After a pretty slow second episode Life is Strange 2 is back with a great middle piece. Circumstances force the two brothers to grow up in two different ways. Thanks to the interesting new characters, setting and tension this is the best episode to date.

What we have here is a good tale. Maybe it's not great or to the standard that people expect, but it's well worth the time of anyone who enjoys a good story, despite its slower pace.

The environment is lovingly rendered down to the most minute details, and it paints a full and clear picture of what life is like with your makeshift community in the California forest.

Life is Strange 2's third episode is the shortest so far, but that doesn't mean it doesn't still pack a punch.

Hearing the stories/getting to know the new characters who also work on the farm is nice, and there are a lot of parallels to Sean and Daniel’s situation. But it doesn’t feel like much happens, more that the episode is building for something that is going to happen later.

Life Is Strange 2 – Episode 3 won’t keep you busy that much. But you’ll have to make many decisions and all the choices really held shaping the two antagonists. A moving and well written piece.

I’m supposed to care about the drifters, which would make the ending of the episode all the more harrowing, but I never got enough time with them to care. Still, Episode 4 will be sure to strain some heartstrings, and in hindsight will probably make this episode a bit better, when it releases.

This episode gave me hope for the series after finishing it.
It was one of the best episodes of the entire franchise: the relationships, the freedom, a lot of impactful decisions and an episode with different endings, something that we haven't seen since Life is Strange 1 Episode 2 with Kate.

The best one so far. The story is still going strong, can't wait to see what happens next.

Great song choice with On Melancholy Hill by Gorillaz, D.A.N.C.E by Justice, and the ending song Natalie by Milk & Bone. The characters Cassidy and Finn were pretty great, I would have preferred one more episode of this, but sadly it was cut short. Going back to the song Natalie though, I believe it was by far the best ending of all 3 games with the most impactful song, the lyrics coincidentally fit in with the situation of the ending. Expand

    EPISODE 3:
to be honest it took me some time to write this review because the episode was really bad but really good at the same time let me explain why on one hand you got Daniel hitting the emo phase and being a real pain in the @#$ but you also got some character development with Shawn while Daniel is ruining everything and is not listening to you and basically made every bad thing happen in this episode Shawn is having fun with the new people he met and enjoying the little moments
again i really had mixed feelings about this episode so it really took me some time to write it down in conclusion this mass of an episode deserves a 6 nothing more nothing less i really wish that Dontnod Entertainment will step up with the writing because they only got two episodes left and its not looking good for now

It's funny that they managed to make me more invested in their stories than the protagonists'. At this point i would rather continue watching their story, but of course in the end they decided to take them all away just after 1 episode.

The only reason why giving this episode a 3 is that Daniel wasn't in the spotlight most of the time, which just shows what a bad job they did with the writing during the 2 episodes. Most people doesn't care about the story we got, so we are more interested in side character stories.

The choices are still just illusions, we can't really affect anything major in the story. Just a reminder: This is the sequel of the game that had Kate Marsh in it. Everyone who played LiS 1 knows what i mean.

The story is still going nowhere, which is just annoying. LiS 1 was full of interesting storylines. Kate Marsh, Chloe Price, Rachel Amber, Victoria, Nathen, Jefferson, David and more. LiS 2 has nothing. We have 2 kids who want to go to Mexico... great, but they are not progressing at all and everything that happens to them is completely irrelevant because at the end of every episode, they lose everything over and over again.

Such a shame. I still stand by my opinion. We needed the sequel of Chloe's and Max's story, not this story filled with nothing.

The location is also not changing.

Overall this seems like a desperate attempt to go back to the LiS gameplay after the fist two episodes where a complete disappointment.

They seem to have succeeded in that damage control, but overall this is once again a rather weak entry into the franchise because as with S2EP1 and 2 the game lacks direction and story.
