Bioshock The Collection on Switch is everything the home console versions brought us four years ago, but with a oh-so practical portable dimension, but also poorer graphics, thanks to a strong aliasing, and a frame-rate which cannot exceed 30 fps. But with three classical FPS games which already made history, the added DLC and many bonus gives us a good reason to dive again, on the go.

Criterion successfully blended its own style with the Need for Speed one - if you're not into scrutiny of the details. The fun is there, thanks to very accessible, arcade-y driving, and constant challenges to take on both in solo and multiplayer modes. But it's still difficult to excuse some shortcomings like the lack of visibility on some races, and poorly balanced take-downs that break the pace of the game more often than not.

Technically and visually almost flawless, even more enjoyable to play with a consistently enjoyable fluidity (but preferably with a controller), all without a mandatory PSN connection, this PC version of Shift Up's title sets the bar very high. If you've been waiting for it to go on an adventure with EVE and if you don't have a PS5 Pro, you can go for it without question, unless the price of its different editions could be a deterrent for you.

Even if the formula is still the same, without any significant new gameplay elements, The Lost Legacy succeeds in being a very good stand-alone in the Uncharted universe. It's a gorgeous (probably the most beautiful PS4 game at the moment) and funny ride, and its lovable and very interesting protagonists surely deserve to get a another shot in a more consequential and surprising game.

Dragon Quest 3 Remake is a real sweet that brings us back to a time we sometimes miss terribly. With its beautiful 2D-HD graphics, reorchestrated music, non-negligible comfort options, excellent full French translation and sometimes timid new features, Artdink Corporation and Team Asano deliver the best version of one of the founding episodes of the license. A game that is good for nostalgia and whose touches of modernity sublimate a timeless work. A must for lovers of the saga and fans of turn-by-turn role-playing games and a very good gateway for neophytes.

It's fascinating to see how The Walking Dead, as a mainly dialog-based Point & Click adventure game, manages to be more subtle than "interactive movie" productions like Heavy Rain. It's a little like if Telltale set out to produce the best possible zombie game, but with the lowest body count ever. They understood that the power of the original material of The Walking Dead was not in the undead, but in the humans.

This puzzle-game with a poetry twist draws inspirations from Limbo for its visuals, World of Goo for its drops, Portal for its... portals, Cut the Rope for its mechanics combining dexterity and brains. A very nice blend of many different elements that fit together very well.

Resident Evil Village is both a beautiful and worthy successor to Resident Evil 7 biohazard. And it is more than just a sequel that rehashes ideas seen in the previous game. Capcom's game tries things that have never been seen before in the series and keeps things moving at the right pace with a few good twists along the way. It also must be said that Capcom's developers masterfully used both light and sound to put the player in Ethan's shoes. The only problem with the game is that it may be a bit too action-oriented near the end. That being said, Resident Evil Village is undoubtedly a great Resident Evil game.

It started as an homage, and it became the best version of the game. Black Mesa is fantastic remake of Half-Life, that never betrays the source material and gives it what is needed to be appreciated by a modern player on a modern PC - even if Source Engine is definitely very old. Just keep in mind it's a well refined but not triple A game, and you'll be just fine with it.

It's rather clear: Fallout New Vegas is everything Fallout 3 should have been. Well, in terms of freedom and storyline that is, since from a technical side, it's as disappointing as ever. All we can do is pray and hope for their colleagues id Software to lend Bethesda a decent engine - Obsidian couldn't do miracles with what Bethesda's coders gave them, and sometimes it even ruins some nice gameplay ideas like their crafting system. But in the same manner everyone overlooked the flaws of Fallout 1 & 2 because their creators were storytelling geniuses, Obsidian's work on New Vegas is good enough to make us forget about all the lesser details - except maybe the overall lack of challenge.

Although not as important as Reaper of Souls for Diablo 3, Vessel of Hatred and the Season 6 that released alongside it clearly brought a welcome breath of fresh air to Diablo 4, despite a price that could be a bit too high depending of what we expect from it. The fans of the genre on the other side definitely enjoy what it offers. The campaign in the Nahantu jungle in its beautiful and macabre glory is as great as the main story in the base game, terrible cliffhanger at the end that filled us with Hatred nonwithstanding. The Spiritborn class is a true joy to play, with a great diversity of builds that are genuinely exciting to explore, alongside the Mercenaries and the runic words from Diablo 2 that make a convincing comeback, especially for solo players. Finally, the two additions to the endgame are both interesting and relevant in this central pillar of a hack'n'slash game, but only if you go through the Dark Citadel with friends. Let's hope that Blizzard will keep on this promising path with a second expansion that is most certainly already in the works (with a satisfying end this time, pretty please).

The story and the world of Xenoblade Chronicles X are both truly massive, as if they gathered all Tetsuya Takahashi's distinct influences. But Monolith Soft still managed to balance the narrative with the gameplay, while upgrading its mechanics. It tries to get a number of messages across, it tries things, it leaves us free while keeping us captivated by its universe, and it offers a fascinating visual journey to anyone willing to look beyond what the main art direction suggests. GT5 pushes the realism of the race even further and has very, very rich content, with classic races and also new additions like Karting and NASCAR. We also warmly welcome the cockpit views, the new race circuits and all the 1.000 cars. But above all, whether with the wheel or the controller, the driving sensations are really, really fantastic. Unfortunately, some stuff remains committed to values that could be described as "outdated", particularly in terms of AI, sound effects, collisions and damages. We would also have expected much better weather effects, and we regret that only 200 Premium models feature cockpit views and high poly-count. Frustrating. Graphically uneven, GT5 seems to have been finished in a hurry (same with the online mode). Of course it remains a safe bet that it would be a shame to ignore, but as early as now... we can't wait to play GT6!

This unhoped-for remaster sublimates an already beautiful and inspired JRPG, giving it a well-deserved second youth. The sooner the better? This may apply to Pokémon Ultra-Sun and Ultra-Moon in many ways. While fresh memories from the previous episodes help to notice the small, delicate differences, with clever twists aimed at Alola's returning vacationers, the main story transformations happen rather late. Similarly, the additions are mostly interesting, even captivating, but they often lack more development to display their full potential, and overall flaws were not really addressed, in particular tedious pace and inconsistent challenge. However, the generous amount of commemorative - not to say recycled - content suggests Game Freak tried to achieve some closure there, broken rules like the introduction of new species during this generation hinting that the series might seriously evolve in the future. Better late than never.

And choices that will surely have an impact. On you.

Astro's Playroom is a truly adorable and joyful platformer. Even if a bit short and not very difficult, it shows the potential of the DualSense as we go through some lovely levels with some funny ideas and a lot to remember about the whole PlayStation brand. Definitely worth your time.

Lara Croft GO is quite a good way to live another expedition with the iconic heroin on smartphones and tablets. This clever (but a bit easy) puzzle game shows great graphics, amazing atmosphere and reminds us of the PS1 era of the ponytailed adventurer.

Undeniably, Darksiders II is a gem shaped by passionate gamers for gamers. It's beautiful, it's epic, it's super-rich and varied, and even though the ending falls short compared to the journey itself, it would be a crime not to pay tribute to the impressive amount of work and effort Vigil put into this game.

Don't be fooled by the seemingly gentler looks of Shin Megami Tensei IV, it's more devilish than ever. Just like a succubus, this devious RPG will suck your whole life and lead you to the depths of hell, where you relentlessly die seducing more powerful demons, while wondering what is good or bad. And such ambiguity carried through the subtle narrative only strengthens the mature tone of this naughty experience, in every sense of the word.

With its ludicrous storyline and its super-cool characters, Ghost Trick blows a fresh wind on DS adventure games. Its designers undoubtedly loved making it. Capcom didn't lie on the goods. After a brilliant success like Phoenix Wright, its designers have done it again. Congrats.

A true tribute to the fans of the saga, this episode traces the end of Sora's journey through the exploration of new worlds, more beautiful and vast than in the past, with a strong respect for the Disney worlds from which it is inspired. In short, Kingdom Hearts III is an imperfect work but overflowing with heart.

N.O.V.A. 3 is evidently one of the prettier games on the platform. It's also a nice shell, masking the usual copy/paste habits of Gameloft, but this clear lack of real inspiration aside, it remains a fully playable, real pretty action title.

CoD Black Ops 4 is a good game, where Treyarch succeeds in offering a AAA Battle Royale experience packed with goods ideas. The Zombie mode is bigger and exhilarating, but unfortunately the classic multiplayer mode doesn't offer anything really new. All that is not enough to make us all forget the solo campaign, which totally disappeared in this episode.

Capcom mixes and matches all the fighting games ingredients, without achieving the finesse and subtlety of a Street Fighter IV. IN the end, Street Fighter X Tekken is an excellent compromise between the most demanding fighting games targeting pro-fighters, and the most pure fun oriented ones, targeting beginners. If you will, it's for fighting games, in some way, what World of Warcraft was for MMOs.

Again, Eidos Montreal succeeds in delivering a great Deus Ex experience. Mankind Divided is not a revolution in the franchise, and it really feels like a Human Revolution upgrade, but it manages to offer another great mix of RPG, FPS and stealth with some huge environments and a lot of things to discover and try before reaching its end. And with the Breach Mode for leaderboards addicts, the whole package is definitely worth a try, even if some elements like A.I. may have been more polished.

Treyarch did well in introducing Call of Duty to new approaches. The solo, especially, is surprisingly replayable thanks to story variations based on both player chance and performance. The multiplayer seems to have found the definitive system for custom classes with Pick-10, and the new Zombies mode called Tranzit offers new surprises and and open-world feeling that surely make it better. The graphics engine really starts to look old though, and the solo suffers from big plot holes, less polished scripting, and less spectacular sequences.

That's also the perfect occasion to discover a true masterpiece for everyone who hadn't played it yet. Some may say that except its graphical facelift, this new version lacks some real additions, and that's true, but Resident Evil is still a masterpiece and it's more enjoyable here than ever.

The Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Wii U port is rather successful, although playing with the GamePad is not easy at first. Fortunately, shortcuts on the touch screen are nice, but that being said, nothing beats a good arcade stick of course! Another interesting point: you can play on the GamePad screen itself. Regarding game modes, the Mushroom Mode is good fun, but not for long, and the online mode works pretty well. In short, TTT2 on Wii U is as good as the other consoles versions, but its new features, funny at first, finally don't bring so much to the experience.

ANNO 1800 succeeds in making itself playable and enjoyable on home consoles. It's rather beautiful, and the gameplay with the controller is successful, although it will take a little time to get used to it. On the other hand, if the game is nice to the eye, it has a few technical glitches that will make the less patient players complain. Some of the game's loading times are quite long, textures sometimes have trouble displaying when zooming in and the framerate seems to be slowed down quite often. It's also a shame that the game is not as well supplied as its PC version. It lacks quite a bit of content. And even though you'll already have enough to play for many hours, you can't help but be disappointed. Anyway, it's hard to sulk your pleasure, ANNO 1800 on consoles is successful and will satisfy fans of the genre.
