Great Tactical-RPG with a lot of depth, which brings an original way to discover the universe of T-RPG. Sadly the game does not deliver the main feature it tries to sell us: the online mode, which do not live up to its potential.- Gameblog.fr

Gunslinger wipes away the disappointment of the previous Call of Juarez. The affordable price of this shooter makes up for its short adventure and its shortcomings: mainly a poor AI and the lack of multiplayer. Its overall good storytelling, and the fitting cel shading of its visuals make up for those as well.- Gameblog.fr

To conclude their futuristic series, Ratchet & Clank focuses on gravity, in both senses of the word. It is applied not only to the tone through a desolate world, but also to the gameplay mechanics. Although such experiments give more freedom to explore the environment and develop new puzzles, they are too limited and, therefore, overshadowed by the unbridled evolution of the arsenal. This relentless quest for power takes the main role into the Nexus, making up for the briefness of the adventure. Let's hope that the next generation will help Insomniac Games to really move forward with this proven, yet aging formula.- Gameblog.fr

Planet Coaster 2 truly earns its status as a sequel, with the water attractions alone making it worth a closer look. The game promises to be a genuine leap forward in the theme park management genre, refining every mechanic, every detail from the first installment, while expanding possibilities even further. With more customization, more micromanagement, and deeper control over finances, visitors, and attractions, Frontier is delivering nothing short of a masterclass here.- Gameblog.fr

Transport Fever 2 is a game that will be appreciated in the long term. No doubt it will evolve over several years with a very dense content that will have to be explored. At a time when the player is taken by the hand systematically and where frustration is only little accepted by the players, TF2 asks you to dig, to search and to experiment. A little more information on how to manage railway flows and crossings would probably have benn a good idea. But the satisfaction of seeing that everything is working properly, the optimization of lines and routes are all rewards for your efforts. The fever is going up and it's not because you're sick.- Gameblog.fr

Did Milestone want to release his Ride 4 absolutely before the end of the year in order to finish the PS4 / Xbox One cycle? No one will probably have the answer in the near future. Still, if the game is improving well on technical aspects (graphics, modeling and AI) it has lost all the mood that its previous opus had managed to generate. It is now a game of motorcycles on circuits that merges into the category.- Gameblog.fr

Monster Hunter Stories comes back with a pretty good remaster on more platforms than only 3DS and mobiles, so that the full series can be enjoyed with its sequel, Wings of Ruin. Players who like RPGs such as Pokémon will find many hours of enjoyment taking care of their Monsties and levelling them up, something every fan of the Monster Hunter franchise always dreamed of. Sadly, the game can get pretty tedious and repetitive in the long run because of its gameplay loop and structure. Although this remaster gives a more modern take on its original visuals, adds english and japanese voiceovers, with all the DLCs, it doesn't really go beyond that. It is nonetheless a good way to wait for the very promising Monster Hunter Wilds coming in 2025n as long as you enjoy Pokémon-like games.- Gameblog.fr

Castle in the Darkness seems to have the best from the 8bit era. It's good-looking, plays fine, it has many bosses and secrets that people who loved playing this kind of games on NES will love. But it's also flawed by an erratic difficulty. There are too many instadeath spikes, sometimes impossible to notice, and checkpoints are sometimes really misplaced. Windjammers is identical to the game released 23 years ago, with one difference: it contains an online mode that gives it a new life. We would have liked a better network code and more flexibility in defining the match options, but for the rest everything is there. It's fast, nervous and extremely demanding in terms of reflexes. Those who have known it at the time will find back their sensations after only a few minutes of play. As for the solo mode, however, this version is so faithful to the original that it maintains its main flaw: except a short competition and a versus mode, there's nothing else.- Gameblog.fr

With a much lower pace than its competitors, in favor of its truly strategic (rather than tactical) approach, R.U.S.E. provides large-scale battles filled with subtlety, twists, and finesse, for its solo adventure and multiplayer alike. Its system of ruses, most notably, is absolutely brilliant for building up effective attack and defense strategies, especially when you're able to keep most of your real intentions concealed up to the very last minute. It's a game one needs to approach from afar, with the intelligence of a general, and a real soft gem in a world of brutish RTS games. Compared to most other licensed games out there, Toy Story 3 doesn't have to feel ashamed. Quite the opposite in fact. Indeed it is not technically beyond reproach, most notably because of a few frame rate issues when playing with a friend, but overall the formula holds its ground OK. The two main modes of gameplay complete each other nicely, and even though it's supposed to target kids, most adult gamers could very well be surprised. It's rich enough and well designed, and even though it has some gameplay flaws as well, it's still a decent adaptation of the movie : something not so common after all.- Gameblog.fr

Despite a certain lack of inspiration, the WarioWare company keeps having some ambition, potentially less lucrative than its greedy owner's. Thus Get It Together! favors efficiency over quantity with microgames by focusing on gameplay, customized for each - henceforth playable - character in order to provide different ways to play, yet in teams. The Switch's technological functions are therefore limited to the detachable controllers, a not so audacious approach for the franchise, contrary to the choice of such heterogeneous protagonists, reflecting the decidedly varied modes. Although this trilogy has been slightly downsized to venture into the portable universe, it's still worth playing on the Vita.- Gameblog.fr

Chorus is a worthy Space Shooter, with very enjoyable gameplay, even if gets repetitive at some point. The real let down is the story which is quite boring, and told through weird means, like the inaudible thaughts of Nara. But there is a demo available, so try it before you buy it.- Gameblog.fr

Aliens: Infestation is a nice little game that can really appeal to the lovers of the alien saga, thanks to its nice production, neat atmosphere and Metroid-like gameplay. It still rather short and repetitive, with a little lack of ambition.- Gameblog.fr

Genuinely designed and offering something so different from what can be played on the market, this game is the current meaning of addiction and replayability. There was a pre-Evolve, and without any doubt, there will be a post-Evolve.- Gameblog.fr

Call of Duty Black Ops is not the hottest episode in the series. It feels a bit rushed, as its campaign is too short and doesn't rely enough on its fresh ideas. Multiplayer doesn't offer enough maps and we can question weapons balance and netcode. Zombie Mode is probably the most satisfying thing, but we have to be patient, as new content is on its way.- Gameblog.fr

Apart from a few new features ("Owner" mode and body feints), the new Madden NFL 25 is very similar to previous episodes, it has very few surprises for its fans. EA Sports is saving time for the next-gen, and we should probably do the same.- Gameblog.fr

Don't be fooled: Hyrule Warriors is pure Dynasty Warriors within the universe of The Legend of Zelda. Fan service and repeatability are the best words to define this Koei Tecmo game. If you are more a Dynasty Warriors fan than a Zelda fan, play it, or else, beware.- Gameblog.fr

Completely aimed at eSport, Shootmania offers a gameplay that will not please everyone. The weapon system will be hated by many, loved by some, who will praise that skills is everything in this FPS. A good title but aimed at a niche market.- Gameblog.fr

Payday: The Heist is like a Left 4 Dead with cops and robbers, where we play the bad guys. It offers (at least on PC) a solid co-op experience, with an good atmosphere. Too bad there is no Versus Mode.- Gameblog.fr

Color Splash sure smells like fresh paint, but such a large fresco takes some time to spread as a whole. The high definition lets Paper Mario unfold spectacular artistic and narrative fantasies, while concealing the rather flat, artificial framework. And beyond the exhilarating practice of "hammer brushing", the extensive support of cards add a layer of strategy to the gameplay, slightly heavier though. Intelligent Systems still displays a masterful use of the design palette, picking just a few drops of action, platform and RPG to create its own tone for this stupendously magnificent story.- Gameblog.fr

It's always touchy when a license changes hands, but Warner Bros Montreal succeeds with Batman: Arkham Origins, the third and penultimate episode of the Batman: Arkham series started by Rocksteady. The risks were minimal, given how the Quebecois studio perfectly replicates Batman: Arkham City, one of the best games of this generation. But if reproducing perfection requires skills to propose a story, sense of rhythm and narration on the par with Arkham City was a challenge, they overcame it. Furthermore, with a nice multi-player mode and a gigantic length there's no doubt this Batman is a winner. A must have for fans and non-fans alike.- Gameblog.fr

In 4-5 hours time, we see and hear many beautiful things. And we feel that something is in the air. But even if there's some great lines and acting, stunning visuals and great audio, we can't help but feel that something is missing at the end to make this experience special.- Gameblog.fr

On Nintendo Switch, A Hat in Time is still a very good 3D platform-action game that will thrill even more those who have experienced the glorious hours of Rare on N64 or the arrival of the revolutionary Super Mario 64 on the Nintendo console. For others, the humor, the many ideas, the perfect rhythm should be enough to immediately seduce them.- Gameblog.fr

Tales of Hearts is a solid J-RPG, but clearly not the best in the series... and this PS Vita remake (the original game came out on DS seven years ago) is not improving it at all : the 3D graphics are actually less charming than the 2D was.- Gameblog.fr

The end of this third season is closing in, and Telltale Games definitely stepped up the craziness in this next to last episode. One can only appreciate it. The adventure is rich and diverse, the dialogues hilarious, and the supporting characters full of surprises, of which the plot itself doesn't lack at all. What more do you need from a point & click game?- Gameblog.fr

Sports Champions really offers a lot of good fun, either alone or with friends. Most of its games are technical and interesting to play (table tennis, frisbee and archery are excellent!). It also uses well the PlayStation Move, an impressive precision accessory that offers really good and realistic feelings. Still, the game lacks a bit of variety, events, game modes... and you will have to buy at least two PS Moves and a camera to play, which will probably makes you hesitate!- Gameblog.fr

As a current-gen upgrade rather than a remaster/remake, this PS5/Xbox Series version of Kingdom Come: Deliverance does its job well. It effectively utilizes the capabilities of the latest consoles to display the 2018 title smoothly in up to 4K resolution, complete with high-definition textures, even if these don't entirely mask the fact that it's an eight-year-old game. Thanks to its impeccable performance, this is clearly the best console iteration of Warhorse Studios' first title, despite the controls being generally less intuitive with a gamepad than with the PC keyboard/mouse combo.- Gameblog.fr

At the time of writing, my heart is in the balance, because it's still pretty damn great to have Lara back. Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered is undoubtedly the ultimate compilation for those who want to enjoy Lara's first adventures in the best possible conditions. For around thirty euros, you'll be able to enjoy almost forty hours of gameplay, with all the sensations of the time and content that will be new to many. Three really great adventures, with a few bonus levels and new features such as New Game Plus, which holds a few surprises in store, and some particularly devious challenges. On the other hand, there are also some major problems besides the lack of affordable gameplay. Even though the games are more beautiful than ever, not everything is rosy. Features are missing and, above all, there are still a host of technical problems, some of which are as old as the games themselves. A lack of finish or an almost masochistic desire to keep the games intact? A good question, but it's not always pleasant, not to mention the fact that while the graphical overhaul is certainly present, it can also detract from the experience by drastically changing the original ambience or revealing what was once hidden and should still have been. An eagerly-awaited return, but unfortunately not as perfect as hoped.- Gameblog.fr
