While the country is going through an exceptional health crisis, MLB fans will not see their habits upset by the arrival of this new iteration, almost similar to the previous one. The graphic rendering is a bit more realistic, the sensations still just crazy but with more content.- Gameblog.fr

With its very efficient Ring-Con and a funny RPG game, Ring fit Adventure is a brilliant way to workout without even noticing it. If there is motivation, and a lot of space, you'll be able to do what you want to, at your own pace, with a few smiles. A very pleasant successor to Wii Fit, indeed.- Gameblog.fr

Addressed to both new players and longtime fans, NieR Replicant succeeds in transcending the NieR experience, thanks to its enhanced (yet imperfect) visuals, its full re-recorded soundtrack and voice-acting and its new gameplay mechanics to make it feel more like NieR Automata. For sure, the addition of new scenes, such as the Mermaid episode and an all-new ending, represent a powerful argument to those who are already familiar with the original game.- Gameblog.fr

Unavoidable rendez-vous for the old-school games amateurs, the Xbox Live Arcade offers now a much justified remix of Guardian Heroes, odd mix between 2D brawler and RPG blessed by a iconic music score. Most developers would have failed, but Treasure prooves, 15 years later, that they stroke the right balance between a demanding technical approach and the pure visceral fun of beat'em all gameplay.- Gameblog.fr

Captivating, relaxing, cathartic, Unpacking turns a strenuous exercise in real life into a magnificent experience. Undoing the boxes at each stage of the main character's life provides a nice sense of accomplishment. Not in the layout itself, although it's always rewarding to pull off a Tetris with your possessions, but in understanding where the developers of Witch Beam are taking us and how. Without saying a word, delicately, with devastating attention to detail and a sublime atmosphere, the game tells us a very true story, which we easily cling to. The story of an invisible and mute virtual person whom we are happy to accompany and who, in the end, perhaps knows a lot more than we think about our own life.- Gameblog.fr

Splatoon 2 keeps everything that worked in the first episode to deliver a strong but somehow light sequel. Fortunately, the Salmon Run mode seems new enough to bring back the fun, as this cooperative option took us by surprise. Observer System Redux is an absolute must-have, whether you played the original game or not. If you're keen on Cyberpunk and horror, you'll find here exactly what you want: a beautiful game, with a stunning universe and fantastic dialogues and storytelling. With Final Fantasy XIV : A Realm Reborn, Yoshida and his team have won their bet, and offer a radically different game than Final Fantasy XIV Online. The game has some very interesting systems, starting with the evolution of your characters and Jobs. Moreover, it is a very accessible game that you can enjoy easily and quickly. A great alternative to games like World of Warcraft, with a Japanese feel that should delight the fans of the series. Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is not a remake and a simple remaster. You’ll find everything exactly as it was in 2006 but with better graphics. Even if it’s still fun to kill hundreds of zombies, the gameplay, the controls, the structure and some technical aspects are painfully outdated. The game has truly aged badly and could have benefited from a deeper work by taking some of the evolutions of the next installments.- Gameblog.fr

Almost alone on his playing field, Madden NFL 13 can take its time to make progress. Nevertheless, EA switched to the new Infinity Engine for the better, in terms of contacts, animations, and the like, even though visually, the game isn't looking any better than the previous one. The content is there, but there still is some bugs (sometimes funny ones), and it doesn't quite stand up to other sports simulations that may or may not have competition to overcome.- Gameblog.fr

This is a well remastered compilation of three solid titles. They transitioned pretty well to the HD (and 3D) format, thanks to an artistic direction that didn't try to do too much at the time, with cartoony textures and models. The games themselves have the qualities and shortcomings of the originals. Nonetheless, the relevance of those games compared to the PS3 episodes may be questioned if you're not a die hard fan of the series.- Gameblog.fr

It may not look like much, but Drop Duchy is a real nugget. With its atypical recipe of unrelated elements, the game succeeds in offering a coherent and even extremely addictive experience. The icing on the cake, despite the depth of its gameplay, which only increases with each game played, is that it is ultra accessible. All in all, you'll quickly find yourself hooked on this very well-crafted gameplay loop that keeps you wanting to play perfect games and rack up high scores. And if scoring isn't your thing, there are a myriad of challenges to complete before you get bored. This journey back to the roots of Professor Layton is as much a way of discovering his past as it is one to draft a first sum-up of the series before it moves to the 3DS pastures for a new trilogy. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 gets bolder in every direction, with a colorful character design backed by a caricatural tone to mask the gravity of the purpose underneath, a denser world deployed vertically, that literally breathes life through atmospheric compositions and folklore. Some ideas deserved more development, but most concepts are organically integrated, the versatile talents of the Blades sharpening the whole gameplay. A way to cut deeper into this huge adventure enriched by the variety and random nature of such symbiotic support creations, while its slight impression of déjà vu only comes from the essential elements scavenged to forge the saga's most refined iteration. A great stealth game that suffers from a few annoying flaws. The 20 rather long missions it offers are inconsistent quality-wise, making the fan constantly switching from frustration to utter delight. But these moments are so delicious that we eventually want to forget about the game shortcomings (odd difficulty balancing, perfectible AI, sequences that can't be dealt with without gunfights). Some works leave a deep impression on you. After the excellent Gris, Nomada has succeeded for a second time in making a condensed game that will nevertheless leave a lasting impression on those who venture into it. It's hard not to compare it with the studio's previous title, so similar are they in some ways. But Neva has a personality of its own. It tackles other themes, just as universal and with an evocative force that goes straight to the heart. We want more, just a little bit more, to close this never-ending story with the feeling that we've really reached the end of what the game can tell us. This doesn't detract from the pleasure of traversing the sublime scenery of this dreamlike world, in the company of this little she-wolf whom we quickly fall in love with. MIO Memories in Orbit is undoubtedly a wonderful surprise and an invitation to feast your eyes and ears. It's a game of rare artistic intensity that exudes genuine poetry throughout. You'll enjoy losing yourself in it for dozens of hours and exploring the sometimes sprawling depths of its inspired environments. Beneath its more than charming visuals lies a highly effective Metroidvania that borrows good ideas from various sources and applies them flawlessly with great precision. The execution is excellent, but the gameplay lacks personality, which truly contrasts with everything else. While you'll discover a profoundly unique world, you'll also have the feeling of having played it before. But it's hard to fault it for that, especially if you're a fan of the genre, as the journey is well worth experiencing.- Gameblog.fr

Twisted Pixel started with a lot of ideas and good will for this semi-remake, semi-follow-up to their best game to date, 'Splosion Man. If gamers will get a lot of value, thanks to an amount of content that could put to shame several better-established productions, its implementation suffers too many shortcomings, starting with the basic concept that strayed too far away from the original by design. It's like this good old saying : if it ain't broke, don't fix it.- Gameblog.fr

A morbidly amusing narrative in the backdrop of a facetious universe, along with hilarious characters and their puzzling torments, Flipping Death undoubtedly transpires coherence as an adventure game, proving that the genre still belongs to the world of the living.- Gameblog.fr

Assassin's Creed Odyssey seems to be the series paroxysm: wider, richer and deeper than every other episode, the game still suffers from repetitiveness. The fascinating manhunt and the real choices will keep most players hooked up for a while, but only those who bought a PS4 Pro or a Xbox One X will benefit form the game's beautiful visuals. If you want to explore this endless Greek world inhabited with brilliant minds of their time, you will have to go through more of the same fetch quests the series has dealt with for so long.- Gameblog.fr

Valkyria Chronicles 2 will take a lot of your time before you actually enter the heart of the matter, but if you have enough courage to get through the first few hours of play - filled with too easy missions and a clumsy adventure part of little interest - you will eventually find an excellent set of action / strategy, as deep as it is original and beautifully executed. Not to waste anything, the improvements over the PS3 version are very interesting (class changes) and the limitations of the PSP cleverly circumvented (with combat zones divided in smaller parts for an added strategic element). Do not expect a deep adventure, though. This aspect remains very light (and a bit naive I must say).- Gameblog.fr

BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend is the most definitive version of this hardcore fighting title, in terms of fine-tuning, content, and pure visual beauty (thanks to the OLED screen); but, because of the tiny buttons and global ergonomics of the Vita, it's even harder to master. Online, there's also lag on some matches, but it's still very enjoyable for those that don't suffer from it.- Gameblog.fr

Polished on many aspects that were defects, this F1 2018 is an excellent vintage to justify its purchase even for those who own the previous version. The new regulations are also numerous and it is essential to follow the movement to stick to reality. With its driving combining both sensations and racing strategy, F1 2018 brings an unusual depth in car games. Fans of formula one, go for it. For others, you will learn a lot about discipline if you decide to give it a try.- Gameblog.fr

Beyond its colorful and cartoonesque visuals, Yoku's Island Express delivers a strong Metroidvania experience mixed with flipper mechanics. This generous and smart adventure keeps a balanced challenge from start to finish, and mixes typical flipper challenges with deep exploration gameplay. Despite a binary system of flippers and few bosses, Yoku's Island Express is a good ride with a fresh tone.- Gameblog.fr

Dance Central succeeds thanks to its sexy playlist and design (especially its interface), but its movement recognition as well. Pro dancers and rythm-disabled alike will have fun playing it. Some will find challenge in reproducing all the choreographies, others will put the hip dancing moves tips to good use. Too bad the game doesn't have a lot of modes, a way to create our own choreographies, not a larger playlist (fewer than 40 tracks). But Dance Central works: it makes us dance and laugh.- Gameblog.fr

F1 2011 is not a necessary purchase for the more casual racing game fan. Only the purists will opt to upgrade, in order to play it online, access the latest gameplay enhancement, and dive into the F1 racing world with updated cars and racers. A large update, indeed, rather than a completely new title. But the enhanced AI, better online play, and refined simulation still make for a very welcome addition ; let's hope next year's edition will also feature visual improvements.- Gameblog.fr

Unbelievable but true, Call of Duty Black Ops 6 succeeds where the license has failed for years: it has managed to create a surprise and renew its formula, finally! It is an excellent episode, one of the best in the series and by far. Its campaign will remain in your head for a long time because it is generous, well-crafted and above all incredibly surprising. Very diverse, it even offers a host of things never before attempted in the license, and above all it succeeds in everything it undertakes. Gripping from start to finish, it also allows you to get your hands on another element that has had a fresh look: the gameplay. The omnimovement, repeatedly praised by the studio, is a pretty incredible new feature that really changes the way you approach the game. Add to that an extremely solid multiplayer, also very generous with lots of game modes and well-designed maps, not to mention the Zombies mode which makes a welcome return to its roots by marrying certain new features over the episodes, and you get one of the best FPS of recent years. Yes, the Call of Duty franchise is an unmissable annual event for many fans, but this COD Black Ops 6 really is a must-have for all fans of good FPS now.- Gameblog.fr

Lost Judgment takes what was good about Judgment and turns it into an even better game. The main story is riveting and all the side-stories are just as interesting in a wide variety of ways. The game shows a side of Japan that is rarely seen in video games. And it does it in a serious way that is even rarer. The silliness people have come to expect from a Yakuza game is off course here to add some levity. It is also hard to believe how much stuff the developers have managed to put in the game. There's all the side content seen in previous Yakuza games (except for the karaoke, which is sorely missed). And on top of that, they've added a handful of brand new activities and mini-games which all have their own mechanics. With Lost Judgment, the Takuya Kimura-led series already has its Yakuza 0.- Gameblog.fr
