Deus Ex The Fall is a rather nice attempt at pushing a Deus Ex experience on touch devices; it works, but not flawlessly. With a less than stellar level design, some annoying bugs, and limited branching, The Fall seems to make the most of less than ideal devices, but do not think for a minute that it can go on par with the real thing on a full-fledged console or PC. Still very nice to play, though, as a point of entry to the series or a quick fix until a real sequel to Human Revolution.

With local or online play, and StreetPass features, the multiplayer side of Mario Tennis Open rivals, at last, the one of the home console versions. Sure, the usual RPG side we had on the portable versions didn't make the cut, thus diminishing the quality of the solo mode to some extent, but the AI quality and the collection side make up for it. With accessible yet deep gameplay, Mario Tennis will appeal to all Tennis fans.

Demon Slayer: The Hikonami Chronicles is a bit lacking where it had everything to succeed: with a faithful representation of the characters of the anime, it does not go further, with an empty environment, dated textures and a technique that smacks of old, even on next-gen consoles, not to mention a cruel and glaring lack of variety in the action. But he has for him a model more than faithful to the anime and a combat system as simple as it is effective, which will appeal to the greatest number, despite a weak roster and great confusion in the action when several people are fighting at the same time. A game of average quality after all, for fans and for those who want to easily take their eyes off between combos.

Revolution revived the Broken Sword with The Serpent's Curse, which is rudely divided (we could say "broken") in two parts. This first episode of the investigation is pleasant to follow, and even a little easy, it offers some of what fans expect from this point & click series: the humor of unusual characters and a funny world of clichés, but it misses the dark fantastic side, pushed back to the next episode. Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series is the first Oculus game to arrive on PlayStation VR. Divided into 3 episodes of approximately 45 minutes each, it offers an original story located between episodes 4 and 6 of the saga, in the presence of the Sith Lord Dark Vader on the planet Mustafar. On PS4 Pro, the experience displays very nice graphics, of course before the Oculus Rift version but quite similar to that of the Quest. Unfortunately, the teleportation and the angular rotation imposed in an unfair way, also spoil the immersion and some sequences in automatic movement allow to appreciate the environments at their true value. The proximity of the various characters is however pleasant; a handful of force fights are memorable but it all ends far too quickly. If this chapter has a lifetime much shorter than the first episode, there's much more endings. Darker than the first chapter, this second episode is nevertheless fun to play. We hope that the new ones will arrive in a few weeks, not a few months.

Blackguards is the Dark Souls of Tactical RPGs. Hardcore gamers will love its incredibly high difficulty, but most players will rage-quit.

Despite its promise to be a noir investigation in the heart of Paris, Night Call focuses way more on its narrative and brilliant part, at the expense of the mystery itself. Yes, the iconic characters you drive from a neighborhood to another is beautifully written, but we would have hoped to play a real part trying to find the culprit.

We would have loved to like Project Zero 4: The Mask of the Lunar Eclipse which, let's face it, is still above the fifth installment. But now, by choosing the path of the remaster, Koei Tecmo prevents the game from erasing its defects of yesteryear. Between the race which is akin to walking, the worries in moving, the slowness to pick up even an object, the title drags more than a ball. As it stands, like Project Zero 5, it would have needed a remake. Besides that, the catchy scenario, the atmosphere and even the basic concept are more flattering arguments. A game that is primarily aimed at fans who would not have had the opportunity to make this episode, and who can now enjoy it in VOSTFR with a very good Japanese soundtrack.

NBA 2K21 gives us the same observation as that established a year earlier with NBA 2K20: that of stagnating within the saga, without any real major improvement. But this time, the few bets attempted by the development studio have the main consequence of serving the game, at least in its first approaches and making it even a little less accessible to the general public. A quality episode certainly, despite its flaws, but not up to expectations. We could expect better for a transition to the new generation of consoles.

Zoo Tycoon is making a nice return on Xbox One, even if it is difficult to define its identity, between light management features and Kinect interactions, which are certainly adorable, but lack of interest in the long term.

A classic but nicely designed Tower Defense game. with few modes of play. There is some balance issues, but for a newcomer in the genre, its difficulty might prove interesting.

This is clearly for kids who have too much energy to spend. But some movements are quite complicated, and can prove to be tedious and frustrating, even for kids. It's ok for one hour of play, but kind of loses its appeal beyond that.

If you've played de Blob 2 back in 2011, there's no need to play this PS4 port. Even if you liked it back then. Almost no changes have been made to the game and none of its weak points have been improved. de Blob 2 is an average platformer at best. Cool soundtrack though.

The Hong Kong Massacre is the kind of game you'd love to love. It's a very pleasant arcade twin stick shooter that makes us more than efficiently feel like we are in a John Woo movie. But it quickly shows its limits, as new ideas or mechanics never show up to give us more than expected.

Star Wars Battlefront II draws a line from the past of the license. Complete overhaul of the space combat system, disappearance of the walker mode, addition of classes, significant content at the launch, various objectives, addition of a solo campaign. Everything we have expected in the first one is finally here. Only the cash shop and the feeling of shooting (little bit spineless) are problems. Despite that we have in front of us a complete Star Wars game, especially with best the SW space combat since the X-Wing series.

Kill La Kill - IF is a pretty descent fighting game, with a good but very simplistic gameplay, a new alternative story well told, but the lack of content is obvious. Fans only.
