In Arise: A Simple Story, everything seems simple. It's quite easy to play - even though controls are clunky - and quite easy to understand. But it's not easy to forget, as it is a superb and very emotional tale, with superb visuals, fantastic music and a very moving story - that will make you easily cry.- Gameblog.fr

Both technical and brutal, Chivalry doesn't take itself too seriously (especially with an over-the-top sound design), and it's really playable. Its only true shortcoming comes from the network code that sometimes dies on you in the middle of a fight.- Gameblog.fr

Putting some difficult years behind, the 2011 edition of PES has become attractive again. But if it's been able to catch up in any way, its more with what was expected from previous editions than with its competitor FIFA. On almost all fronts, except its interface, formation menus, and ball physics, EA's title seems superior. PES remains an excellent football game, and will be loved by many, but like the "Oranje" team of Holland, its latest performance isn't the best ever, especially when compared the other team.- Gameblog.fr

With Civilization 7, Firaxis successfully modernizes the franchise while staying true to its legacy. The evolution of eras, more strategic diplomacy, and the new military system bring a much-needed refresh to the series. City management feels smoother, expansion is more natural, and architecture evolves over time, making each empire unique. The visual style, reminiscent of Civilization V, combined with an immersive soundtrack, further enhances the experience. More accessible without sacrificing depth, this installment could become the new 4X benchmark. The big question remains whether Firaxis will provide long-term support, but one thing is certain: Civilization 7 is a turning point for the franchise, and it has what it takes to surpass Civilization V.- Gameblog.fr

High Hell will easily speak to every fan of the old-school FPS of the 90's. Thanks to its absurd design, Devolver's new game tastes like a nice trip of acid. The only downside to the formula is indubitably its short length, but we will gladly take those two hours of pure fun.- Gameblog.fr

Wild Hearts is indeed a serious competitor to Monster Hunter. If the game is not so different from its model, the form is another story. The Karakuri completely change the dynamics of hunting and exploring and make the whole thing very dynamic. It's extremely generous, there's plenty to play for many, many hours and it's well written, as surprising as that is for the genre. Alas, even if Wild Hearts has a beautiful Japanese art direction, technically it's clearly not up to scratch. Not only are there glitches almost everywhere, but the game can be very ugly at times, especially because of its droopy textures. A few patches will therefore be necessary to get the most out of it. Too bad, we were close to an absolutely huge title. However, if you get past the not-so-sexy packaging, Wild Hearts might just surprise you.- Gameblog.fr

Call of Duty WWII is a real success and the franchise's return to its roots can only be acclaimed. The campaign does justice to both the Second World War and D-Day. The multiplayer, while packed with good ideas, lacks the ambition seen and felt in the campaign. Call of Duty WWII offers the best CoD single player campaign seen in quite some time and multiplayer modes that are fun even if a bit underwhelming. Overall, it's mission accomplished for Sledgehammer.- Gameblog.fr

Especially if you know and love the original game, Mafia Definitive Edition is pure joy. We follow the adventures of Tommy Angelo like we would follow those of a character of a good move form Coppola. Beyond nostalgia, we take part in a wonderful gangster story. Replaced is an enjoyable game. While it feels much more conventional than we originally expected, especially after its numerous delays, it’s nonetheless a solid effort from Sad Cat Studios. Admittedly, it won’t leave a lasting impression for its gameplay or its storyline, but it will likely have no trouble winning over fans of 2.5D action-adventure games who are also fans of cyberpunk settings. Because in the end, that’s what we’ll remember the most about Replaced: its top-notch retro-futuristic design.- Gameblog.fr

Neople's The First Berserker Khazan is a success. While it opts for a classic structure and a level design without too many surprises, it pulls out all the stops with its gameplay, halfway between souls-like and beat'em all. Hyper-energetic and highly graphic, the combat system is a pure success. Despite the difficulty, which is not always well balanced, the game is not punishing, but rather rewards the slightest action. The build-up of power coupled with the feeling of accomplishment make The First Berserker Khazan a truly enjoyable and exhilarating experience. Not to mention its masterful, eye-popping art direction and, above all, its talent for staging boss battles, which spares nothing. 16 years later, Dragon Quest VI finally gets released in our countries, as a portable remake with two screens and a beautiful 3D graphics overhaul. The game itself didn't change, which will please the purists but may also frighten the beginners... A lack of clear directions throughout the game, a crual save system and an impressive length can be daunting nowadays. Apart from that, the game is epic and it will delight all fans of J-RPG who likes gigantic maps, side quests and the challenge that may represent a class system somewhat "hostile. Lone Echo II is available on PC and we dabbled in it to finish the adventure that started 4 years ago! If the scenario is in direct line with the previous one, it will bring its share of surprises, time travel and a much more definitive conclusion than before. The VR gameplay is inherited and almost modeled on that of the first episode: you move weightlessly with the strength of your arms or your jetpack, and you have to wander around a crumbling space station and fix it and relaunch it with it. the few tools that are at your disposal. Whether through its universe or the experience offered in virtual reality, Lone Echo II is worth its weight in peanuts, and if you are equipped and have already completed the first, we advise you to see the end of the adventure.- Gameblog.fr

Dune Awakening isn't a typical survival game. Where most games in the genre focus only on surviving or escaping, Funcom goes further. The game offers deep immersion in a legendary universe, a satisfying power curve, a team-based endgame, and PvP with real strategic potential. But this ambition comes with flaws. The experience is still rough in places. The UI is clunky, the AI is weak, and combat lacks fluidity. Some systems shine while others need polish. Dune Awakening won’t suit everyone. Its slow start and demanding design might turn off some players. But those who embrace its rhythm will find a tough, generous sandbox. This first DLC for Human Revolution leaves us with a mixed feeling. On one hand, it's a very nice invitation to further dive into the formidable world of the game (both in stealth or rampage mode). On the other, we can't really say it brings anything new to the table, and the environment is quite tight, with some areas needed to be crossed back and forth. Metroid Prime 4 Beyond is undeniably a strong entry in the series. It captures the core elements that made the franchise a classic 18 years ago, while adding a few new twists. The joy of revisiting those nostalgic sensations in a fresh adventure is undeniable, but it also works against the game. Unlike Metroid Dread, which successfully modernized the series' formula, Metroid Prime 4 Beyond plays it safe, sticking to the familiar without taking bold risks. Beyond a few new abilities, features like the desert setting and the motorcycle feel lackluster, and its more linear, guided design feels like a step back compared to previous titles. However, Metroid Prime 4 still stands out as a highly enjoyable adventure, and arguably one of the most visually impressive games on the Nintendo Switch 2. Compared to most other licensed games out there, Toy Story 3 doesn't have to feel ashamed. Quite the opposite in fact. Indeed it is not technically beyond reproach, most notably because of a few frame rate issues when playing with a friend, but overall the formula holds its ground OK. The two main modes of gameplay complete each other nicely, and even though it's supposed to target kids, most adult gamers could very well be surprised. It's rich enough and well designed, and even though it has some gameplay flaws as well, it's still a decent adaptation of the movie : something not so common after all.- Gameblog.fr

Piczle Cross Adventure is a nice mix between adventure and puzzles, filled with a funny story and many secrets to uncover. But even with its 300+ Picross, the settings still lack of most traditional and obvious options. Still, fans of the genre should definitely have a look.- Gameblog.fr

Riders Republic tries to improve the Steep formula on many levels, but sometimes fails to really find its own way: by constantly soliciting the players with its trials, rewards, gears, modes and extras, Ubisoft Annecy's new formula sometimes forgets to let us enjoy the ride and its vast landscape.- Gameblog.fr

Banishers Ghosts of New Eden is a game that delivers a compelling love story that makes us want to see it reach its conclusion. The problem is that most of the other elements of the game take a backseat to the relationship between Antea and Red. Almost all of the secondary characters are not interesting and the main plot is forgotten in an anthology of problems to solve for the inhabitants of New Eden. This is not helped by a semi-open world whose exploration quickly proves boring. Fortunately, the fights are already proving more gripping, just like the famous Haunting Cases. You feel like a paranormal investigator, who must also make serious decisions that will have real consequences. We ultimately see that it is a game which has lots of good ideas, but which did not know how to execute them all in the right way.- Gameblog.fr

When Date Everything was announced, it was hard to know what to expect exactly. In conclusion, Sassy Chap has created a wild, but sincere dating sim that manages to be both funny and moving at the same time. Behind its unusual concept lies a gallery of carefully crafted characters, all of whom deserve to be known. A few concessions to aesthetics and even narrative are to be regretted, with the initial plot ultimately unfinished. Similarly, while the roster shines in terms of variety and inclusiveness, the sheer number of characters makes it hard to keep up. Despite this, fans of visual novels should appreciate this fresh approach served up by a well-known cast. It's just a pity it hasn't been translated into French.- Gameblog.fr

After such a long time away from the green, Mario's clubs could have been rusty. At first indeed, it seems this comeback only relies on the same proven physics engine and subtle gameplay. The swing technique didn't change at all, even with the alternative method intuitively based on touch. But rather than pursuing realism, Mario Golf : World Tour expresses its arcadish approach in an audacious way, through a cartoonish world filled with interactive elements from the Mushroom Kingdom and the addition of power-ups. This arsenal is ingeniously exploited by the courses design, driving golf to a new dimension liberated from the laws of gravity. An amazing and joyful interpretation of this sport that can finally be shared easily with friends or competitors online. Who would have thought that golf was so friendly ?- Gameblog.fr

Rock Band 4 doesn't changing much compared to the previous episodes, it adds the freestyle feature, which is really nice, but it doesn't put a lot of new ideas in its old formula... Thus said, it's still a fantastic rhythm game to play, alone and of course with friends, to get the complete band. The gameplay is nearly perfect and, above all, the game is compatible with your old instruments and all 1700 past DLC songs.- Gameblog.fr

It's always a nice feeling to wander across the vast plains and the ominous dungeons of Gransys during a large amount of hours, for the first time on a portable device here. Sadly, the low visuals and the technical issues of the handheld mode are kind of a bummer, the TV experience being as enjoyable as the previous editions of the game.- Gameblog.fr

Wario Ware Gold feels like the very best of the series to this day: with a few new mini-games and many old ones, this episode cannot hide the feeling of redundancy. But with its 300 microgames, many crazy modes and a ton of WTF gadgets, every player can now experience the craziness of Wario Ware. Too bad the hardcore crew already knows most of its content.- Gameblog.fr

By looking towards the western designs, while keeping the Japanese strong points, Dragon's Dogma will make a significant contribution to the ARPG genre. Its open world, beautiful mythic creatures and chara-design, and probably the best and most spectacular combat action of the genre, it draws players into its world, even though it's far from perfect. Indeed, the story fails to drive the player forward, and the world lacks life and soul, but the ton of good little ideas, the pawn system, and the overall ambition of the title make it fun nonetheless. Enjoying it also allows us to dream of a bright future for the Japanese creators who gave birth to this unusual game for their culture.- Gameblog.fr

Dying Light Platinum Edition on Switch is an impressive port of a - still - very good game. Going back or for the first time to Harran on the Nintendo console is relevant as it offers the same fun of open world-survival-parkour action with only a few issues - juste forget about playing on you TV. It's smooth, doesn't load so much and, as it is the complete version of the Techland game, offers tons of content to players in need of zombies and a bit of horror.- Gameblog.fr

Back in good shape last year, PES now confirms that it is a very good football simulation again. Of course, there is still some flaws here, but we will above all retain its increased AI, its improved and fluid gameplay, its new modes... and the challenges of the training mode appear to be a really nice touch.- Gameblog.fr

Sonic Colours is the best 3D Sonic since the Adventure iterations on the Dreamcast. Beautiful, nicely cinematic and with spectacular gameplay and level design, Sonic Colours is a big step in the right direction for the blue hedgehog. The Sonic Team was able to draw inspiration from the latest plumber's adventures from Nintendo to give new momentum to their character, and it's both a satisfaction and a relief to play with him again in such a satisfying way.- Gameblog.fr

Skylanders Trap Team offers a nice new feature with its monsters' capture possibilities. Kids will love it, even if it's not as interesting as last year's SWAP figures in terms of gameplay... and beware : you'll have to buy all the new Trap Team figures and all the new traps to finish everything. That could easily become a huge trap for your money.- Gameblog.fr
