despite being quite derivative, full of repetitive missions, and lacking true challenges later in the game, remains a riveting experience. This prequel looks like a mirrored image of the first game, but with some pretty ingenious level design, exciting enemies, and hugely satisfying combat and character creation systems, this game really hits home.

Thinking about DLC's would be less annoying if all add-ons had the quality of Old World Blues. It's a well-produced original story filled with humor and excellent dialogue. Darksiders II is a great follow-up aimed mainly at the fans of the first game. Fortunately it can easily appeal to players unfamiliar with War's adventures, players simply looking for a good slasher. The game offers lots of fun, making the player not only show off his/her skills in fighting and jumping, but in logical thinking as well. The game's quality suffers a tiny bit because of its graphics and lack of a really "big" ending. But remember - these small flaws are not enough to discourage anyone. Darksiders II is a great investment that will keep you glued to the screen for a long time.

Well known and loved Worms had to wait a while for a game that is as good as old 2D installments of the series. Worms WMD proves that extreme modifications aren't necessary - the key is to give fans what they want: more worms, more destruction and classic physics. That plus some cool little new things turn this Worms game into a real gem.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a successful remake of the original title(s), which is similar to the case of Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy. The developers have done a great job by refreshing the graphics and tweaking some gameplay mechanics. Also, modern controls have been implemented. All these aspects make this game pack a joyful experience.

Mortal Kombat for PlayStation Vita is a game worth your attention, especially if you haven't had the opportunity to check out last year's "big" MK and you miss the original installments. It's a great reboot - well made, reminiscent of the golden age, has lots of fantastic warriors and some unique bonuses.

Bulletstorm is a very creative, visionary, spectacular and uplifting game and its didactical values can't be overrated. Only a polish game will help you broaden your vocabulary with new idioms, will take you to one of the most beautiful tourist resorts in the history of gaming and will introduce you to new friends that you can discuss principal concepts of Nietzche's philosophy with.

Bethesda delivered a surprisingly complete game that should appeal to many different people. All these well-known gameplay solutions done in the space made me want more, and I definitely will beat Starfield one more time. And then one more.

If you've been avoiding FIFA for a long time, this edition is a great opportunity to change that and play some matches on virtual stadiums. If you're a regular, on the other hand, you're probably playing as we speak, but this time, you're probably fully satisfied. Right?

With this expansion Arkane Studios matched the quality level of the regular installments of the Dishonored series (and that really is something!). All fans of Dishonored 1 & 2 simply have to experience Death of the Outsider. Everyone else should do the same but only after finishing the previous games. It's worth it.

In case of too many new games - break glass. Inside you will find Black Myth: Wukong. A great proposition among numerous game debuts of upcoming fall. It really is original, and stunning to look at, even though it's not perfect.

The best part of Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle is its gameplay design. Exploring various worlds is pleasant and thanks to smart location of gold coins you can't get lost. The combat is simple but there are new mechanisms and character introduced every now and then so it doesn't become boring. My encounter with Mario and the Rabbids lasted for more than a dozen of hours and it was really fun.

Titanfall isn't perfect from the technical side, but it definitely is from the gameplay and fun sides. Respawn Entertainment have created something much more than just "Call of Duty with mechs". The basis seems very similar, but on top of it there's a game that steps above and beyond well-known standards and gives much more satisfaction (even while noticing all the minor issues). I hope, that Titanfall will stay in the FPS major league for a long time to com.

After more than 70 hours spent with Total War: Warhammer I can confidently say that it is one of the best strategies of the year (and the year isn't over yet). Creative Assembly has used its experience and applied well known solutions but there's a ton of new stuff that freshen up the Total War brand in a very good way.

It's true, that the Japanese can understand terms "learning curve" or "friendly user interface" differently. But who cares? After Dragon's Dogma it will be difficult for me to return to simple QTE or "click on enemy" gameplay. It's one of the best adventures on the current generation of consoles and a truly unique game, that tries to redefine and open-world action RPG.

Flying Wild Hog's new game has some stuff that could have been done better but the amount of good things is simply overwhelming. Shadow Warrior 2 embodies visceral combat, RPG elements, pretty graphics and humor. This is a worthy entry to the "really cool shooter" category and can boldly stand right next to Doom. Hopefully we'll get Shadow Warrior 3 sooner than later.

Outlast is terrifying, brutal and crazy. The story is clever enough to assemble all themes into a complete picture and tie it with some historical facts, but the most important thing is this: Outlast is really scary. Honestly, no game before has made me feel such strong emotions. Outlast is a must buy for all fans of scary stories. Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs is a fairy tale in comparison.

I enjoyed Pragmata very much. Its unique and satisfying combat system, solid execution of the other gameplay elements, and likeable main characters all combine to make this another hit from Capcom. It’s just a shame that the boss battles are rather disappointing.

Elden Ring: Nightreign does not seek a widespread audience - and that's a really good thing. FromSoftware doesn't make compromises. Instead of doing “more of the same,” it has opted for a design that is completely new, system-dense and ruthlessly honest. Does it have flaws? Of course; excessively long boss fights can be frustrating. Still, Nightreign demands, but it also rewards. And it does so without half measures.

PlanetSide 2 allows you to take part in a fully fledged war and write the history of the planet yourself - it's no scripted spectacle. Who wouldn't want to be a part of a small unit that has to stop an assault of a much bigger army while waiting for reinforcements? Remember - all of that happens in confrontation with a live, intelligent player. PlanetSide 2 works great for hardcore FPS fans, and for those players who simply want to shoot from time to time. The most important thing: the game is free (micro transactions are far from being problematic) and everyone should try it.

SOMA is one of the most complex, balanced and well-designed independent horror games out there. The creators of Amnesia have crafted a game that will satisfy fans of the genre and should bring in some new players. 12 hours spent in the underwater facility PATHOS-II were great and I wish I could relive it in someone else's skin.
