Silence is a superb adventure game. Visually gorgeous, it succeeds more with its charming story and atmosphere than with its pure point'n click skills (the game is really short and easy), but this is a beautiful trip, an interactive tale you'll maybe want to share with your kids.

Nintendo Switch Sports is the worthy heir of Wii Sports. With a tasty mix of nostalgic and innovative disciplines, the game capture the magic of the first two games in the series.

Mafia II: Definitive Edition is a remaster specially designed for nostalgic players fans of the original game. It is nice, pleasant visually speaking, the atmosphere is still efficient, until you see that some textures are poor, the animations are still stuck in 2010.

With Grandia HD Collection, GungHo had everything to succeed. And if both adventures still offers a strong experience, the game is filled with way too much bugs in every aspect to deliver a satisfying experience. Filled with errors, the new French translation rubs shoulders with crashes and audio inconsistencies. Too bad, because the gameplay mechanics are still interesting, decades later.

Avatar Frontiers of Pandora is a very good experience, if not a truly excellent one. Ubisoft wants to sell us a colossal AAAA, but the truth is that it's rather a solid AAA. It's based on excellent foundations, and has managed to personalize enough things we've seen everywhere else to draw us into its universe, but the most fussy will not be fooled, or will only be fooled for a few hours. The game quickly shows its limitations. Yes, the world is magnificent, the art direction borrowed from the movies is incredible, the music, always in keeping with the theme, takes your breath away and you enjoy the journey. The main storyline takes care of itself, as do the side quests. But the pacing problem and a number of other little things, such as a less-than-stellar FR dubbing, technical glitches and a shaky AI, quickly bring us back to reality. The game lacks polish, even though it's teeming with details that make it extremely faithful to the universe it's based on. All in all, an excellent adaptation, but also a good open-world action game.

Mirror's Edge Catalyst is definitely efficient when it comes to free running and how it feels good to be Faith in a beautiful and vast city full of challenges. But its story, A.I. and some other details are really bringing it down.

Let it Die could have been a good free-to-play Dark souls-like, but its pay-to-win nature will disgust you after a few hours, when the difficulty really goes up.

Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection offers in one game what all the series did the best so far, that's a fact. But the port is a bit lazy.

Just like the weather, Rain arouses different feelings. Some people may consider it as a melancholic, familiar phenomenon, while other might see it as a purely magical moment. Because at the end of the road, it's just a question of interpretation, like art.

Visually pleasant, Max: The Curse of Brotherhood is a clever platformer with brilliant gameplay mechanics. Even if a few sections can feel a bit frustrating and Max's controls are a bit disappointing, this game offers a good challenge for those who like puzzles. Xbox One owners should definitely have a look at it.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is clearly a better game than the first Xenoverse was. Its story and universe have been fleshed out and its gameplay has been polished. Unfortunately its technical limitations refrains it from reaching its full potential.

Nice at first glance, The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing suffers from some really annoying shortcomings that demote it from "nice" to "average".

FIFA 21 is not bad but it does not innovate at all the recipe initiated by FIFA 20. Very focused on the attack, the defense suffers from a significant imbalance, leaving the open door to matches filled with goals. It is a transitional opus, leaving known bases so as not to upset the players and thus draw great novelties for FIFA 22.

If Planet Alpha is not as good and powerful as Limbo or Inside, it is indeed a gorgeous game with some clever ideas. Without a word, it invites you to a Sci-Fi trip, with some great narration and mechanics, that you should not refuse.

Gato Roboto offers a synthetic and concentrated experience of a Metroid-like adventure. doinksoft game's ticks every boxes of the genre, delivering a high-speed rhythm all the same, but falling short after three little hours.

LEGO The Hobbit is a good game to play with your kids, but some of the new ideas implemented in the formula are quite annoying, and it's sometimes hard to understand what the game expects you to do. This is still quite a nice adaptation of the 2 first movies of the trilogy.

Undoubtedly prettier and more incisive, this WWE 12 still suffers from some deep technical issues that undermine the fun. Even though the gameplay really did benefit from an added dynamism, it lost in terms of precision and variety. The matches, are less enticing and more repetitive, and sometimes chaotic when there's more than 2 brawlers on the ring.

This post-apocalyptic science fiction adventure uses its own humor too much, but delivers an interesting story and good universe. There are some flaws, but we appreciate that there are different solutions to the same puzzle. Primordia is an interesting game that could have been a little more refined.

Styx Shards of Darkness is a good evolution of Styx's Universe, and it offers a lot of improvements. Better graphics, better gameplay mechanics... and always this sneaky and funny goblin! A good stealth experience, that still suffers some technical and AI issues.

Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin is an action-oriented RPG whose gameplay mechanics are almost entirely based on those of Nioh, one of the most prominent Dark Souls clones. The game is a bit outdated in its layout and it seems to come from another age.

Directive 8020 may not be the revolution some were hoping for, but it still stands out as an interesting evolution of The Dark Pictures formula. With this new title, Supermassive Games tries new things and experiments, offering us a narratively gripping adventure, though its gameplay unfortunately suffers from an approach that’s far too formulaic. It’s still a solid popcorn game, however, and will certainly appeal to fans of the genre and those who enjoy slightly goofy horror experiences.

Loaded with shortcomings, not really generous in terms of content, Brink still remains an FPS with some really neat ideas, mostly in the way it promotes good teamplay. If you have several buddies with whom to share the experience, and take the time to organize your strategy, you won't be disappointed. But even so, the clear lack of polish, the not-so varied environments and average technical side prevent it from being an excellent FPS; it's only a good one.

It's true for books or movies, and remains true for games as well: a good theme doesn't guarantee success. Unfortunately, even though Papo & Yo seems different and boasts an interesting tale and nice world, it fails in many gameplay ways, never quite able to transform its metaphor well enough for it to really shine.

The Inner World is a nice point'n click adventure game, but its illogical universe can be a problem in some puzzles.

When Ski Lifts Go Wrong by its original proposal seemed to have this little fun and crazy thing that makes the difference for this kind of games, it turns out to be boring in its complex handling, redundant in its execution and finally very little entertaining, except if you are passionate about engineering.

OK MXGP 2019 does the job and it does it pretty well. Evidenced by the new free mode offered to players. But the rest continues to capitalize on gains that are starting to age. Today, you have to create stories around the races and make them more realistic by reducing the line between the real and the virtual.

Colt Canyon is a fine half-twin-stick shooter/half-rogue-lite experience, varied enough to make us constantly switch between characters, weapons and approaches, trying to rescue a kidnapped partner in a pixel-based West Coast. While being quite short and sometimes more difficult to read, it still will please fans of both genres.

Terror is back with A Machine for Pigs. Its story is a little bit disjointed at times, but it knows how to be moving as much as unhealthy. The great sounds let us forget about the defects of this new Amnesia: the engine is getting old, the gameplay is too simplified and the game is even shorter... but fear prevails!

With gorgeous visuals (and some bugs, as usual), Assassin's Creed Unity is more an evolution than a revolution, but what it changed it did it right, giving a new stealth approach and adding a fresh experience with the co-op missions.

Gray Matter entails thanks to a very good story from Jane Jansen, with good characters and rich situations. But the gameplay will be a disappointment for point & click fans. Too easy, it also suffers from some real flaws in design, shortcomings that have a knack for killing an atmosphere that the production values already have trouble to maintain... If the story is all that matters to you, then it's well worth playing.

The expansion takes place on the Xylourgos planet, a surprising but welcome mix of Lovecraft and nordic cultures. It offers a great deal of action, guns and new creatures, but its gameplay and narration lack uniqueness, letting untapped potential.

Forced is a mix of hack'n slash and puzzles, and it does the job in a rather effective way. You will enjoy it more in coop mode (up to 4 players) than in solo mode, but beware of the frustration: the game is extremely difficult.

As a puzzle game or an introduction to programming, Human Resource Machine does a really good job, although everyone might not prove up to the task.

They didn't risk too much for this last iteration. Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock is mostly designed for the gamer fan seeking the Full Combo thrill. Its production values are more than fair, its playlist well furnished, and you can always import tracks from other versions for a small price. If you're fond of the tracklist, you can get it; if you're more like me, expecting more innovations, and expecting to play the plastic guitar somewhat more like you'd play the real one, maybe you'd better wait for its main competitor.

Sega. The Yakusa series team. Stereotyped and super trained Mercs, looking forward to making their way through 2080's Tokyo. And robots. Everything was there to make an explosive and virile shooter. But instead, as its absolutely random title should have told us, Binary Domain ends up being only a globally passable game, wanting to succeed but often too close to an industrial misunderstanding.

Dungeon Siege III is a perfect example of an average game. Not quite pretty, but not ugly either, with a dull plot but one that is not as insipid as some others from poor JRPGs, and a wimpish gameplay that remains ok for the gamers that don't really want to be asked for too much effort. Multiplayer and liking of the global atmosphere will be the two decisive criteria in deciding whether you'll see a half-empty or half-full cup when contemplating DS3.

This Disney version of Art Academy is a nice one, even if it's complicated to be precise enough with the stylus.

Vandals is basically the graffiti version of Hitman GO. Well executed and nice to play, but not very original and quickly repetitive.

2K chose to focus on the basics with Major League Baseball 2K11, without trying to innovate too much. But the result remains a simulation-oriented game that works really well, blessed with excellent production values, a great atmosphere, and an ergonomic management system for the teams. It still lacks the fresh and innovative ideas to become the definitive Baseball simulation that will shower your living-room with action-packed games.

Stranger's Wrath was indeed a pure gem when it released in 2005, was very welcome on other systems and you can have the fondest memories of it. But the stranger looks and feels very old as it comes back on Nintendo Switch. It still has a good heart but doesn't really shine anymore in terms of graphics or gameplay. Still, it has this fantastic western atmosphere. And it is a part of video games history that has to be known. But mostly that makes us hope for some kind of makeover, Abe style.

Borderlands 2 VR is a very good game that can still be enjoyed in VR, but it lacks some alternative controls and its multiplayer to fulfill its potential.

Hokuto Ga Gotoku is clearly one of the best, if not the best, Fist of the North Star video games. Using the Yakuza system was a good idea as it fits with the FOTNS like a glove. It's just too bad that the game runs on Yakuza 0's and not Yakuza 6's engine.

Slightly above average – that's ultimately what My Hero Academia: All's Justice deserves in our opinion. We did have a good time playing it, being fans of the anime, and the game does it justice, even if it's not perfect. It's a far cry from the disaster that was Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash. But to recapture the brilliance and popularity of the Ninja Storm series, they'll need to deliver something much better in the future.

Serial Cleaner is engaging (and laughably gory) stealth game with an awesome atmosphere, easy to pick up and play. Too bad it lacks variety to feel great from start to finish.

Until Dawn: Rush of Blood is one of the best PlayStation VR launch games. It offers simple but efficient gameplay, a strong atmosphere... and can be really terrifying at times.

Earth Defense Force 5 is the best episode of the franchise. The game is always very fun, with a lot of monsters and spaceships to destroy, alone or with friends. There is a lot of content, and despite graphics that feels old, and a lot of repetition, it's still a very good and satisfying game.

Sonic The Hedgehog Episode 4 seems to be more of a Sonic the Hedgehog 1.2 (calling it "A.5" would put it too close to the brilliant Sonic 2...). The levels don't surprise, the soundtrack bores, and more importantly the blue hedgehog's inertia and dullness make it a real disappointment in 2010. We'll try not to resent it too much, since it's a rather cheap downloadable game, but it's still a very short game as well. Love is blind, so some may still enjoy it, but we'd rather advise them to try out the DS games, which are closer to today's expectations of a 2D journey with the supersonic hedgehog.

This is simply a republished version of the Ninja Gaiden Sigma released on the PS3, only dampened in terms of gore, slightly easier, and not really perfect frame-rate or visuals-wise.

Dead or Alive 6 is a very good fighting game, with a lot of game modes, but you must be aware that you'll have to pay more to make the game more complete with costumes and fighters.

Technically one of the most successful AR games we have ever seen. It works perfectly, and seeing this book coming to life on the TV screen is a delight even for our adult eyes ... But of course it is dedicated to children (6 to 10 years)! They will be even more delighted when they take the magic wand in their hands and try to learn the most famous Harry Potter spells (the "adventure" is set in the same universe, thanks to a collaboration with JK Rowling). Too bad the game is so short, so repetitive and leaves us a little hungry once completed. When all the spells are learned we would like to put them into practice in an real adventure or a series of mini games, but no. A very good start for the Wonderbook anyway, full of promise. We are looking forward to get the next games using it.

With a game like Never Alone, the grade system has its limits. Anyone who will be transported by this timeless story, escaped from a storybook, will probably forgive the various gameplay issues... the others probably won't.

Republique isn't perfect, as it suffers some problems like a poor AI, but it still offers a nice story and an original infiltration gameplay.

Vampyr is a good surprise, with a delightful poetic and gothic atmosphere, a clever story and a satisfying system of choices. Sadly, its combat system is crippled by its locking mechanics especially, and most of the fights are not wall balanced. Despite this, Vampyr is a really good action-RPG.

With Tetrobot & Co., Swing Swing Submarine focuses on pure puzzle mechanics, and doesn't mix them with platform elements like in Blocks That Matter, their previous game. The result is successful as the game is really enjoyable to play, with a more balanced difficulty that lets you progress from level to level, but still offers a lot of challenge if you want to master all of them.

Jack the Ripper is a good DLC for Assassin's Creed Syndicate, as it offers an interesting story and a "nice" atmosphere within its main Jack the Ripper missions. It's a shame that nearly all the side missions can't convince as much.

Miitomo marks the beginning of My Nintendo, the successor of Club Nintendo. The Fans of Big N have found their own social network. However we must recognize that this is pretty funny. We hope that Nintendo will rapidly improve this new baby, though very promising!

Particularly complicated release for F1 24, which is trying as best it can to catch up at the last minute with the deployment of its update 1.3 aimed mainly at correcting the enormous physics problems. The career mode, complete, pleasant and immersive, fortunately serves as a pillar for a title which gives us the unpleasant sensation of playing an early access game designed on the basis of F1 23, the fault of the low number of real new features which, for the most part, don't even seem complete. Unchanged graphics, 4 reworked circuits, generic VR, bugs that still persist and physics still being modified following player feedback... at the time we are writing this test, it seems very complicated to recommend the purchase of the game compared to its predecessor , and even more so at the maximum price of €80. EA now has a lot to do to quickly correct an F1 24 which despite everything has interesting potential, but which suffers enormously from its far too rapid pace of release, where an annual update between two opuses would allow the teams to breathe to offer a real game over.

Dreamlike and original, Light Fall misses its point by being unsteady form start to finish. If the nice Shadow Core mechanics might charm you during the first moments of the game, its level design and very short adventure will not last long in the mind of every platformer addict. However, speedrunners might like the dedicated mode, which works nicely for those interested by emergent gameplay.

Bone of contention among fans, Resident Evil 5 is unexpectedly the best selling game of the franchise. Regardless of this, the Switch edition of the title is very satisfying, as it's quite as beautiful as the original game but in a portable device this time. It also contains all of the DLC and the multiplayer modes of the Gold Edition released on the other consoles on the market.

Marvel vs Capcom Infiinite is a good and fun game, with nice simplified mechanics and a really cool story mode. Too bad its roster lacks some iconic fighters like the X-Men at launch.

The Great War Western Front is a unique game. The game seems to be constantly juggling between historical veracity and the obligation to make it a playful work.

If you have not played the game since its release, Heavy Rain Move Edition is the perfect opportunity to do so. Its price is reduced and it contains all the released bonuses (DLC, soundtrack, PS3 themes) in addition to an all new 45' long making-of video. However, the PS Move controls (the main new feature) are very disappointing... But nothing prevents you to take your trusted Dual Shock back, and discover a truly exceptional game.

We were really hoping for something amazing with Fire Emblem Heroes and, at first, we believed it was going to deliver a great Fire Emblem experience. Sadly, the more you dive in it, the more you understand that it is a classic gacha game without any deep gameplay mechanic. Furthermore, it costs so much in-game currency and REAL money to grow a strong team that you will have to stop playing because you have anymore money on your bank account anyway.

Dead Rising 4: Frank's Big Package is the Xbox One version with all its additional content - that need a 17Go file to download. It is still a fun action game that runs smoothly on PS4 and offers some interesting modes beside its solo campaign.

As good as it is bad, Pokemon Violet & Scarlet doesn't do anything lightly. For the first time in the series, we experience a pure freedom. Paldea is very huge, Pokemon are numerous and it has never been so exciting to complete your Pokédex. However, the technical aspects are a pure disaster. Instead of being a Nintendo Switch must-have, this 9G starts is just a hyper addictive okay game.

Dragon Ball Fusions offers a fresh new take on Dragon Ball video games. Thanks to its fun new concept and its healthy dose of fan service, the game deserves to be on fans' (Dragon) radar.

10 Second Ninja is a nice action game which features good controls and addictive challenges. It's structured like Angry Birds but is not recommended to casual players.

We were expecting feverishly to discover what Rocksteady had in store to draw us back in Akrham City. In the end, it feels a little too much like a reheated dish, despite the welcome presence of the Boy Wonder. It lacks surprises in terms of story or otherwise, and even the nice grim touche of the general tone isn't enough to quench the thirst we had for something a little bit newer.

Battletoads has a great look, and a lot of different gameplay sequences, but most of them are boring and too long.

Empire of the Ants is an original experience that combines real-time strategy with nature exploration, immersing players in the life of an ant within a miniature world. Powered by Unreal Engine 5, the game offers impressive, detailed visuals enhanced by an orchestral soundtrack that deepens the immersion. However, while the visuals are superb and unique, the gameplay sometimes feels too simplistic, especially during real-time strategy phases. Nonetheless, it remains a good experience, utterly fascinating for anyone with even a slight interest in nature.

Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom could have been a great game. Its touching characters and well crafted gameplay make it a good game, blessed with a distinct personality. That's always something, but the concept lacks any sort of innovation. Even though you've most probably already played something very similar, you'll probably cruise through the 15-or-so hours of the game with ease, to discover the end of this friendship story.

Unless they have developed a sudden passion for the hardcore action RPG genre, PC gamers who were not customers of last year edition will not suddenly fall in love with this one. As for Xbox 360 gamers, they can probably consider giving it a chance, now that he does have frame-rate problems anymore and offers nice reworked graphics. Finally, the fans will be delighted for sure by this new, very long campaign.

Carried by the Layton family's experience in mystery, Katrielle starts her detective career with modern resolutions, such as the episodic investigation proceedings. But the cases and their protagonists ultimately lack depth, while the whole plot looks like a long introduction. The puzzles and mini games also appear less inspired, or bold, since Kat solves the most relevant riddles by herself anyway. Let's hope that she's keeping more tricks in her hat for the upcoming adventures.

Battlefield Hardline manages to mix the teamplay of former episodes to the fast-paced rhythm of a Call of Duty. And kudos to Visceral Games in succeeding to deliver an effective solo campaign. Only regret, the game is not as nice-looking as its predecessors.

Capcom Beat'em Up Bundle includes 7 good games from the nineties that will surely remind a lot of memories and entertain you, especially with friends. The online features are welcome, but that's all. No remarkable bonus.

Without the existence of Dead Rising 2, Off the Record would have probably be worth a better review score, but the common material with the previous game is a little too much not to think that Capcom simply played its recycling card again. Indeed the game is cheaper than the previous episodes, but it's not enough to justify the pruchase if you already did the second one.

One of the best episodes of the series. As we keep on wondering what is best for Clem and have to take more difficult decisions, our heroin becomes the true boss of this group which is not really in good shape. More tension, people coming, other leaving, shocking deaths : the last episode is going to be exhausting.

As expected, Picross S5 is just a new batch of brand new puzzles (a total of 485). There is nothing really new, except a feature to see how much time you spent to complete each mode, but fans of this puzzle franchise won't care, they just need more grids. And they'll have them.

Just like Disneyland, such a collection of entertaining attractions filled with fan service will delight children, but the repetitiveness of those activities and the lack of narrative reveal this magical world's superficial nature, even more obvious to the grown-ups, unless they still enjoy wearing ear hats.

Bound is such a poetic and different game. Sure its gameplay is minimalist, but the journey is quite dazzling.

LEGO Marvel's Avengers is clearly the best MCU movie adaptation to date. That being said it unfortunately isn't the best LEGO title. The game is fun to play and respectful to the source material but sadly doesn't feel as epic as it could have been.

Steep has both strong qualities and strong flaws. It offers a gigantic and beautiful open-world, where you can teleport everywhere without a single loading screen, excellent board-sport sensations, nice tricks system... but the UI is a mess, the progression is muddled and repetitive, and the multiplayer really lacks ideas and polish.

Despite its lack of content, Job Simulator is one of the most exciting and fun PlayStation VR experiences.

The Dark Pictures: Little Hope is the most successful Supermassive studio's Game. The themes and the cast are more interesting than usual, and the moment with Little Hope is pretty pleasant.

The Saints Row series isn't renowned for the outstanding performances of its 3D engine but the Switch version of the game is the final straw, specifically in portable mode: aliasing, tearing and visuals bugs are still there. We can't say the same about the standalone Gat out of Hell. However, the game is still really fun to play.

Ride 3 is without a doubt the best episode of the series. It points in a very positive direction for the future of the franchise that could actually stand out as a Gran Turismo for bikes. However, there are still efforts to be made to achieve this, just as a rough diamond must be carefully crafted to truly shine. That said, Ride 3 holds high the flame of motorcycle passion. Enough so that all fans of motorcycling can go for it fearless. Gentlemen, start your engines.

Cutting these venerable NES games into challenges helps to learn their gameplay mechanics and relive some memorable moments, while the Remixes refresh this experience through surprising presentation tweaks and principles twists. But NES Remix lacks inspiration and consistency to stand as a definitive tribute to this fundamental era.

Styx is a good surprise for infiltration's fans.

Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 reminds us why the Blue Bomber fell in the nineties. With only four titles included, the compilation runs short, especially when compared to the first one. Only hardcore fans will enjoy its many bonuses and challenges.

A true pleasure to return to Titan Quest 11 years later. A good surprise from THQ Nordic in 2017. This game is a true nostalgic breath of fresh air for many PC players. Is it a sign for a come back of the license, perhaps with a Titan Quest 2? In all cases, this DLC is a great job with very interesting new specialisation and a fascinating lore.

This second Zone of the Enders remains the charming game that it was but this new version, that can played in VR, brings no added value, not even offering the Japanese VO or subtitles written correctly.

The concept, gameplay, challenge and atmosphere of Choplifter HD are quite good. It is a nice trip back in the 80's, even if it is far from being a must-have today, as the game is particulary repetitive and its price is quite high.

Tales of Xillia 2 is better than the first episode, even if it takes too much stuff directly from it, which could be disappointing for the fans. Anyway the story is still interesting and the fighting system is really cool.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 builds on the qualities of the first episode and removes its flaws to finally offer a massive and frenetic Dynasty Warrior's-like beat'em all... A genre that has its limits, but fans of the One Piece series will be delighted to find a new original story, 36 playable characters and many things to unlock.
