It's a dream game for Dragon Ball die-hards, a great new way to test your skills for fighting game nuts and an all-around great experience for everyone else in between. The story and arcade modes present plenty of challenge and things to keep you occupied, and the roster is large enough to make no two battles feel the same. And, refreshingly, the online modes appeal to not just those who have immersed themselves in online battles for years, but newcomers and even just the mildly interested as well. At present time, the PS4 version looks to be the one to get due to a few issues with the Xbox One's online capabilities, but both versions perform even better than you might have hoped. For a game with nearly a full year of hype behind it, Dragon Ball FighterZ delivers in ways that will exceed even the most lofty of expectations. This is a fighting game for the ages.

While there have been many fighting games based on the Dragon Ball franchise, Dragon Ball FighterZ marks a modern approach through the means of fast-paced action. From its breathtaking visuals to ease of gameplay mastery, the new fighter is a good stepping stone to expand the fan base of the genre. However, it may not satisfy players who are looking for complexity.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is one of the best Fighting games that holds an Anime License. The package brings us great visuals, fun gameplay and a rich content making it one of the most memorable experiences in this genre.

Successfully bridging the gap between the casual and hardcore crowds, Dragon Ball FighterZ is an excellent, gorgeous fighter that can draw you in, whether you're a fan of the franchise or not.

If you’re looking for a fighter, there is simply nothing better on the market than Dragon Ball FighterZ in terms of what it offers as a 2D, high action brawler.

A brilliant fighting game for newcomers, and a wonderful one for genre fans, that somehow still manages to feel like a disappointment for so comprehensively failing to bring its two demographics together. [Apr 2018, p.112]

I feel like I made King of Fighters into a 3D game.
It's the most dragon-ball-like feeling of all the Dragon-ball games!
One thing I regret is that it would have been better if I had followed the story as it was in the original cartoon.

When I heard there was going to be a new Dragon Ball Z game, at first my reaction was "aww geez, not another one". But when I heard that it was a fighting game made by Arc System Works, my reaction to the trailer was "Holy s***, this looks awesome!". I don't usually do good with fighting games, but thanks to ArcSys; anyone can play it. I haven't had this much fun with online play since, well ever. Controls feel smooth, the art style looks so much like the show you'd almost believe it was a new season, and the entire V/O cast is there-both English and Japanese! TENouttaTEN! Expand

This is why we play games in the first place. There have been decent DB games before this, but nothing close to FighterZ. The animation, combined with artistic graphics really set it apart from other games and it also beautifully complements the gameplay. It's so brisk, and is one of the greatest technical achievements in the genre and can't be avoided Expand

Probably one of the best, if not THE best, 2D fighting game of the decade, at least in the DBZ universe. It´s dynamic, fast paced, fun and challenging. The only downside is that most of the characters by now are paid, and in comparison to the full roster, the vanilla one feels kinda empty, but you can pick the remaining characters at steam sales for a very low price. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH, BUY THIS GAME, YOU WON´T REGRET IT. Expand

Expand

Bandai Namco has made this game for the fighting game fans, not "casual" players that only play the story mode or wants various single-playerBandai Namco has made this game for the fighting game fans, not "casual" players that only play the story mode or wants various single-player content, but simply for those who wants to play against each other by playing online or offline in a 3v3 tag system similar to the Vs franchise by Capcom.

That being said, the presentation of the game is by far the best aspect of the game, the graphics are extremely similar to the original material, meaning if you take a screenshot of the game, and put side by side by the anime, sometimes you couldn't tell the difference. The music of the game is also very good, not perfect or amazing, but well done.

The roster of the game is a bit disappointing, give there's only 24 characters in the base roster (which is few, given is a 3x3 game), but not only that, but there's many characters that feels the same, and very few of them feels unique (Android 21, Hit, Beerus), in addition to that there is some slots that could be utilized better (i'm looking at you Goku Blue, Goku SSJ and Goku Black).

Now to the gameplay aspect of the game, as mentioned it's similar to those familiar with games like Marvel vs Capcom, Guilty Gear and Blazblue, given the fact it was developed by Arc System Works, the same company that developed the last two games prior mentioned, meaning that mechanics like air dash, double jump, flashy supers and combos. And there's exactly where the game also starts to be a letdown, since it doesn't offer many defensive tools like Guilty Gear or Blazblue has, resulting in almost every character dealing blockstring situations, where if you opponent knows how to play, you won't press a button for like 10 seconds or more if you don't want to be "combo'd", there a pushblock mechanic, put it really doesn't work well like the games that has it like Marvel vs Capcom 3 or Under Night, where if you used well you could revert the situation. And the result of that is a game focused on pure offensive side, which is bad for competitive players.

The top 2 worse aspects of the game are the lack of a proper menu, since when you start the game you're put into a online lobby where you move around your character and select the options scrambled across the game that represents the menu options. And the major problem of this game as of the moment is a lack of functional online, since you get disconnect many times, you can't proper play in a lobby if your friends without some inconveniences, and sometimes you get get disconnected for no reason when you're playing a match, and the list goes on.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is a good game, but it fails to deliver in some aspects like online play, lack of character variety and weak story mode, that compromises a game with excellent presentation and a solid gameplay (given a few flaws).

Per non parlare poi dei tasti ma che CAZZO di gioco
    Picchiaduro utilizza questi tasti .
L'unico punto forte è la storia che non ti puoi godere al massimo per colpa dei problemi elencati prima .
