KIRO'O Games has made a truly convincing first game. Not a perfect one, as fights can quickly become a little too repetitive. But a truly charming one, with some efficient writing, lovely characters and magnificent art style.

For a first shot at making a TPS game respectful of the original Warhammer 40K license, Relic managed to deliver a nice game. The solo campaign still lacks ambition and tends to choose the easy way over the more varied one, with a 100% action centric gameplay, but its fury and playability still brings a lot of fun. It would have been nice, though, to be able to enjoy a little more in that regard. In terms of multiplayer, Relic did a good job as well, even though only one of the couple of modes wields enough tactical elements to last in the long run. So all in all, it's a nice translation of the license in the TPS genre, but not one that would stand on its own without the rich GamesWorkshop universe.

Cities in Motion is a game about the edification and management of public transportation in four major european cities. The management side is not so easy, and you will have to master the different elements of the game in order to avoid bankruptcy. In terms of creation, CiM could have been a little more enjoyable in terms of controls, and visuals. For 20 euros, it still can fulfill the needs of the fans, until a more ambitious titles arises.

Sold at quite a reasonable price, Sorcery is a very nice little game for kids, with nice music melodies, pretty environments, and fun gameplay mechanics. The PS Move still remains somewhat imprecise sometimes (even though the game does most of the targetting for you), but the most important shortcoming of the game is probably its lack of variety.

A good episode delivering a large environment, a quite long mission, lots of NPC - not as bright as they should be - and some good opportunities to shine as a silent assassin and enjoy it.

Looking at the big picture, A Fisherman's Tale has an original and absorbing gameplay, as well as an interesting story, brilliantly narrated. However, the collisions bugs and the shortness of the main story spoils a little bit the experience.

Loaded with shortcomings, not really generous in terms of content, Brink still remains an FPS with some really neat ideas, mostly in the way it promotes good teamplay. If you have several buddies with whom to share the experience, and take the time to organize your strategy, you won't be disappointed. But even so, the clear lack of polish, the not-so varied environments and average technical side prevent it from being an excellent FPS; it's only a good one.

Minecraft Dungeons can be considered as a good way, for kids, to try a dungeon-crawler. Very cute, very simple, efficient, that game just lacks some depth and tasks that would urge players to keep on playing after finishing the, quite short, main campaign.

Splice is a puzzle game where you manipulate genes to get to the desired shape. With 7 "levels" of 7 puzzles each, you need to first understand the logic behind the molecules and the way to move them, then play with special ones, and finally go against the limited amount of "splices" you can perform. It's a nice game, supported by a very nice music, but it would probably be best suited for touch screens.

The main pleasure is the fact that we have to face huge hordes of zombies. The feeling of surprise we can have during the movie of 2013 is intact. The main problem is the lack of content (not enough levels and chapters).

Fe softly fulfills its promise of delivering a charming adventure with a strong visual design. The game manages too keep its good ideas fresh, thanks to a double-powered system served by an well executed open world. On the other hand, Fe suffers from a stiff jump chart and a perfectible collision mechanics. But by balancing exploration and renewed puzzles, Sweden-based Zoink's game still deserves a decent ride.

This 3DS version of Hyrule Warriors offers exactly the same experience as its Wii U counterpart (except a logical graphical downgrade) but it adds new characters and missions, and especially an interesting new fairy mode. The result is still the same: Zelda fans will love it or not depending on their judgement about the repetitiveness of the Dynasty Warriors formula.

LEGO Jurassic World is a new success in the LEGO video games franchise. This world is gigantic and filled with secrets. Any fan of the movies will enjoy its references and humor.

Obsidian delivers a first DLC that matches their Fallout: New Vegas : tense, captivating, despite its linearity. With a tiny bit more difficulty! Once more, we'd almost forget about the aging 3D engine of Bethesda and the poor AI. I experienced it like a little pen & paper RPG scenario of a single night. My thanks to the Obisidian Game Master.

Contra: Operation Galuga very quickly fell low. Not for its difficulty even arduous in Easy, because it is the DNA of the game. But for its lack of content and interest over time. The absence of online co'op and crossplay, which would have taken this game a certain step, is unacceptable, even more so when the positioning of the title for purchase is around 40 euros. Hardcore fans of the license and over scoring (not even enough to compare these stats with other players or have a world ranking, pfff) will sign at the bottom of the page. The others… not sure they read this whole contract.

A very nice platformer, with great controls and a decent challenge for a small price.

Ronin is an interesting stealth game, with a clever gameplay that combines turn-based and real time. Too bad it suffers from a certain lack of precision and a feeling of repetition, but it's still a fun game.

Even twelve year after its original release on the Dreamcast, Jet Set Radio is still a must-have, blessed by an incredible soundtrack and visuals that didn't age much, thanks to the cel shading rendering.

Once again, this Musô title will be hated by many, and loved by a few. It's a very nice cross-over for fans of this beat'em all offspring, but one that will not appeal more to people who don't understand how others can enjoy playing Dynasty Warriors-like titles. But Warriors Orochi 3 knows how to please the fans.

Road 96 Mile 0 is a rather nice dive into the dystopian universe. The prequel suffers from its classical aspect and loses everything that made its predecessor so special and instead brings musical sections that are rather boring and imperfect on consoles. A game that nevertheless manages to shine at times thanks to its soundtrack, its pop atmosphere and its staging that is sometimes really impressive.

Beyond a Steel Sky is a a worthy follow-up to the original game. Its story, characters, atmosphere and puzzles are truly enjoyable and its comic book visuals are totally fitting. It's just too bad that it doesn't feel well polished and that some people will, more than surely, have some headaches because it's sometimes really tough to know what the next objective is.

This free-to-play version of Tekken is a very good deal on the PSN. Of course it is free... but it also features beautiful graphics, more accessible gameplay and a lot of online gamers available to compete with.

Always full of humor and still fun to play, this new Inazuma Eleven is not so new, except in its story. Only the biggest fans and the newcomers should buy it.

CounterSpy has style, but its lack of depth is its weakness.

Kingdom Hearts Unchained X is a very good surprise. None was expecting it, but it does a great job entertaining both Kingdom Hearts lovers and casual players looking for a good F2P experience on smartphones. Hardcore fans will be disappointed by the lack of challenge in the game's missions and by the lack of interesting end-game content.

Yo-Kai Watch 2 is far from being a bad game: its storyline is pretty entertaining and rather funny if you are fine with comedies made for 10 years old kids. However, the gameplay mechanics are not as good as we are used to with Pokemon games, especially the fighting mechanics, which become quickly boring.

A good opportunity to discover the Naruto SUNS titles. But if you already own SUNS 4 GOTY who was released a few month ago, you should move on...

With "Fractured Mask," Telltale Games offers a satisfying third episode. Bruce "Batman" Wayne has a lot on his plate and it's getting harder and harder for him to please everybody without blowing his cover and revealing his secret identity. Unfortunately for non-English speakers, the game wouldn't start with French subtitles enabled.

Chaos on Deponia is an excellent point and click game that really suits PS4 - which was already the case with Deponia. It is visually superb and displays some fantastic arts and is really fun. We wish it could have brought some bonus like artworks with it.

Naruto SUNS Trilogy contains three good games, but the graphical quality of this port is not really what we expected, especially in TV mode.

By mixing the shooter genre will the old versus fighting mechanics, Rival Megagun delivers an interesting experience that might seem curious to players looking for a brand new old-school experience. With its tiny roster falling short, Rival Megagun will still deliver fun duels, thanks to its fury gauge that will make each fight different and interesting. Too bad its short solo mode and terrible character design weighs down the game, which still delivers beautiful 2D sprites and background.

Ultimate Fishing Simulator is a great way to start virtual fishing on PC. It is one of the most beautiful games of its kind, if not the most beautiful.

Saints Row The Third, like many games from the past generation, made its way to the Switch. And it appears unfortunately technically very old. Nevertheless, Saints Row remains fun and a good punching bag.

Halo Wars 2 is a good RTS for those who wants to discover the genre, but for old-timers, it is still too classic and lacks depth.

Whether the face revealed by a zombified Mini Mario is fresh or not, the mechanics of Tipping Stars are mostly old, but they still shine through this brilliant lesson of level design. Then aspiring - and inspired - puzzle builders can give their own interpretation to the community, stimulated by an even more gratifying workshop. Surely a t(r)ip towards the seventh heaven for all brain teasing games' lovers.

Scorn is a game with a terrific art direction that is directly inspired by the creator of Alien, H.R Giger, but also the works of David Cronenberg. An incredible ode to Hans Ruedi Giger that fails on every other level. Combats aren't good and necessary, and puzzles are too often base on the same mechanic. A VR version could have made the ride perhaps less tedious.

Despite the prospect of discovering the verdant lands of Ireland, it's hard to really get excited after a dozen hours spent on Wrath of the Druids: this first expansion of Assassin's Creed Valhalla is content despite a handful of novelties to recycle the formula of the main adventure, which may quickly tire those who have already completed it. While waiting for The Siege of Paris, which we hope will be much more inspired, we will advise the conquerors to go about their business quietly, while waiting for better and less cloudy days.

On paper, Code Vein 2 takes what made the first game unique and expands upon the formula in an Elden Ring-style open world to tell a brand new, ambitious story about time travel to save the world. However, the reality is far less appealing, from the dated graphics and clunky technical aspects to the frustratingly sluggish combat. If you truly loved its predecessor, you might be able to overlook its significant flaws and play for dozens of hours. Otherwise, we strongly advise you to wait for at least performance patches, or even a price reduction.

This fourth episode is a little short, but it concludes very well a series in which the script, dialogues and atmosphere are the highest qualities.

Lumino City is a nice puzzle game with an incredible art direction, but some of its puzzles can be wearisome.

WRC 7 rectifies the flaws of its predecessor. It's a good rally game that is still not perfect, but it will especially suffer from the great competition that is announced this year, with a lot of big racing games coming out.

Maquette has something special. It delicately tells a very credible story with some clever puzzles mechanics and brilliant emotional moments - thanks to the performance of Bryce Dallas Howard ans Seth Gabel. But it's flawed by some painful pacing issues and some other problems that prevent it from being truly memorable.

Criticism without nuance of the consumer society and the deadly routine of the employee, Mosaic develops a style, a subject but remains an extremely harsh experience. Difficult to recommend it as a video game, its final form seems more suited to that of a short film, the interaction is already extremely limited.

Pokémon Unite is an easy to play and well-designed MOBA that inventively translates mechanics of its license to adapt them to the genre. While Pokémon fans will enjoy playing this game, MOBA enthusiasts aren't the primary target since its casual aspect prevails.

Mother Russia Bleeds is a very good beat'em all with an original gameplay and a great retro artistic direction.

This HD Collection is far from perfect. Even though the two episodes it boasts are still cult games, the remastering suffers from frame rate drops, some shocking sequences have been tuned down, and the voice-over have been replaced with a new, but lesser version. If you have access to the originals, it's better that way, but if you have no choice, it's still two major titles for horror fans.

The story of Nilin lasts maybe 10 hours, but will endure past the end credits. There are some shortcomings in terms of gameplay, indeed, but its storytelling, brilliant art direction, and impeccable, yet frightening vision of the future will most definitely remain branded in your memory for years to come.

This first DLC for BioShock Infinite keeps its promises: the return to Rapture is absolutely great for the fans... Too bad it takes less than two hours to finish... At $15, it's quite expensive, especially as you will soon want to pay again for the second episode. You should opt now for the Season Pass.

Beyond is both better and worse than its illustrious predecessor Heavy Rain. It features a more varied gameplay, a better story, talented Hollywood actors and outstanding graphics... but it also lacks something: the ability to make truly decisive choices throughout the adventure. Significant changes you can make story-wise are actually concentrated at the end. However, games of this type and this quality are still too rare to deny yourself the pleasure.

Nice 16bit graphics and great OST does'nt save a painful gameplay and a lack of ideas.

Watch Dogs Legion is a pleasant game with some interesting ideas. The fact you can play so many characters feels great and offers a lot of opportunities. Too bad it is not very solid technically and that some mechanics are too similar to those of previous episodes.

How can one not to be disappointed at first with the usurpation of a name which had installed a new license aimed at a certain realism and insufficient core qualities to stay on track? PC3 can only find buyers with a discount in order to satisfy a certain curiosity. For everyone else, it stays on the side of the road and watches the others go by.

Nitroplus Balsterz is a good fighting game, with nice 2D sprites and animations, an accessible (but so deep) gameplay who offers spectacular fights.

Atomic Heart is not just another Russian Bioshock, although it certainly draws a lot of inspiration from it. Mundfish's game actually has a deeper lore than it appears and is interesting. The stakes won't break any bones, but they are more than enough to keep us on our toes. Our hero and his sidekick are talkative, but never heavy-handed and the game constantly oscillates between drama, reflection and humour, and it works. Visually, it's a hit. The art direction is insane and technically, it's superb on PS5. The details are legion, and the game impresses on many levels, notably with its special effects (light, pyrotechnics, blur, etc.) but also with its animations, some of which are truly amazing. So, yes, there are a few glitches like a handful of not-so-great textures, residual bugs or rhythm problems, especially during the cutscenes which are often very average, or even failed for some. But despite this, it's hard not to get a kick out of it. Atomic Heart remains a sure thing. An excellent surprise even.

Playing the boss, in other words the villain, proves a comical, enjoyably cruel, mind crushing experience. The management tasks may become deadly repetitive, since Goblinz Studio's business plan is deliberately lacking some deeper perspective, but Legend of Keepers should deserve the title of the lightest dungeon game, as simple - and good - as that.

Ten years. That's what it took for a follow-up to the original American McGee's Alice to be born. A great day for the fans, who will immediately recognize the trashy-gore touch of the developer. They won't be disappointed by the singular atmosphere, which captures imagination right from the start of the game. But its terrible lack of polish and technical shortcomings may also frighten a lot of people. The fans will probably forgive those, but others may not.

Judging by its first episode, Batman: The Telltale Series offers a fresh new take on Batman video games. Having to navigate political waters as Bruce Wayne is as much (if not more) fun as busting criminal scum heads as Batman. Let's hope that the plot will get even more interesting as the story progresses.

Musou Stars gives you a lot of fan service, but lacks a lot of content, and have some gameplay issues.

Rather than playing safe with the same, proven method, Mario Golf : Super Rush addresses the notion - if not the issue - of pace through a more dynamic approach carried by the new spin system and the optional addition of running between shots, wholly integrated into the environments' ingenious architecture. While such speedy, bumpy or even battling formula may disrupt some calm purists because of the constant pressure, it orientation towards multi player competition and online bursts shows Camelot's very own vision of this sport.

A harsh conclusion to a season that confirms we were clearly never in charge and that there were no connections to be expected between the different playable characters - that feel too Stark. Feeling helpless, we can not only be disappointed by the ending, but quite furious that this whole season has been stretched so that we'll have to wait for the (unannounced yet but obviously planned) next one. Shame.

King of Meat is undeniably one of the pleasant surprises of 2025. The game glows with contagious cheerfulness, so essential to party games. It offers a cooperative experience in a crazy setting, promising great runs with friends. The bold artistic direction is quite appealing, while its TV show concept has real long-term potential, as long as both the audience and the studio are invested. Despite gameplay that could be improved and an imaginative richness that struggles to fully translate into the environments, the challenge for Glowmade will be to offer content that is captivating enough to interest players and convince them to make the purchase, despite a price that is likely to be a barrier to entry, even for the curious.

Below is a quite convincing Rogue-lite with good visuals and great music, despite the lack of tutorial and narration, and a progression that can be very tough and frustrating.

Homefront is a classic first-person shooter, of which you could say it's efficient. But its looks seem old, it lacks ambition for its solo, and its multiplayer is scrawny, barely offering the minimum. It's a shame, because its story remains good, but a good game isn't a great game, and it's not like there's no great FPS out there.

Unless they have developed a sudden passion for the hardcore action RPG genre, PC gamers who were not customers of last year edition will not suddenly fall in love with this one. As for Xbox 360 gamers, they can probably consider giving it a chance, now that he does have frame-rate problems anymore and offers nice reworked graphics. Finally, the fans will be delighted for sure by this new, very long campaign.

Star Wars Episode 1 : Racer could have been a nice port on Switch, but the game still suffers from too many flaws to really satisfy. Fast and exhilarating, this Switch version seems unfinished, and features bugs, popping and clipping effects, without mentioning a horribly compressed soundtrack that does not justice to its brilliant composer.

Shadow Warrior is a good shooter that stands out for its humor and fast-paced action, and that's enough to satisfy fans of FPS until something more substantial.

If you've never played Until Dawn, go for it! Even if the price tag is still a bit high considering the changes. It's still one of the most beloved horror production, even after ten years, and his deserves his fame. It's, by far, the most good looking version available (PS5, PC) with huge improvements. If you've ever been on that ghost train, which successfully exploits the slasher genre, wait for a price drop. A pleasant remaster, yes, but not a complete remake.

This new iteration of Cities XL just lacks a little depth. But the solo gameplay is now more comprehensive (thanks to the inclusion of public transport, for example) even though there are still some issues like the freight. Unfortunately, the multiplayer disappeared in this refinement process of the previous iteration, without much to make up for the loss in challenge. Indeed, you'll have to do with the joys of management alone, or, of course, the simple pleasures of building lovely cities.

Between the walking simulator, and the video game experience, Lake is a contemplative title that takes advantage of rather well-written characters, and a system of dialogues enough impacting for us to think about the meaning of life and its priorities. No choice is better than the other, which means that the title really lets us choose what we want, without it having a positive or negative impact on the gaming experience. The sublime artistic direction, the incredible landscapes, and the chill soundtrack are a perfect setting for such a reflection. Lake could almost be reimbursed by social security because its soothing virtues are numerous. Unfortunately, a few bugs tarnish the picture, while we admit to having trouble releasing the 20 € requested for 6 hours of play, with very low replayability. In short, hop on Lake in a few months, after a few patches, and during a promo.

Well, why did Sega decides to port Shining Resonance to our European consoles instead of Valkyria Chronicles or Phantasy Star Online 2, no one will ever know. However, what we do know is that Shining Resonance is your average J-RPG with your average team of anime-looking main protagonists fighting with the power of songs and friendship. An enjoyable but quite forgettable experience.

The Sims 4 is still a charming life simulation, with a better interface and some new possibilities, but so many elements are missing compared from The Sims 3 (hello DLCs!) that all the fans will be disappointed.

Outer Rim is an honest DLC offering beautiful cards, a new and fun way and some attractive novelties. For holders of season-pass it is a very good opportunity to do it again. Indeed, the content does not necessarily justify the 14.99 & euro;. Unless you are a big fan of Greedo or Nien Nunb. It's up to you.

Even though one can't deny what benefits it brings to the body and the quality of the training exercises, the visual and sound of UFC Trainer are disappointing. It also lacks rhythm to appeal to the gamer who's at least a little fond of sports already. It still may be a complementary training tool if you do your sport live, already.

Visual novel and tactical RPG, with these words you already know if Digimon Survive is for you or not. The game has one of the best stories of the franchise thanks to its dark and mature tones. It’s however counterbalanced by many filler moments, empty dialogues and tacticless battles.

Even if only two maps of four are really cool and innovative ("Ruins" with Predator is excellent!), this new DLC offers a nice episode for the Extinction Mode, an interesting weapon and of course a lot of fun in multiplayer.

The Outer Worlds is back with Peril on Gorgon, who adds few hours of fun to the original game.

For a free online TPS, Ghost Recon Future Soldier reaches a high standard. Rather nice visually, interesting for group play and with a deep learning curve and numerous customisation options, it's a rather nice contribution to the F2P world that Ubisoft makes, even though there is still too few maps and too high prices in the shop.

SpongeBob Cosmic Shake is a small but decent platform game without much pretension. THQ's title prefers to capitalise on its accessibility and fan service rather than trying to offer a dense and deep adventure. A choice that will certainly delight the youngest, but much less the older fans. The game is indeed content with the bare minimum regarding its structure, its writing and its gameplay and if it succeeds in what it undertakes, one can only complain that it really does too little. And it's a pity, as the universe lends itself well to it.

Gunfire Games did what they could to bring Remnant From the Ashes to the Nintendo Switch. The downgrade is real with clear visual concessions, much longer loading times and a game that is less enjoyable on the go due to the inaccuracy and lack of ergonomics of the Joy-Con.

Playing Company of Heroes 3 on PS5 means accepting to play either a poorly optimized PS4 game (resolution mode) or a fat PS4 game at the end of its life (performance mode). Yes, technically, it's a real wreck. It's naughty or simply awful depending on the mode chosen. That being said, the game is still very playable and ultimately well optimized for the controller. We simply regret the lack of precision and responsiveness in the absence of a shortcut. But the work of the developers is there. The interface has been partially revised and it's pretty well done. It's up to you now if you're ready to sacrifice the visual aspect in the name of the altar of the strategy game, a genre underrepresented on home consoles. For the rest, Company of Heroes 3 remains the same game as on PC. An honest, but naughty strategy game.

Apache : Air Assault is for a niche audience. So if you're not a chopper fan, don't even consider it. If you are, but a little, then Apache will offer you some nice sensations. Too bad its interface is so basic, its staging non-existent, and its solo campaign lacking diversity in the missions, because Apache would have been a real benchmark, with a position to appeal to a larger audience.

Having a copy of those cult Super Mario games from the 8-bit era is almost reason enough for a gamer to get this collection. But it's still a "light" edition of Super Mario All-Stars (the Super Nintendo one), with few bonuses - the liflet is pretty but not really full of surprises nor knowledge, and the audio CD has 10 tracks and 10 sound effects that, sure, you will love hearing crystal clear again. But it could have done more.

Cute and cool puzzle game, too bad it doesn't have an online mode.

Even if it's not so spectacular, the gameplay system and the excellent learning curve of EA Sports UFC makes it a very good first try for Electronic Arts.

With its lovely visuals, grim atmosphere, compelling story and well-crafted system of choices that makes us go for more after the first run, Tokyo Dark is game that's worth the try.

Richard & Alice both have their stories to tell in a dying world covered in snow. But the story is too obviously trying too hard to bring forth emotions, and the point & click gameplay is far from being perfect. This clearly undermines the global experience.

That's You is what it takes: a very quick and fun way to spend 15 minutes of fun with friends or family. The PlayLink concept, which allows you to play each with a smartphone or a tablet, is really cool and well designed : you all go very quickly and easily into the game... even if the final drawing test (co-operative drawings) slows down things a little. The pace of each game is also a bit repetitive if you chain too much, a little more variety in the types of events would have been welcome... but it remains that the experience is still very fun, if your friend are, obviously, if you all know each other very well, and if you are at least 3 or 4 players around the PS4.

With American folklore blended in a steampunk universe and a TPS approach to strategy, Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. is heterogeneous to say the least. Hence this absurdly over-the-top plot won't click for everyone, just like these mechanics controlled from such a low point of view may seem too basic for pure tacticians. But when its engine works at full steam, this intricate piece of retro futurism shows some bold character.

Immortals of Aveum, by virtue of its story, has obvious appeal. It's the game of a lifetime for a developer who knows what he's talking about, the raison d'être of a brand new studio, an independent AAA that isn't really one... For the gamer, it's a very edgy FPS that's off the beaten track while still offering a familiar feel. Ascend Studio's title makes for a great time if you put aside its obvious technical problems, which unfortunately do it a bit of a disservice. But the fact remains that Immortals of Aveum has a lot going for it. There's a rich universe to discover, a whole world to explore, and some nerve-wracking if slightly chaotic combat... It's a shame that the technical side isn't always up to scratch on the PS5, because this would be a more than solid magical FPS, but as it stands it's sorely lacking in polish. But that doesn't mean it's a failure, just a date that could have gone a little better, but that we enjoyed nonetheless.

Ironclad Tactics is an excellent tactical game using playing cards. It may be a little bit too difficult, but every fan of the genre definitely have to try it.

A good game to play between your XCOM or Xenonauts sessions, with interesting characters, a great setting and a simple but efficient gameplay. RPG mechanisms don't prevail on tactical choices, as the game make you face a growing threat. A pretty good job from Robotality. Not perfect, but worth the price.

Enotria The Last Song may be like a fine (Italian) wine, and will improve with time, but when and to what extent? Jyamma Games thus offers a souls-like game with original artistic direction, as well as its universe, but both are clearly under-exploited. There are some good ideas, too, but they're a bit flimsy.
