A depth progressively revealed by the talents of our famous belly dancer, her seamless transformations proving particularly polyvalent. And the additional skills from the collectible monster cards ultimately enhance Shantae and the Seven Sirens, an almost irresistible call indeed.

Wartales is an excellent sandbox RPG that gives you total freedom on the path to experience.

SOMA is a very good horror experience, thanks to a frightful atmosphere, a fantastic sound design and a smart story.

Compared to the king of the genre, UFC Undisputed, I must confess I have a personal preference for EA Sports MMA, thanks to its accessibility and "easy to pick-up" philosophy. UFC remains the deepest of the two, and benefits greatly from its official license, but this first foray of EA on that front really establishes it as a serious competitor. It's especially true if you're looking for online play, where EA's experience is really shining in comparison to UFC. So if you're not already a hardcore fan playing UFC, but just someone who's interested in starting up with something more noob-friendly, EA Sports MMA is just for you.

With this second chapter Life is Strange: Before the Storm keeps on delivering an interesting story about Chloe and her relationship with Rachel, through a quite bumpy. There's violence, fear, passion, tough decisions... and still some lovely characters and some great music.

As well executed as its console counterparts, Dead or Alive : Dimensions really is stunning, both technically and gameplay-wise. Too bad the 3D doesn't bring anything to the table, really, except some frame rate drops that the purists won't be able to handle. For the rest, it's the portable DoA you can't miss to enjoy dynamic combats and pretty lady fighters!

Criterion seems to have done the maximum in order to offer a similarly fun experience on the Vita than it did on the 360 and PS3. This version is impressive, has roughly the same content than the console ones. Its just slightly less beautiful and with fewer contestants in the races, but other than that, it's the same experience.

LEGO Builder's Journey is an amazing experience, even more for players who own a computer that can handle Ray-Tracing. It's simple, efficient, charming and it even if it's short and has a few issues, can please anyone, child or adult.

The opportunity to play Brothers A Tale of Two Sons in local co-op is not a bad idea in itself, but the experience is less relevant since it was designed as a solo game at first, with a single player able to control two characters at the same time.

Terra Nil is a a deeply soothing and relaxing game. Very beautiful artistically, we only regret that it is too short.

This Global Offensive refreshes the Counter Strike so many gamers loved. There are some new things beyond its production values, but the gameplay is roughly the same : quite demanding by today's FPS standards. So if you're fed up with assisted targeting and self-replenishing life, and want a bite of old-school FPS, it will probably be exactly what you're looking for.

Kaze and the Wild Masks borrows every aspect of the Donkey Kong Country formula, and delivers a classic adventure, which sadly lacks surprises and identity. Despite beautiful environments and old-school collectibles, it is a game you already played for the most part.

Even if it isn't as chocking as The Stick of Truth was, South Park: The Fractured But Whole offers a delightful experience for South Park fans. Faithful to the source material, this sequel is both funny, well-written and fun to play as the super hero setting fits the gameplay well. Fans of Trey Parker and Matt Stone's work should really give this game a shot.

Eight years after the original Wii version, this Extra Epic Yarn comes back on the old 3DS console, with a new diabolical mode which brings à tiny bit of challenge to an overall very easy game. Its two new mini-games might be now enough to bring back the players of 2010, especially with a lower frame rate and no 3D effects at all. Still, Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn is a good platformer and might satisfy 3DS owners.

Nintendo’s cutest mascot goes back to its root. Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe serves us the same dish as on Wii, but with a new presentation, a side dish that will delight and a desert that will satisfy the hungriest players. The recipe and the ingredients are familiar, it's delicious as ever. Magolor‘s epilogue brings enough flavors to spice up an already well-cooked experience. Without innovating, this side story brings a touch of challenge that was missing in the original game. A terribly charming title.

Monster Hunter 3 on 3DS is certainly a good opportunity to dive into the enchanting world of this Capcom license. The 3DS / Wii U connectivity is a good addition, but this 2009 game still suffers sometimes from archaic level design and gameplay.

Project Diva Mega Mix is a good entry door for Switch players. But if you already own Future Tone, pass your way.

Following the series trademark mix of platformer and exploration, Yoshi's Crafted World delivers a pleasing experience, thanks to its side levels, with plenty of items to find and collect. Unfortunately, the game tries too hard to increase its lifetime by making the player go through the same levels over and over again. With stronger efforts on the soundtrack and and a better emphasis on the technical part, Yoshi's Crafted World could easily have been one of the best episodes of the series.

This new Transformers Game may look like your typical third person shooter, but it still is a love letter to the original animated series, just refreshed a little bit to try and attract newcomers.

Pokkén Tournament DX is a good fighting game for the Nintendo Switch, that uses the features of the system to offer local versus with two players having a Joycon.

This WipEout 2048 is a true technology feat. Visually sublime, fast as hell, it's a comprehensive game as well. If the 3 seasons of the solo campaign will not challenge much until the last races, they will make a good training for the enhanced strategic elements, before heading into the multiplayer campaign. A splendid title, perfect for nomad play.

Carto is a nice, very clever puzzle-game which offers brand new mechanics to change the world by twisting map pieces. Thanks to beautiful landscapes and very well thought enigmas, Sunhead's game only suffers from a lack of clues, which might drive the most impatient players crazy.

Orcs Must Die! is nice blend of strategic Tower Defense and venting hack'n slash, as odd as it may sound. Aside from a few shortcomings, its production's spot on and Robot Entertainment even managed to stick a nice story on top of it. But the main issue overshadowing the fame is the lack of challenge in the campaign. A little patch with a harder difficulty mode would be nice. And add a coop mode while you're at it, please.

Dynasty Warrior Origins kicks a genre that has been stalled for too long. The musô comes out of its niche to tickle the curiosity of a wider audience, without forgetting its roots. It is a logical evolution of an old formula that still refuses to let go of its foundations, but accepts modernity. Result, the game drags its old demons like redundancy, intrinsic to the genre that we find in force here, or graphics below the standards. But the rest takes a facelift, with more advanced narration, efforts of staging and especially a will to do in the great show. It works like a dream, the game is complete, generous and super fun. In many ways, it impresses and turns out to be extremely exhilarating. If you were a fan of musô before, you will enjoy it. If you were curious, but never dared to take the plunge, this Dynasty Warrior Origins is the perfect gateway, go for it.

If you're looking for a good science-fiction survival game with a ton of fresh ideas, deep and satisfying mechanics with a lot of replayability and, of course, a great setting... Well, look elsewhere, because Prey is not good: it's amazing.

PayDay2 is PayDay: The heist, but matured, polished, and with more content. The shortcomings of its gameplay remain the same (mostly a redundant aspect), but it's very easy to overlook them in favor of fun, and it's clearly better served by balanced teams that can use each and every technique offered by its classes and gameplay. The end result is really nice.

Fun in many ways, but showing a number of defects that are likely to be in the final Dead Rising 2, Case Zero offers enough playing time to make a first review. This kind of "demo" (worth 400 Microsoft Points) has good things to offer, but do not expect to learn a lot of juicy details about the past of Chuck Greene or that kind of stuff, you would be disappointed.

Until Dawn is a true survival horror within a story-driven game, where all choices have consequences. It has a fantastic atmosphere and you will certainly be scared.

TOEM is a peaceful and funny journey through the eyes of a joyful photographer. With many surprises to discover and folks to help, TOEM is a (very) short but relaxing adventure, which controls could have deserved better care.

Clearly, DeathSpank's main strength is in its dialog and humor. As an Action RPG, it remains a little too simple to fulfill the needs of hardcore hack'n slash fans, and some game design flaws and ergonomics mistakes render its 10 or so gameplay hours a little bit tedious and less inspired than we'd hoped. It still is a visually charming, point'n click and silly ideas enriched adventure to dive in. Its shortcomings can easily be ignored by those who like games that don't take themselves too seriously, something DeathSpank achieves with flying colors.

The handover took place the best way between Media Molecule and Sumo Digital: LittleBigPlanet 3 is more satisfying than ever with its strong story mode, its smart gameplay additions and its fantastic creation mode.

Ghost Recon Future Soldier offers deep gameplay, subtle tactical options, and a solid campaign, best played cooperatively with 3 other players. It's also comprehensive in terms of competitive multiplayer, and its well balanced stealth / action formula gives a near perfect pace to those who are looking for this kind of more evolved TPS.

The Unfinished Swan is a nice tale, nicely polished and visually interesting, but the build-up of the story takes too much time for such a short experience, and setting aside the last minutes of play, there isn't really any smart or neat gameplay ideas; others were able to give a more powerful story or experience before it, and it shows.

Far from a simple 3D "remodelization" for a more powerful, yet still portable home system, Pokémon: Let's Go not only refreshes the series' very first adventure, but also reflects the long journey since then, by wisely integrating evolutions such as Pokemon Go's capture system or partners in order to improve the modernity, accessibility and conviviality of the formula. A fantastic way to (re)start Pokémon, and a glorious conclusion for Junichi Masuda as director.

Capcom didn't risk too much: Dead Rising 2 is but a better Dead Rising. More content, more atmosphere, more zombies, more challenges, more multiplayer, more folly, more psychos, more weapons, and more desire to have another bite. But be warned: if you didn't like the playability of the first one, this sequel won't please you either. Every single thing one could criticize about the original is back for the sequel. It's still a wonder for zombies aficionados, a must-have for lovers of everytning that combines kitch aesthetics and gore... if you're able to tolerate some frequent and really long loading times.

A Hat in Time is such a pleasant surprise. Hilarious and full of bright ideas, inspired and playing like a classic - even if the camera can't be tamed-, this 3D platformer has been made for all of those who feel nostalgic about best games of the genre like Super Mario 64 or Banjo-Kazooie. And is clearly essential to them.

Impossible not to be disappointed after so long a wait. But when one witnesses the result, on will probably think that this cross-over wasn't meant to be. I love spaghetti, and I love chocolate spread, but with a little thinking, I wouldn't mix the two. Maybe that's how they should have contemplated this wedding between Layton and Wright. Even the brilliant production values, 3D transition and exquisite music are not enough to make us forget about the dull situations one has to repeat over and over again. It's the poorest of the Phoenix Wrights and the most laughable Layton.

If you're new to the over-the-top combat games and didn't yet try the Marvel vs. Capcom series, it would be pure madness to miss this one. On several levels, it's purely spectacular. But if you already payed Marvel vs Capcom 3 last february and are not a pro, maybe it's time to say no, thanks. Unless you're rich.

Catherine shines thanks to its concept, its mature take on adult and social themes, as well as its burlesque side. A lot of its charm comes from its phenomenal voice-acting, and japanese word-based puns. A frivolous story of three-way love wrapped inside a thriller plot, combined with an efficient puzzle game: without a doubt, Atlus delivers an innovative game.

Blazing Chrome is more than a simple homage to the Contra and Metal Slug series: the game also takes liberties to offer the genre a new and strong challenger. With two very different styles and a delightful pixel-art look, there is much more than meets the nostalgic eyes in this complete run and gun.

Iridium Studios makes a striking comeback with People of Note. While the game isn’t quite perfect and could do with a little more spice in its gameplay, it shows real boldness and completely captivates with an art style that fully embraces its concept. The combat system could have used even more polish to make it more engaging. On the other hand, we’re treated to a heartfelt adventure—somewhat clichéd, but well worth checking out.

Dying Light: The Beast attempts to reconnect with the original DNA that many players believed was altered by the second instalment. It features violent and impactful fights, an oppressive soundscape enhanced by Olivier Derivière's compositions, and stressful day/night cycles. This new Dying Light game defies convention to create an even stronger sense of immersion.

Despite the somewhat repetitive missions, Driver San Francisco is packed with qualities. It's gotten back to its roots, but with an all new feature: the "shift" ability, which is wonderfully used in solo or multiplayer gameplay. The driving is really cool, the car chases are thrilling and spectacular...and the multiplayer is really good fun. A nearly perfect come-back!

Konami opted for prudence with TMNT The Cowabunga Collection and it was the best thing to do. This compilation brings together the most iconic old Ninja Turtles games but offers the opportunity for those who want to add a modern touch. Fans will be ecstatic with the impressive museum. A must have.

Sackboy: A Big Adventure is a beautiful yet very classic platformer. Sumo Digital delivers a decent game mostly made for children : with a repetitive gameplay and a lack of real challenge, it still offers to a younger audience an unharmful and colorful adventure. Too bad the DualSense wasn't used more on PS5.

LocoRoco Remastered reminds us how unique and fun the game was back in 2006. Its trigger-based gameplay gives a new taste to the platformer genre, and the level design never ceases to renew itself. Unfortunately, this reissue do not offers any new content when there was so many things to think of.

There's no denying it: the fun is very well here (especially with two players) if you like the Harry Potter world, the fan service required being obviously present, even though we were expecting a little more impudence from Traveller's Tales. Fans will enjoy exploring every corner of the school to gather points, solve minor riddles, save endangered students, buy new spells, etc. The LEGO formula works, and in this one in particular, there is a lot to do!

An excellent DLC that could claim itself as a full game without blushing. Dying Light style is still here, with an interesting plot and ending, and still efficient. The massive map is quite perfect to roam in the new - and very pleasant to drive - buggie and find more and more zombies to slay, alone or with friends.

Goetia is a bewitching good point and click with a fantastic atmosphere and a few flaws. The difficulty of the whole experience can be repulsive to some players. But old school lovers who love to look around and read before finding a solution to a puzzle, will surely get what they want.

Hidden Through Time is what you can expect from a "Where's Waldo ?" video game look alive: it's fun, makes time fly, and let us focus on some big dioramas through many historical periods. Let's hope that the map editor will give player reasons to come back again and again.

Now available on Xbox, MLB The Show is still a fantastic way to discover and play baseball. This entry is still a very immersive experience, with a lot of things to do. And crossplatform is a great feature.

The Quarry is the worthy successor of Until Dawn, but also Supermassive’s best game so far. With its endearing casting, an addictive story, an astonishing cinematography and a proven formula, The Quarry is a must-play horror game for fans of the genre.

With very well-crafted gameplay, PES 2019 is able to deliver some intense, gratifying, gorgeous looking soccer games. The fact is that it is as fantastic on the pitch (except for a referee who can forget to let the game play instead of whistling), that it's lame on the content side. Nothing really new in terms of content or UI, which is not harmful for soccer game evenings with friends but can start to annoy those who expect more from Konami.

The Division is a very good game. Mixing singleplayer and multiplayer in a splendid New York setting, the map offers plenty of content and the Dark zone is a really nice PVP/PVE place to play. The gameplay is simple, the AI is far from good, but the entire experience is a must.

This time, the conversion of this classic is loyal to the original game published in 2005 on GameCube. Even if this is a lazy port, technically speaking, it is still one of the best survival horror games ever made, and you ought to play it if you didn't before. Period.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem is the worthy successor of the previous episode released on the DS. A fine puzzle game to pick your brains with. Short at first, it still fulfills its goal with additional challenges in the "+" mode, and the editor. It may not be revolutionary concept-wise at all, and even become a little tedious for some, but fans of the genre will be satisfied, thanks to great production values and a solid level design.

Naruto Shipuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is a spectacular game with a good story mode and an impressive amount of fan service.

FIFA 20 is quite similar to the previous version in its intentions. It's all about attack, dribbling and even if defense has been a bit tweaked, it's easy to see EA Sports wants to offer spectacular football before realism. Those who are okay with this vision will love it, and some additions like Volta, very pleasant, are, with a better Career mode and an always addictive FUT, will help to keep playing it for the whole year, until FIFA 21.

Fire Pro Wrestling World offers a truly great alternative to the WWE 2K games. With its deep gameplay mechanics, its Visual Novel-like story mode and the addition of the New Japan Pro Wrestling roster, Spike Chunsoft's wrestling game is a must play for hardcore wrestling fans.

Sniper Elite 5 brings a few improvements to an IP that works well. But after waiting for over 5 years, we would have hoped to see a bit more new stuff, and to be able to enjoy up-to date visuals and animations. Still, if you like the series, this journey through France will be quite enjoyable.

Elden Ring Nightreign is definitely a game apart in FromSoftware's catalog. Despite a clear requirement primarily geared toward three-player co-op, we legitimately had many memorable moments on this "Rogue-Lite Survival" spin-off in a generally successful and frankly addictive way, despite obvious balancing issues and questionable choices for a title focused on multiplayer. To fully appreciate the game in all its glory, however, we can only strongly advise you to play it with a group of friends. If you are primarily a solo player, unless you are a true Souls-like god, it is clearly better to move on, or bitterly suffer the consequences.

OlliOlli is an addictive skateboard game that will stick you to your PS Vita screen for long hours. Too bad there is not so much content inside, but for this small price, and as long as you like skateboarding games, it's still a good deal.

With the exception of the brilliant transposition of this universe in 3D, the actual changes are not so numerous. Zen Pinball 3D offers four tables to be played : Excalibur, El Dorado, Earth Defense! and Shaman. Too bad those aren't new from the XBLA and PSN versions, and that the comfort of the 3DS screen isn't really one that suits certain camera angles. But the game still remains a good flipper title, with fair visuals, and once its 3D has been tamed, it's a good companion for nomad players who love to get extra balls.

First Strike looks like an old school Wargame, but plays like a frenetically "hit the gopher" arcade game.

Dragon Age II is blessed with a deep universe and a ton of content, but it's sadly undermined by its technical side. Even though, visually, the game goes beyond the original, it still forgoes some elements of its predecessor in order to become more action-oriented, which is a choice that will most probably keep dividing opinions. We'd have hoped to see this sequel install the franchise as a must-have by correcting the shortcomings of the original. Instead, we'll have to make-do with finding it most entertaining indeed, but without any added praise. Too bad.

Resident Evil 3 is a good game that doesn't manage to reach the heights that Resident Evil 2 did. Nemesis has a great new look but he doesn't instill fear like Mr. X did last year. The game is also quite short. Resident Evil Resistance has an interesting concept but suffers from balancing and technical issues.

Nioh 2 Darkness in the Capital adds three missions, some side quests and a new playable weapon. A good DLC, who can be played a few hours or a dozen.

DriveClub Bikes offers a nice and fun experience, thanks to the graphics and social challenges inherited by the original DriveClub. But don't even think of it if you are searching for realism and bike sensations.

If Nintendo Switch is not a PS4 or an Xbox One, DOOM succeeds, by making some sacrifices, to stay the almost same as it was on its initial release. Especially on TV, it feels like a downgraded experience but is definitely a great shooter that's worth it if you haven't played it or you feel the desire to kill demons wherever you go.

Dirt 5 revives what made the original series so successful. Fun right away without wasting time on adjustments and improvements of all kinds. He thus honors his illustrious arcade ancestors with a very nice rendering. It is thus easier to forgive missing functions that have now become classic in racing games.

Kirby Air Riders is like a strawberry sorbet: sweet, refreshing, but not exactly essential. Yet, in the quieter stretch of the year, it might just catch you off guard. The King of Fighters XIV is a good fighting game but its complex gameplay may not be enjoyable for novice players. Its graphics are generally not very good, and it shows some irregularities. Despite all these points, the game has a lot of solo content, and a good online mode.

Tales of Berseria is the game that all Tales of fans have been waiting for. Top-notch battle system and excellent cast makes it a must-have for any J-RPG fan who has recently been disappointed by the franchise. The only thing is the lack of fresh ideas and the old looking graphics.

Rules is a good way to continue the story of Life is Strange 2. This chapter that makes us make some tough decisions regarding the situation can be depressing, soothing, shocking, moving and we are really looking forward to know where Sean and Daniel are taken next time.

Ricky Haggett's I Am Dead offers a nice walk on a fictional island through the eyes of the recently deceased Morris Lupton, hoping to find a new Keeper to prevent a volcan's eruption. With it's dog Sparky and a clever mechanic of zooming into almost every item, house or people you can see, I Am Dead is a short but relaxing puzzle-adventure. We simply hoped the extra challenge was more rewarding.

Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment is more than just a spin-off, it’s an integral part of the main timeline, even if it takes a few creative liberties. It’s also an excellent and generous action game for the Nintendo Switch 2. The combat is highly dynamic, with hundreds of enemies swarming the screen amidst stunning visual effects, and it boasts a deep gameplay system that requires time to fully master. Despite its menus, some awkward game design choices, and repetitiveness, Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment is well worth the time and effort. Its gameplay, surprises, and significance within the Zelda universe make it a game worth experiencing.

Trials Rising sticks to its roots by offering and fun and challenging trip around the world, putting aside the flashy neon look of its previous entry. Its various locations and constant humour will as usual keeps players hooked up for hours, thanks to a solid content and a heavy soundtrack that might have benefited from more diversity.

While the game does not revolutionize the genre and it is not free of defects (repetitive, lack of clarity at times), it brings a little more subtlety than its predecessor in terms of gameplay.

Burnout Paradise Remastered is a lazy portage of his illustrious elder. If we are happy to have the most complete version here, we can only regret that there has not been some modifications to the ergonomics of the title. At this price we have the most beautiful and the most complete version of a game that has 10 years of age on its gameplay (which is excellent, as we already know).

Beautiful, efficient, but burdened with a poor story, this GoW: Judgment lacks innovation for sure, but also its more vivid casting and its new multiplayer mode don't really cohere with small teams and arenas. It still remains a high quality TPS, though, but not one that will make memories.

LEGO Voyagers is an audacious and contemplative adventure, which has the merit of attempting something that we had not yet encountered in the brand's catalog. The whole thing is sumptuous, beautifully served by graphics that will make animation studios jealous and an OST that perfectly serves the meditative dimension of the title. On the other hand, it lacks that little something engaging to fully transport us into its proposal. What's more, the sense of solidarity is sorely lacking in the co-op aspect, which is essential for a game that cannot be played solo. You can sense Light Brick Studios' desire to please and bring a bubble of serenity, but not everyone will find the fulfillment they are looking for.

If you didn't have the opportunity to play it since 2011, you can go for the Nintendo Switch version of L.A. Noire without fear as it's still a good adventure game with some great investigation and interrogating systems that have an impact on the way you solve cases, and an amazing atmosphere with some excellent acting. The port is true to the original game and has some issues, on TV and docked mode, but it doesn't prevent the game from being an immersive experience.

Don't Starve is brilliantly titled. This rich and smart rogue-like defies you to explore and survive an equally cruel and alluring randomly generated world, but I suspect that the "Don't Starve" advice isn't for your character but for yourself: the game is so enticing and brilliant that those playing it will soon find themselves skipping the real life meals to continue playing.

Every year, the NBA 2K saga is a great priestess of sports games simulations. It is difficult to imagine that the outcome will change this year, when the basic recipe remains the same. What was less predictable is that NBA 2K25 sows some seeds of improvement rather well come, notably in the accessibility of the game and its universe, in the approach to certain modes and especially, in the overall gameplay. NBA 2K25 is fun to play, more affordable than its predecessor, as long as you take the time to learn and set your gaming experience, and it gives players a little more freedom in how they live their Career or GM role. But we expect better for the women’s circuit, better in the pay-to-win balance. A margin of improvement to be sought next year, who knows?

At its best, Anger Foot is a great tribute to its biggest inspiration, Hotline Miami, with a FPS perspective smartly used. The gameplay is as frantic and exhilarating, with an OST (sadly a bit limited) that literally takes us in a psychedelic LSD trip through Shit City. The experience is unfortunately marred by some frustrating shortcomings, such as a clumsy gunplay, leading us way too often to a quick and annoying demise, over and over again. Worst of all are the boss fights, extremely tedious, and in stark contradiction with the rest of the gameplay loop. Sadly, the 20-odd shoes that we can collect through a lot of hardship won't help, a lot of them adding funny effects to be sure, but rather useless nonetheless. All in all, Anger Foot is a pretty satisfying game, but clearly lacks the mastery of Dennaton Games' title, although 12 years its elder.

Paper Beast is a separate work in the PlayStation VR catalog. Its strange universe and its endearing beasts are its strengths, as is the beauty of certain panoramas, especially those at night, which undeniably allow the player to escape. Special mention to the sequence of the oil spill which seems to arise from a temporal fault ... The game mechanics partly recall a previous game by Eric Chahi, From Dust , but what a pity that only the travel by teleportation is proposed. Paper Beast is a good game, but with free movement it would be much better.
