La Noire: The VR Cases takes back eight cases of the original game and adapts them to a virtual reality handling. The result is surprisingly realistic: the player is able to interact with many items, and the boring driving phases are now thrilling to play. The examination sequences are also so much better, even if they kept a few minor flaws form the original. Wherever you play the original game or not, The VR Cases is a must-try for the equipped players.

This 3DS remake of the cult Cave Story fits the bill. It's nicely re-done, all the while keeping what made the original a brilliant game. Perfect gameplay, inspired level-design, mesmerizing musics and enticing plot: no element of this remake can disappoint the fans of good old action platforming "oldschool" games in 2D. A gem of passion you have to play.

Six years after its initial release on PC, Hotline Miami is offered with its suite Hotline Miami 2 : Wrong Number (2015) on Switch, through Hotline Miami Collection. If the two titles have been available for some years now on PlayStation consoles including PS Vita, the attraction of being able to play these two cult titles on a portable console such as that of Nintendo is obvious. Hotline Miami games always offer a cryptic story ticking all the boxes of subversiveness, hypnotizing like the bloody scrums in which it plunges us, the cries of flamboyant synthesizers and heavy and threatening beats. Saber Interactive blesses us with a gorgeous love letter to the iconic universe imagined by Games Workship, like few other games have before. Impersonating an Angel of Death has never been so thrilling and the slaughter made in the Emperor's name so beautiful to feast our eyes upon. The third person shooters aficionados will also find here an extremely solid title, whether through an although rather short but enjoyable Campaign or with the Operations mode, that offers huge replayability, or finally with the multiplayer mode. Despite the huge work done on the game that shows a contagious passion, it severly lacks content in its base form. Dragon Age II is blessed with a deep universe and a ton of content, but it's sadly undermined by its technical side. Even though, visually, the game goes beyond the original, it still forgoes some elements of its predecessor in order to become more action-oriented, which is a choice that will most probably keep dividing opinions. All we can do is pray and hope for their colleagues id Software to lend Bethesda a decent engine - Obsidian couldn't do miracles with what Bethesda's coders gave them, and sometimes it even ruins some nice gameplay ideas like their crafting system. But in the same manner everyone overlooked the flaws of Fallout 1 & 2 because their creators were storytelling geniuses, Obsidian's work on New Vegas is good enough to make us forget about all the lesser details - except maybe the overall lack of challenge.

Battlefield 6 marks the franchise's grand return to the podium of the best FPS games of its generation. The change of direction for the license and this long-awaited return to its roots does it a world of good, and we're loving it. The campaign may not be very long and the AI is completely useless, but the simple fact of rediscovering a hint of the Bad Company 2 feeling is enough to make it enjoyable. This is a bonus that complements the main attraction, which is the multiplayer mode. The content is generous and we even get a new game mode, which turns out to be a very pleasant surprise. With around forty weapons, dozens of gadgets and accessories, and lots of cosmetics to unlock, it's hard to complain, especially when you know that more free content is on the way. Still, the number of maps is a bit stingy, especially since they're not all memorable, but that's pretty much all we can fault it for. The gameplay feels great and largely takes center stage, which is what matters most in the end. The multiplayer is unlike any other, it's classic Battlefield, intense and immersive, sometimes even more cinematic than the campaign. We want more, it's spectacular.

Ninja Gaiden 4 definitely breathes new life into the iconic franchise, thanks in large part to a dream partnership with action game masters Platinum Games. The result is a game with truly frantic, exhilarating gameplay that's also very intuitive and offers just the right amount of challenge to appeal to both veterans and newcomers. However, the combat can at times be a little chaotic, the visuals are not groundbreaking, and the somewhat clumsy recycling of assets to justify Ryu Hayabusa's return is a bit of a letdown. Nevertheless, we can then reunite with the legendary hero in all his glory thanks to generous endgame content, after completing a relatively short but undeniably intense main story. Pure adrenaline for fans of challenges and ninjas, and one of the best pure action games of a year 2025 already brimming with excellent titles.

Even though Mists of Pandaria may be easing things up a little too much leveling-up wise, it's full of delicious content. But World of Warcraft's age is starting to show, both in terms of quest structure and storytelling. The humor is still a nice touch.

One year after its original release, Splatoon 2 finally gets the one-player mode it deserves. With 80 brand new challenges, the Octo Expansion bring some fresh air and almost transforms the franchise into a solo adventure. Its tough difficulty may sometimes seem too much, but its bribe system will forbid anyone to be stuck forever. Get ready to build up your skill, but only when a sale period might make this DLC more affordable.

Undoubtedly generous, Blazblue Calamity Trigger Portable is gracefully ported to the PSP, with numerous modes of gameplay, its rich and deep combat system, excellent production values, and divine soundtrack. If you love the genre, it an excellent title for the PSP, despite its d-pad that can render the initial fights a little tricky, and the lower resolution of the sprites compared to the HD versions.

After two attempts, IO Interactive has finally succeeded in transforming Hitman World of Assassination into a highly recommended VR experience. In fact, it's one of the best virtual reality games on the market. Unfortunately, it's still a game designed for a flat screen, so there are limitations that prevent it from being a complete VR experience.

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter offers a very well-written story, with an enchanting atmosphere and superb technical achievement, even if you feel sometimes running around in circles and a slightly slower pace story. An experience to live... and to play.

Well, this port is quite the disappointment: laggy framerate, blurry, not even able to reach 60fps docked. It is quite hard to recommend this port to anyone who already played Ys VIII. For the others, if you own a PS4, PC or a Vita, buy these versions instead. Otherwise, go for the Nintendo Switch because even though this port is lazy, Ys VIII remains an excellent J-RPG which deserves to be enjoyed by as many people as possible.

A good JRPG with good fights, but the story is like a giant prequel to the fourth episode, with poor main issues, and the graphics are one generation late.

Soul Sacrifice Delta is not only a huge extension powered up by new bosses, locales and spells to alleviate the experience's inherent repetitiveness. The introduction of an intriguing, grim(m)ly choice adds a some depth and diversity, both through the narrative and the gameplay. Hence this accomplished stand-alone represents the definitive incarnation of Soul Sacrifice, even if there is a hefty price to pay for veteran sorcerers.

Sega has skillfully orchestrated the blue hedgehog's return to the racetrack. Rather than taking the risk of a complete overhaul, the teams have instead revisited a formula that already worked very well, modernizing it by drawing inspiration from what they had previously created. Smooth, fast-paced, and wildly addictive, Sonic Racing CrossWorlds has something to delight fans of the genre on all platforms. The only drawbacks are a rather meager launch roster, a limited number of Grand Prix tracks, and the Competition Area, which won't appeal to everyone. But with its promise of regular content updates over the long term, it has everything it takes to become a new staple in the racing game landscape.

Vermintide 2 is a splendor. Probably the best Warhammer game at the moment, especially because Fatshark studio is talented enough to keep only the best of this universe. With an intelligent loot system, charismatic heroes and many classes, and some great violent action, Vermintide is a must-have if you love cooperative action games.

Like previous Clubhouse Games, the title of 51 Worldwide Games says a lot. Its sobriety hides true gems, transposed in virtual form with so much care that they would almost supplant reality. A tremendous homage to the games' roots and diversity, which everybody around the world can enjoy anywhere, anytime, whether solo, with friends or online partners, depending on the moment's aspirations. While this collection ups the ante on action, odds still favor classics, and Nintendo even draws few ambitious experiences gathered in this chest full of treasures, decidedly made to last, and play.

When the complete series is out there, and The Walking Dead becomes a full game, this fourth episode won't be one to be mocked or tagged as a low point. All the ingredients were successfully implemented, and Telltale doesn't begin to lose the momentum of this engaging story at any point up to the almost enraging cliffhanger. Now all that's left is to wait for the next one.

Because it's still far from being perfect : visually underwhelming, and with permissive collisions there is still room for improvement.

Indeed, Loop Hero encourages him to experiment new approaches in order to gather more and more loot or to confront the four bosses of the game, the latter being no mean feat.
