Realms of Ruin is certainly not a bad game. With its engaging story campaign and map editor, it nods to the giants of the RTS genre. Gameplay-wise, it leans towards a simplified version of Company of Heroes, with decent graphics and everything generally working as intended. Its main shortcoming is the lack of originality and any unique, fresh ideas, which may lead to a sense of monotony during extended play.

An aesthetically tuned, independent project that introduced interesting game mechanics, like making animal friends through sounds of varying strength, but then, for some reason, didn´t use them fully. The game is very cute, but the initial enthusiasm eventually fades away, leaving you with a memory of a sometimes too empty world.

At its core, an enjoyable game that trips over itself with peculiar technical solutions. It looks great, and the sound is perhaps even more impressive, but the experience is hindered by the unenjoyable hero and weapon upgrades and a lack of synergy among them. Despite the flaws, it remains an entertaining title that you can enjoy if you overlook its shortcomings.

Killing Floor 3 turned out to be a better game than I expected. If mindlessly mowing down zombies is your thing and you enjoy watching limbs fly through the air, there’s really not much to think about. On top of that, you get a fun layer of weapon customization and class upgrades. Just don’t expect anything more – and be ready for a fair share of compromises along the way to its action.

An epinepfrine injection for twenty bucks is going to teach you how to drive sideways, and how to fit as many lights on your hood as you have bulbs in your flat. A rushed addition to the rushed Forza is a great fun, but with its compromises. Maybe, just maybe we would be talked into giving it eight, if there were twice as many cars.

Unfinished Business plays it safe, delivering a solid dose of bloody action, gritty one-liners, and stylish destruction. The main storyline impresses with its atmosphere and presentation, while fans will appreciate the new weapons, enemies, and the nostalgic return of Peter Weller. Unfortunately, the side content feels like unnecessary filler that breaks the pacing and undermines Robo's authority and impact. For die-hard fans, it's a welcome expansion, for everyone else, a slightly above-average action snack.

Even though Where the Water Tastes Like Wine lacks in gaming mechanics, it definitely can tell a story. Imagine a long evening, crackling fire, and a slow, but unstoppable burst of beautiful words, and then ask yourself if you are willing to suffer occasional frustration for that. If so, do not hesitate and head to America.

A successful old-school action game that tests your reflexes and internal compass. Graven pays homage to inventive shooters from the 90s and delights every fan of the genre. Moreover, it captivates with a well-crafted atmosphere and soundtrack. It's just a shame that the action component is not better tuned and less frustrating.

Dead Take isn’t a perfect horror game, but it’s a solid interactive drama full of ideas, atmosphere, and – most importantly – great acting. If you’re looking to experience a short, cinematically styled psychological thriller with a touch of experimental flair and escape-room gameplay mechanics, this is definitely the right place to be.

Despite of its bad balancing and badly-arranged gameplay Pandora: First Contact is manna from heaven for gamers longing for Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri 4X's successor. However, this sci-fi strategy game lacks in balancing along with user's comfort to be truly excellent.

A beautiful open world full of fun activities, well-made cooperation with a variety of companions, absolute freedom in how you purge a crazy cult... Far Cry 5 is an excellent, though slightly repetitive, game, until it is backstabbed by a stupid script in combination with unusually annoying bugs.

This is another PS4 exclusive that’s well worth the asking price, even though it’s severely limited by the aging hardware. But that ceases to matter when you experience the perfectly crafted gameplay without a shade of motion sickness.

The return of Max Caulfield and the atmospheric university setting will certainly appeal to series fans, though it falls short in offering greater freedom of choice and impactful decisions. While the story maintains suspense until the end, it doesn’t quite escape the shadow of the original, and the final choices leave a lingering sense of missed potential.

It does not pay off to judge Bree the piggy according to your first impressions. You see, you'll start enjoying this minute steak from the pig meat not before you choke it down. However, beware, it has some separated meat in it.

Decent expansion to the classic RPG, which -in addition to the inevitable technical limitations- suffers mainly due to the uneven quality of the script. All in all, it is a very good excuse to once again venture into the world of Faerûn.

Unsurprisingly, to fully appreciate it, The Expanse: A Telltale Series requires you to be a fan of both Telltale Games' narrative-driven format and The Expanse series or books. It faithfully captures the essence that drew to the original, even though gameplay innovations are scarce.

Spectacular and grandiosely created journey reached its center with several scriptwriter mistakes. When patched it will proceed directly in the gaming Valhalla. However, it is standing outside the gates for now.

Veilguard delivers a solid sequel filled with epic story moments and a fascinating world, yet it doesn't quite reach the heights of its predecessors. While the character writing feels weaker, battles can be repetitive, and the beginning is somewhat unsteady, the game still offers much for devoted series fans. However, it lacks that spark needed to fully restore BioWare’s former glory.

An interesting tactical strategy game with features of an RPG is addressed mainly to game veterans. It's regrettable the game has several combat system issues along with stereotype that's taking up after an end of the third chapter. Still, Blackguards is an excellent game piece you should not miss.

Stargate: Timekeepers is a solid clone of Commandos, falling just short of standing among the genre's top tier. There's also a missed potential in the story, which despite the effort feels more like mediocre glue holding missions together. However, there's still hope that the developers will improve in the second half of the story, which is yet to be released. It's simply a fun addition to its genre, though it might be easily forgotten afterward.

Addictive MMORPG with a classic core, whose main attraction is a great and entertaining fight together with a number of well-functioning systems. Only some particular technical problems and boring quests prevent the gem to achieve the greater score.

Gas Station Simulator has its flaws and in the end just isn’t deep enough to keep you interested for long. But if you like your simulators, you’ll get your 10 hours of fun out of it.

War Hospital is, in a "good" sense, a rather unpleasant experience. It's a solidly designed tycoon game that, instead of focusing on construction, centers around the management of human and material resources. However, you don't have enough of either, time is pressing, patients are bleeding in front of the hospital, doctors are collapsing in the operating room, and you face a series of morally extremely uncomfortable decisions. It's decent, but is it still fun?

Fallout 4 is an open world RPG from Bethesda with everything that goes with it. Emotionally flat, somewhat two-dimensional in characters, story is not very attractive and the game is bugged as any game Bethesda released last few decades. But the game also offers an incredibly rich world, funny gameplay, hilarious gunfights, a gigantic portion of the content, interesting subplots, great replayability and phenomenal music. Revolution does not take place, a road to perfection is still long, but overall the game is good.

The fact that EA Sports FC 26 remains the best football game on the market says more about the state of the competition than about the game itself. Nothing substantial has changed this year: old issues persist, and the systems that worked before still work reasonably well. In the end, it feels less like a triumph and more like a quiet acceptance of whatever the hegemon chooses to serve.

The unique system of hacking and freedom of thought make Else Heart.Break() extremely engaging game, in which the freedom will make you almost clueless. The possibility to program the world to you own image, however, is worth a little awkwardness.

Arcade escapades of the legendary raccoon master thief Sly Cooper can be recommended to the handheld owners, even though you won't find qualities of the previous installments. Still, it is one of the best easy-to-play games on PlayStation Vita, entertaining die-hard fans as well as the newcomers.

A worthy successor to the both Underground games doesn’t reach their quality though. Arcade riding feels fresh and if you are up to an easy fun you have just arrived to your destination.

Monster Hunter Rise brings with it several new features that should become mainstays of the series. At the same time, however, it loses one of its most impressive systems - tracking the monsters. And so the hunt loses much of its magic.

A massive game with a beautiful, engaging, and highly interactive world that is a joy to explore. It impresses with sheer content, compelling puzzles, numerous systems, and dynamic combat. However, weak boss fights, a bland story, uninspired quests, and clunky controls and UI leave noticeable blemishes on the overall experience.

The most extensive installment of the entire game series brings a spectacular adventure filled with land and sea battles. It's great to look at it and the traditional sandbox is just fine' however, this third volume's many very important qualities of the entire game series along with its game system have been lost without the new features making up for it. The less, the better, and look before you leap should have been the proverbs of the day. Assassin's Creed III is undoubtedly a very good game, but I cannot shake off the feeling it could have been much much better.

Nicely done digital version of the board game, which is missing something of the witcher’s perfection. Its storytelling and rich gaming options make it a suitable to kill the time before The Witcher 3 hits the shelves.

Shorter game time, simplified story and a little less emotion - still, A Bird Story is the masterpiece of the narration and the form. But somehow it is something we had already seen in better shape before.

Jotunnslayer is, first and foremost, perhaps the most visually striking Vampire Survivors clone, set against an appealing Nordic backdrop. Unfortunately, the game as a whole lacks the polish it deserves. Individual abilities are so powerful that they rarely demand strategic thought. Still, the title guides players through worlds that differ mechanically and feature engaging boss encounters. Once these worlds are completed, however, the experience loses momentum, as the endless mode barely functions.

This lightweight canapé with a taste of the 80s B action movies aesthetics will keep you busy, laughing.

Convoy had ambitions, that were not fulfilled by its narration nor by the game world elaboration, but the FTL-style gameplay is adapted perfectly.

The game becomes boring after few hours, but if applied properly, it rewards you with a pleasantly nostalgic experience.

Medieval RPG strategy, which is not exactly spotless, but under its spots the efficient and sturdy tactical core is hiding.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 delivers a finely tuned multiplayer and a solid Zombies mode, but is dragged down by one of the weakest campaigns in the history of the series. The evolution of movement, perks, and shared progression is welcome, yet the futuristic setting diminishes the cinematic atmosphere, and the cooperative campaign fails both narratively and in terms of design. The result is a highly uneven entry that excels in PvP but disappoints everywhere else.

An entertaining multiplayer title that can be played online or local with its greatest power when played by two people. However, the game appeals unfinished here and there and when it's played in three or more people, it becomes quite a mess.

The Surge introduces a fresh breeze into the action RPGs by its placing and fresh approach. It is a pity that developers have run out of ideas when they were designing levels.

Futuristic Tokyo is a beautiful and stylish city. It offers great stealth, pleasant freedom and great atmosphere. It’s a pity camera-shuffles sometimes make the shooting unpleasantly difficult.

A solid space strategy that borrows heavily from major 4X turn-based games, Sins of a Solar Empire II makes it clear that its core focus is on action and conquest, with diplomacy and trading taking a backseat. The brilliant idea of simulating real planetary orbits, which dynamically alters the map, adds depth, though it can't entirely hide the unbalanced pacing and lackluster visual style.

Stasis knows exactly what it wants to be - a loving tribute to the classic point-and-click adventures – but despite to its impressive atmosphere the game offers more to genre veterans than to newcomers.

The First Cameroonian game is a Japanese-style action RPG and reveals the exotic culture.

Five new stories, five new protagonists, five new fifteen minutes. All for five euros. 400 Days is an appealing canapé with highly standard storytelling of the original. However, it partially loses its battle because of the title's short length and its lack of inner interconnection.

The PES series has definitely left the grey zone, and with its new face and trained muscles it gets again into a fight to win the football cup. This is going to be a hell of a fight with the well started FIFA series, however, it has to start somewhere.

If you cannot think outside the new game genres, try at least some unusual combination with the current ones. That's the message of the artistic arcade game Contrast. It's a character-driven piece of work where two gaming styles along with their atmospheres unite. However, it's lacking both in richer content and more enjoyable controls to reach excellence.

One half is just a stuffing, the other half is a very successful overture to the final episode. Next time it could be great.

An excellent, but not independent, adventure game extraordinaire. Draws gamers to its high-quality dialogues, replayability and perfect sound design. However, its predictable story along with its user-unfriendliness, that is ignored just by contemporary retro fans, are dragging the game down.

A non-linear story that lets you carve your own path is fantastic, and the striking 1950s Britain aesthetic makes Atomfall a uniquely imaginative take on post-apocalypse. This holds true despite its weak action mechanics and unnecessary survival elements. It’s not a must-play right away, but it would be a shame to skip it entirely.

Interesting and stylish RPG fighter, which surprised with elaborated story and the possibility to alter the story. Only if they sort out a few bugs related to other parts of the game. Hopefully next time.

Ronin is a refreshing platformer in where you utilize both the tactics and your quick hands. Unusual mix of a tensile action with platformer has a bit clumsy controls and some of its game rules are -at least- strange, yet you spend a great time with Ronin.

A meticulously crafted game that offers no surprises, but that doesn't mean it's boring. The world is beautiful, the combat is adequately adrenaline-pumping, and the story is interesting. It's almost a shame that you'll be done with Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn relatively quickly.

Coromon looks like a Game Boy Advance-era Pokémon title but it’s a bit more complicated than that. This is an accomplished JRPG all by itself which borrows a well-loved formula and sprinkles many of its own ideas into the mix. It’s just a shame that some of them don’t really fit.

If you glance at Unit 13, you will see quite a boring game with repetitive missions. If you get more into it and try harder missions, your adrenalin levels will make the game entertaining for a long time. However, this type of game is not for everyone.

Red Solstice may look unattractive and the story is shallow but playability is great and it has the power to entertain also individual even with its focus on cooperative multiplayer.

The quintessential Czech adventure game is back and it’s going relatively strong. Do you like the previous adventures of the goofy, silly sleuth? You’ll enjoy this one as well.

Tormented Souls 2 builds on nostalgia for classic survival horror with tank controls. It succeeds in creating a strong atmosphere despite overwrought dialogue and poorly executed animations in the story cutscenes. It will primarily satisfy fans of B-movie horror, as well as those who once trembled through the early Resident Evil games. Some may even forgive the missteps in combat difficulty tuning, as high-quality puzzles and well-designed levels ultimately reward those who persevere.

If you compare it to the rest competition of the same genre, even this Deponia installment may be considered a gem, offering quite a unique world along with its antihero that is simply adorable. However, unlike the previous installments this one is more daring now a then, and its brain traffic is not for everyone.

Spending time with Iron Brigade is a very relaxing thing - the game will entertain you, even make you laugh. However, as well as the other tower defense games it does have those symptoms without a cure - stereotypical gameplay kicks in very soon. And Co-op gameplay is way too easy.

Weird West is indeed weird - it blends classic western together with the occult and creates a reactive, living world for you to explore and influence. Your actions sometimes indeed do have far-reaching consequences - and other times the system simply breaks. But the action is good if you get used to the cumbersome control scheme.

Party Hard is funny, brutal and controversial. Although impression is flawed by unnecessary mistakes and lack of clarity of some rules, thanks to the creativity of the community this mayhem game can still be recommended.

The original rogue-like card game with unmistakable game mechanics and style, which may start to bore you after a while, but sooner or later you will return to it anyway.

Say goodbye to Yagami, say hello to Kaito. There’s a new main character on the block and he’s going to fight. And explore the past. And solve crime. There’s really nothing new mechanically speaking but the story is very good - and that’s what counts here.

A well-made instalment of the great game trying not to innovate itself, but pleasing its hardcore fans or newcomers nonetheless – by its new campaign with more assignments, an import option and by a several new buildings addition. One is just wondering why there are still some flaws in the game and why the Tropico 4 does not bear a title of an expansion pack?

Troy is not a very good approximation of the actual Trojan War, nor is it pure mythological carnage. But, miraculously, it actually manages to blend real-time battles and long-term strategy into a really exciting cocktail.

Turn-based RPG that uses proven gameplay elements, and relies on humor and addictive gameplay. In the end you don't mind, that it's the same over and over again.

A minimum of innovations will envenom the gamers who know the original. The newcomers will gnash their teeth because the game lacks a meaningful tutorial, with a learning curve that would make even zen master cry. Even though Men of War: Assault Squad 2 is rather difficult, it is an entertaining simulation of war chaos nonetheless.

Great story campaign which is a pleasure to play. The need to strategize is extended on a global map. The missions are variable and cleverly designed, so they are able to tease your wits. It's a pity that the game has several flaws and is too expensive, but fortunately we can expect various discounts in the future.

This is a solid debut for a small studio, despite quite a few reservations that have emerged during my time with the game. If you like the soulslike genre, by all means, try this one out, but I’d recommend waiting for a discount.

The final episode of The Wolf Among Us failed to completely fulfill the high expectations, and it looks half-heartedly even though it gets away with it to some extent. It completes otherwise neat first adventure series that rape gracefully all memories of your fabulous childhood.

Risen 3 is like your favourite chow in a restaurant, where its cook makes the same old magic for fifteen years already. You know very well what to expect, it is becoming somewhat tiresome, even for the cook apparently. But habit is a second nature, you keep on finding it tasty, and the fact is that such role-playing gastronomy is not served anywhere else. In other words, you will not relive such ecstasy as with the Gothic II instalment, however, yes – you will find a solid piece of work here.

The seventh episode is dragged down by all sorts of bugs and flawed 3D visuals, but problems can not overshadow the very successful campaigns - both the story and the gameplay. Heroes VII might be the best game since HoMaM III – but still the king sits firmly on his throne.

Unusual topic, unusual game. Sophisticated yet approachable simulator shows how to fabricate the game mechanics onto the dog races to make them great fun.

A game aimed solely at children and their parents, nothing more and nothing less. A bit of good fun if you’re feeling playful but not nearly as impressive as other Nintendo masterpieces of this era.

Dead State game offers a great experience that combines the struggle for survival, the party and shelter management, entertaining RPG part and a tactical combat. The game grabs and holds you for dozens of hours, so you are willing to forgive it its obsolete visuals. We’d like to see bugs disappear a bit faster though.

A true delight for all of you who enjoy cooking. You’ll get to taste many different recipes along with specific methods of preparing all the various foods. It’s well balanced between a realistic simulation and a fun game. The content is quite monotonous, though, and there are aspects to improve, such as the user interface and the technical quality.

Kromaia is an obscure piece on how it goes (not) and looks (not) in the universe. Action arcade brings a lot of adrenaline fun, but also oddities that some just may not take.

Eternal Strands is undeniably fun, but it struggles to offer anything truly exceptional. Across five acts, you'll climb massive monsters, wield epic magic, and craft stylish gear. However, the story and characters feel like empty filler, and combat against smaller foes serves mostly as a playground for your magical abilities.

Still addictive, still entertaining. The first big set for Hearthstone hit the spot. Against all grim forecasts the massive amount of random cards didn’t hurt the game. Thanks to the GG expansion new game packs are created and the old ones are edited, which makes the game better and better.

Successful interactive drama in the Telltale-games style is exotic with time and place, but not with character motives. Story of the key moment of the Iranian Islamic revolution and the young photographer Reza Schirazi is thematically closer to us than plots of the similar Telltale titles. 1979 Revolution benefits from a great mood, well-written characters and undeniable educational factor, which is not boring at all.

A clever and sound sci-fi story in one adventurous package. It may torture your brain as well as your patience. After an intense opening its tempo is decreased, however, by the time you reach its excellent finale it will increase.

Tchia is an extremely fresh game, bringing a perspective from a very exotic region of the world. It’s beautiful to look at and to listen to and its story is quite well executed. Its systems are a bit dated, though, and there’s not much fun to be had if you’re not into wandering the map and exploring for yourself. The greatest delight is undoubtedly the discovery of a whole new culture of New Caledonia.

Some games are “too old to change”, but sometimes it's just not necessary. Battlezone proves it, it can beat the competition even in its original form with its attractive gameplay and classic look.

Classical horror game remastered to HD addresses mostly those who remember the original so they know what to expect from this title. Years haven’t been kind to the game especially the technical part deserved bit more care – but the RE fans will be satisfied nevertheless, which was the goal Capcom obviously wanted to achieve.

The Order of Giants adds a pinch to the base game’s story without significantly changing its meaning. You’ll explore new corners of Rome, though most of the time you’ll be wandering underground and through interiors. The fact that it can be finished in under four hours and doesn’t really offer anything new is its main drawback. Still, the fresh puzzles and well-made story animations help make up for the short playtime.

Another game focused on simulating a “satisfying” activity. If you need to relax, this game shall be your balm – and if you expect it to be boring, you’d be wrong. It really is fun! Well, for a few hours at least. In the end, it might be better to actually clean your own stuff instead of doing it on a computer.

A solid expansion that introduces a beautiful new region, a new hero, and some welcome changes and intriguing additions. However, the storyline feels hollow, and the amount of fresh content is somewhat lacking given the price. Technically, it’s not entirely flawless either.

Sniper Elite 3 is a great example of a studio that got enlightened by mistakes of its previous game, and thus successfully repairs its reputation. Open and cleverly designed locations full of possibilities will entertain you for hours. Thanks to its improved AI, although still problematic here and there, its stealth approach is a very viable way to missions accomplish, and a feeling of firing is wonderful. For a gamer untouched by the theme, the game will get tarnished its original lustre, yet if you long for some entertaining experiences with a sniper rifle, you should not miss Sniper Elite 3.

Survival experience at its best – that is an episodic adventure, The Long Dark. It could even be a great adventure in RPG style if it improves the storytelling and technology in upcoming episodes or updates.

An honest remaster full of beautiful sceneries and spectacular explosions, but the storytelling and gameplay are stuck in the past. And beware - there really is nothing else to see apart from the campaign.

The Escapists 2 will delight you with new graphics, a multiplayer game including a LAN option and plenty of new exotic dungeons. Unfortunately, due to its high difficulty, somewhat frustrating mechanics and repetitiveness (no change since part one here), only the most skilled players will probably enjoy the game.
