Pioneers of Olive Town modernizes Story of Seasons' formula in a wilder, wider and somehow easier way, but such industrial revolution often feels heavy, then ultimately lacks life, if not charm, compared to the previous episodes.

Shadow Warrior 3 in a very nice fast FPS game that offers loads of entertainment and fun thanks to Lo Wang's sense of humor. But it's also sold at quite a steep price for what is essentially a 6 hours linear experience with no replay value.

As good as it is bad, Pokemon Violet & Scarlet doesn't do anything lightly. For the first time in the series, we experience a pure freedom. Paldea is very huge, Pokemon are numerous and it has never been so exciting to complete your Pokédex. However, the technical aspects are a pure disaster. Instead of being a Nintendo Switch must-have, this 9G starts is just a hyper addictive okay game.

As a game, Tomodachi Life seems a little weak. But as an absurd sitcom with the Tomodachi's version of your friends, expect some hilarious moments.

Indeed less memorable than the CG trailer that skyrocketed the buzz around its name, Dead Island still differentiates itself from the rest of the action/horror games thanks to a singular atmosphere. It's a shame its story is forgettable, its close range combat is sometimes confusing and its production values lag behind today's average, because the Banoi Island does have its charms. The survival feeling is there, and the bright sun rays won't dissipate the fear lurking around. Its RPG side with skills and weapons upgrades, online cooperative gameplay and clear identity make Dead Island a nice summer steam-venting action title.

Even if it offers some new ways to play that can make the formula evolve in the right direction, Far Cry: New Dawn suffers from having a poor story and very forgettable characters, that make it look like a Direct-to-DVD sequel to Far Cry 5. The real new dawn for the series is has yet to come.

For sure, Days Gone have a good story and characters that are pleasant to follow. But missions and gameplay are too repetitive, AI is too silly, bugs and freezes too frequent (even on PS4 Pro) to have us considering it as a fully enjoyable game. Too bad.

It looks like a game for children but it definitely presents a challenge for adults. Very well conceived, not really merciful and full of crafting ideas that makes us genuinely surprised, The Escapist suffers a bit from redundancy and a lack of storytelling. But in the end, it still is a very entertaining (and joyfully painful) experience.

The First Samurai is a good extension for a very good game, and concludes the adventure in a good way.

This new episode offers a huge place to explore and a nice challenge, even if the AI is still disappointing.

Lilly Looking Through is a short but very good Samorost-like adventure game, with beautiful animations and tricky puzzles, and it looks perfect to be played in family, even if the end is so frustrating.

Short of an outstanding visual appeal, and with a rather poor level design and uninspired story, Red Faction Armageddon won't be able to raise itself above the TPS usual crowd. But despite its shortcomings, the appeal of destructibility and of a very playable action remains efficient enough to see through the solo campaign. Multiplayer may be fun a couple of hours, but it's very forgettable.

This HD Remaster of Legend of Mana is a strange experience, somewhere in-between : with beautiful and wide landscapes, and a brilliant musical score, the game also offers some old and sometime repulsive gameplay mechanics, especially for newcomers. Legend of Mana is still a good '90s game, but it clearly needed more reflection to match today's standards.

Our feelings about Sand Land The Video Game are mixed. On one hand, this is a perfect adaptation of the manga from Akira Toriyama (Dragon Ball). It's absolutely gorgeous with phenomenal cel-shading and all the characters that we love. But the open world formula is too classic and the game suffers from a slow pace, narratives issues and a lack from impactful moments.

It's a split opinion for Asura's Wrath. Its artistic direction is simply magnificent, as is its soundtrack, and the overall storytelling, with a framing of all this action that's a brilliant success. But the beat'em all gameplay remains quite poor in between the breathtaking boss battles ; if you're a shonen fan, you can't miss it. If you're looking for an action game with a solid gameplay, stay away.

As usual very forgiving with the player, Just Dance 2014 is the perfect game to dance all night long with friends, on recent songs (Get Lucky, Pound The Alarm...) and other less recent (Maria from Ricky Martin, Nena , etc.). It is lively, the choreographies are very nice and the new modes are welcome. And with "Just Dance TV", you can save and share your "best" performances.

On four multiplayer maps, we count a remake from Modern Warfare 2 (still an excellent playground though) and a very boring one. Hopefully, the two others are pretty nice and do the job. The Exo Zombies mission lacks of appeal here, mainly because of its layout and general design. A little bit too light.

Toukiden is a clone of Monster Hunter... which is not so original on PS Vita, but this one is quite well executed and interesting to play. An acceptable alternative to Capcom's series, for PS Vita owners.

This fourth episode succeeds by taking its time to tell us more about characters we didn't know much about and by literally exploding at its end, leaving us in great need for what's next.

Death end Re;Quest is good mix between an original J-RPG and a visual novel, with two different heroes.

The best Street Fighter IV version, one of the best VS fighting games to date... in the worst port ever! On PS4, there are drawbacks in every aspect of the game. Such a shame for such a great game.

Might & Magic X offers an average gameplay with some good intentions, but it is poor in terms of graphics and unbalanced in its difficulty curve.

The Elder Scrolls Online is probably the weirdest MMO I've played in ages. It is constantly torn between its solo RPG origin and the need to provide the usual MMO package "a la WoW". In the end though, it is highly enjoyable to play, and nobody will be bored in embarking on this adventure.

Aragami is a good stealth game, with a nice use of the shadow zones. The narration is good, the visuals too, but the game suffers some technical issues.

Unit 13 has no real competitor on PS Vita, and that's why you may want to give it a try. Even if it lacks a real personality and real good ideas, it does the job with great application and some success. The result: nice gameplay, excellent controls, average graphics... all that in many missions that can finally takes a lot of fun to play. Do not expect anything huge, but at least the headshots series you need to wait until a real good shooter appears on the next-generation portable.

Beyond the chance to catch up with iconic heroines, Life is Strange Reunion brings fans full circle with a duo they’ve grown up with—and, potentially, with the entire franchise. This fifth installment thus oscillates between emotion and frustration. Deck Nine takes great care to give Max and Chloe the most satisfying conclusion possible for fans, but unfortunately gets lost in a branching storyline it never quite manages to fully control. We’re left with pacing issues and unbalanced storylines, weighed down by ever-present visual glitches. It’s hard, however, to deny the joy as a fan, as the chemistry between the heroines remains as strong as ever. Despite a few missteps, we dive in with pleasure and excitement into a chapter that reignites the experience that moved us 11 years ago.

If it wasn't playable in VR, Farpoint would be an average and quite basic first person shooter... but it is in VR, and once you put the PSVR on your head and the Aim Controller in your hands, it really makes a difference. We can feel that there is so much better things to come for VR shooters in the future, but for now, even with its flaws, Farpoint is unmissable if you already own a PSVR.

I found this on Desura, an indie-only Steam-like, and it could raise an interest among several people : an adventure game where a metalhead is trying to survive a zombie invasion. The two australian developers are aiming at giving us fun, and I must confess that the dialogs and brilliant situations are, indeed, quite funny. It's not hilarious, but it's nice. other than that, sure the 8-bit metal music feels weird, and the visuals are clearly ugly... but one can get used to it, and if it wasn't for the quite perfectible interface, it's 6 hours of decent fun and adventure for a very low price.

A charming introduction to a potential great adventure game. This free episode sure deserves to be played in order to discover its quite pleasing arts and music. After Silence, we sure want to see what's next in the three next chapters.

Little Inferno is a funny, comforting and overall artful way to consume many kinds of intricate materials, including some (good) time, alone or with warm-hearted friends gathered around the fireplace.

Sold as a Metal Gear Solid parody, Never Stop Sneakin' delivers mission after mission of some top down infiltration fun with retro visuals which clearly act as a strong homage to the PlayStation console. Strong as it can be within its first hours, the game runs short of ideas before we really expect it to, perhaps acting too generously too early to keep up with the genre.

Bridge Constructor Portal is a very nice fusion between two series which offers clever architectural puzzles mixed with Valve's beloved franchise twists. Accessible, pedagogue, user-friendly and delivering a very strong content, the game might be interesting even for the non-fans of the genre.

NBA 2K22 is good, undoubtedly that is undeniable. On current-gen, the game is fine and broadly follows what the next-gen version offers, minus the power and graphics quality. The latter offers challenging gameplay for novices but so much more balanced for purists. Finally, only VCs, untimely loading times (again) and a technical quality that is not always irreproachable in certain areas (facial expressions) to cast a little shadow on this new component, which cannot end elsewhere but at home if you like basketball... No revolution this year, though.

God Eater 3 is a pretty decent Monster Hunter-like, but the game seems so old in terms of gameplay and visuals.

One Piece deserves much better than this opportunist and disappointing multi-platform port of a title released last year in Japan on 3DS.

DriveClub could have been just an average racer if it didn't offer all these excellent community features. The whole point of the game is here, and that's a good one.

After the very nice Evil Dead The Game, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre proves that we can adapt a legendary work without destroying it. The game is clearly a nice homage to Tobe Hooper's cult Texas Chainsaw Massacre. We find all the ingredients of the feature film between the locations, the objects which become mechanics (chicken cages, bones etc.), the grain of madness that we can have during certain parts and characters who are more careful than in the usual for the genre. Playing as a member of the Family is inevitably easier, but being on the Victim side brings another tension. A good immersion in this universe, and that of asymmetrical horror games, but which suffers from its blatant lack of content, the animations and modeling of the characters, and its too clean image. It would clearly have been necessary to dirty the visuals to further improve the atmosphere. If you're a fan and you start it, you should enjoy your few games, but for how long?

Transference offers a unique experience. If it scares away with now known gimmicks, its unhealthy atmosphere, exploded storytelling and the imagination left to the player as well as the meta aspect of browsing a faulty software in a video game make it a unique and successful experience.

If you liked playing Zombies in Left 4 Dead, you may like this nice surprise of a game, Brainsss. You control hordes of zombies and complete various objectives using the street topography and touch controls. With inspired visuals and various elements to spice things up as you progress, Brainsss is a very good iOS game.

Affordable, yet masterfully produced, with a very strong visual identity, this action puzzle game offers an unusual gameplay that works surprisingly well when grasped. It's a very nice, well-priced game that offers 4 to 5 hours of gameplay for puzzle and scoring aficionados.

Portal Knights is a nice Minecraft-like that tries to implement an adventure, even if it fails to tell a real good story.

Unfortunately, behind its beautiful backgrounds and melancholic soundtrack, Pinstripe forgot to be a solid platformer. Clumsy controls, basic puzzles and soporific fights forbid the player to experience its tearful message all the way through.

Certainly, this console version is technically behind the PC. But that does not detract from the qualities of the simulation. Despite a slightly disappointing framerate, we still manage to identify the limits and behavior of each vehicle. It is also all the salt of Assetto Corsa Competizione ; Drive safely and consistently while harnessing the strengths and weaknesses of the car. We swap pure performance for driving intelligence and that's for the better.

EVE Valkyrie offers excellent sensations of space combat, but it's a shame the solo campaign is so short, even if the multiplayer mode is solid and engaging.

The Medium is a very good horror narrative game, despites somes riddles that may be too simple, and the dual reality mechanics may not be as original as expected.

CRUSH3D is not only characters that look like the ones of my german schoolbooks, it's also a very good way to relive those horribly solitary moments, standing in front of the blackboard, trying to solve some math problem in front of everybody. It's so difficult that you may get a headache from playing it, trying to use the perspective, and to play with the size of 2D and 3D elements in order to progress in the subconscious of the hero. It's smart level design, no doubt, but the overall art direction isn't really strong, and the difficulty may seem too much too soon. Those who will stick around despite those shortcomings will find true bliss in torturing their brains in order to wrap them up around it.

Beyond the poetic eloquence of such delicate handmade animation and moving musical compositions, the main tour de force is hidden into the puzzles that subtly reflect the story's themes. A modest, yet humbling luminous piece of art.

Back in 2001, when Onimusha Warlords first came out, it was a real step forward in the beat'em all genre. Eighteen years later, despite its laughable length, the joy of discovery remains the same, especially when it comes to its stunning art direction and the simpleness of its gameplay mechanics. Now, we can only hope for further adaptations of the Onimusha saga.

Lords of Shadow 2 didn't succeed in outrivaling the first episode. But it is indeed a great game, beautiful and interesting, with some flaws (mostly the stealth sequences) that can be annoying at times, but never prevent the player from a desire to run to the end of the story and explore this pleasant open world.

Despite its gorgeous graphics and a superb soundtrack Sable still featureS too many collision bugs to deliver the oniric adventure it is supposed to. Only those who will excuse its many technical flow will enjoy a true chillful and arty open world, with many surprises and enigmatic nomads to meet all the way.

Dungeon Siege III is a perfect example of an average game. Not quite pretty, but not ugly either, with a dull plot but one that is not as insipid as some others from poor JRPGs, and a wimpish gameplay that remains ok for the gamers that don't really want to be asked for too much effort. Multiplayer and liking of the global atmosphere will be the two decisive criteria in deciding whether you'll see a half-empty or half-full cup when contemplating DS3.

Ruiner offers a particularly demanding gameplay, with very cool gun fights that will surely satisfy hardcore twin stick shooter fans. Unfortunately, the visuals are very repetitive, and the story is nearly as much absent as the multiplayer mode.

When it comes to its social criticism, his characters and the low-poly atmosphere, Sludge Life 2 is pretty good. But it doesn't go far enough in its concept, which quickly shows its limitations. It becomes rather boring, despite its short length.

For fans of the genre, Joint Assault isn't going very far in any aspect. But its combat remains nice, even though its playability is a little slow at first, since it takes some time for it to become more dynamic. Its production values are average, similar to the previous 2006 PSP episode (Skies of Deception), but its missions clearly lack ambition or surprises, much like its politico-economic fictional backdrop. To sum it up, the flight plan lacks any noticeable turbulence to spice it up, but it's still nice, especially when playing coop or competitive with and against friends.

Battle Worlds: Kronos is a very classic but effective turn based strategy game. The concept requires thinking and AI gives trouble. Too bad that the realization comes from another era, and the art direction is so uninspired.

Quite frankly, now that the point and click genre seems to be reborn again, with quality titles like the Sam & Max series or indie gems like Machinarium, it's hard to be lenient. Even though it has a decent length, and could satisfy some casual gamers, I can't really recommend this dull and soporific Black Mirror 2 to anybody. Even to be mean.

Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin is an entertaining way to wait for Psychonauts 2 and a quite good VR experience. It can be considered too short and too easy, but it's still funny and capable of letting everyone spend some good time with Raz.

Through the Darkest of Times is a fantastic proposition and very much a necessary game to understand what it could have been like being a German, a human being, during these terrible years. Even if gameplay mechanics fall short, it's still very recommandable for anyone who needs a reminder and/or is interested in History.

It's in the long run that this Namco title reveals it appeal, with its own world and gameplay, especially the use of its God Arc. Both deep and fun to play, it has enough to charm some of the genre's aficionados, even though the Monster Hunter games remain the undisputed champions of this category.

Mass Effect Andromeda is a good Space Opera RPG, with a lot of content, but the story isn't complete at the end, which is frustrating, calling for a sequel that could never be released.

Supermassive Games has successfully embraced the world of Nowhere, enriching it with both its narrative and its dynamic duo. Little Nightmares 3 shines with its anxiety-inducing atmosphere, meticulous staging, and a soundtrack that carefully punctuates every moment of tension. As for the gameplay, it constantly changes pace to keep us engaged. We move from captivating exploration to infiltration, with moments of more intense action in between. We regret a few inaccuracies in the handling and some room for improvement in terms of performance. But overall, this third installment is a success that should be even more enjoyable for two players, as long as you play online.

Pro Cycling Manager 2017 is a disappointment. It did not bring a lot of novelty and fans will have to wait next year to observe a real change. However, the game is pleasant thanks to the richness of the gameplay and the fluidity of its game engine.

One starts playing Gotham City Impostors without a lot of enthusiasm, but slowly gets into the brutal and fast-paced gameplay, and this deliciously kitsch atmosphere. But, in the long run, it's hard not to become bored with it.

Fresh and light, Pilotwings will make you travel... but not very far! About 30 levels to play and replay, improving your scores, that's not really huge. However, the 3D effect is very good and immersive. This game is quite fun and represents a nice way to spend some free time, but do not expect much more than this.

Aya Brea puts its origins to rest in order to provide a third person action title full of thrills, quite dynamic, and appealing. There's also blame to be passed, on the light and not really consistent story for example, a camera system that's not beyond reproach, and a short lifespan, but overall, it does succeed in providing excellent action.

No Man's Sky is an atypical game that offers an experience outside the norm. For one of the very first times (except Minecraft) we really have the feeling of macrocosmos. In this infinite universe, thousands of other players travel into cosmos like you but have no chance to meet you. The gameplay is repetitive but not uninteresting. It's a good game but we hope Hello Games will add content in the future.

Fracked is an exclusive PlayStation VR game that gets the job done. Equipped with an almost non-stop "action" gameplay alternating phases on foot, skiing and climbing with a concept of taking cover using motion gaming, it is very easily placed in the list of the most popular VR games. more fun to play yet. However, we regret that the adventure ends fairly quickly (3 hours maximum), with an obvious lack of variety in terms of enemies and environments. The cel shading, associated with nice effects of light and particles, make Fracked a very beautiful game in virtual reality that does not have to be ashamed of what is done on competing platforms, especially since it is fully optimized for PS5 with maximized resolution.

If Squishies is likely to go unnoticed with its generic aspect, it is still a nice puzzle game and offers a comfortable VR experience.

Détective Pikachu has a cool concept and a truly great title character. That being said, the game is way too easy for most players. But it can make a fun first Adventure game for young kids.

A nice fighting game. It is rather interesting on the gameplay side, but fans of the manga will be especially pleased to see that this adaptation is visually stunning! The game's DLC policy is abusive, though.

Even for Telltale, building a scenario piece by piece in a world totally void of narrative material was a delicate task, hence this parodic quest lacks substance and is only engaging for Minecraft fans, though they may feel constrained in such story-driven adventures.

Although we'd expected more from an Xbox One exclusive (it's not visually stunning, not even that decent actually), Screamride manages to provide a fresh and fun experience. It still lacks some more content and is a bit pricey though.

It could have been a fun trivia game to play for a few sessions if it only had a good consideration of pace between rounds and had let us the choice to not use Power Plays to slow down our opponents... and the game.

Beyond the improved visuals and supplementary customization options, the additional member of the team played by the horse proves the main evolution of Grezzo's port, which makes the adventure even more pleasant for young audience, while RPG veterans may surely appreciate such irony, too reminiscent of the 3DS version though.

With Undounded, Ridge Racer gets closer to games like Burnout, Blur, or Split Second. It's more accessible, and more aggressive, with a very nice tracks editor and nice multiplayer. Too bad its production values aren't on par with the genre champions, and traditional Ridge Racer fans will probably disappointed by this new orientation.

Gameplay and production-wise, Telltale Games doesn't reinvent the wheel with "The Enigma." But what the studio does, it does well. The game tells a new story that can grab the attention of both old and new fans of the Batman. Let's now hope that the following episodes will be as interesting.

Ark Survival Evolved is a good survival game with awesome mechanics, but it's also a technical disaster (lag, freezes, connection issues...). Such a shame.

Visually stunning, taking advantage of an amazing soundtrack, Harold feels like Heaven to watch. And the 12 tracks from this 2D runner are perfectly tailored, feel unique and demand a lot of reflexion and reflex actions that hardcore - or really stubborn - gamers will fully enjoy. For people who don't have time to face its progressive but unforgivable difficulty and don't see themselves fighting for a good rank on leaderboards, it will probably feel like Hell. Still, this unique game will definitely reward perseverance.

Let's quickly sum it up: if you enjoyed the original Crackdown, no need to get this one, and certainly not for 60 euros. Aside from a few details, there's nothing new here, but the competitive multiplayer play. Which may, for a time, help raise the value of Crackdown 2, but not for long. Same city (but uglier), repetitive missions, endless brainless action, and a story you can write completely down and in details on a single Post-it. Yes, there is still the power grinding of the character to pursue, level after level, trophies / success to unlock, and various stuff to collect all over the city, but you know... been there, done that. And better, bigger, sexier at that, like in Just Cause 2 for example.

With Sonic Frontiers, SEGA is taking risks to modernize its iconic license. Unfortunately, it doesn't work mostly because of the open world and its mechanics. On the other hand, classic levels are still very enjoyable and save the game. This isn't the return of a great Sonic that we could expect.

Clockwork Aquario is an old-school and colorful arcade game which sticks to its original roots. Developed to be a coin consuming experience, its shortness will only be forgiven by those willing to perfect their score. Simple and still quite fun, Clockwork Aquario is more valuable when shared with a friend.

With Age of Empires Online, Robot Entertainment offers a real-time strategy experience for a large public in terms of solo play, and probably one that's more interesting in PVP. But in order to enjoy it, it's really best to purchase a premium civilization. It still remains pretty straightforward and classic, but wrapped up in a nice, overall production, with very polished equipment management, crafting and decoration options for your city.

Crossing Souls is a "feel good game" for anyone who grew up during the eighties.

VT4 may be the most beautiful game of the genre, the most spectacular, thanks to the "Match Momentum" shots (even though they are less efficient in the game than on paper), but our favorite champions are not really playing Tennis. Sure, it's an arcade style that opens up for every possibility, and it's still great fun for newbies and hardcore players alike, but the series would really benefit from a little self-questionning, if only on its limited gameplay.

Here's a premiere that puts a smile on our faces (a shy one, but a smile anyway). LEGO Horizon Adventures is a pleasant surprise, which struggles to convince completely, but does not lack potential. Long-time fans will certainly enjoy discovering this retelling of Horizon Zero Dawn, which also presents itself as a half-fun open door to the universe. Even if the whole thing lacks aplomb, particularly in its handling, the experience doesn't fall short. What's more, Guerrilla Games and Studio Gobo deliver a fine copy, both visually and aurally. We love the cheerful cast, who play the game to the hilt, in both VO and VF. Given the promise of such a reinterpretation, especially when we know what the LEGO franchise is capable of, we wouldn't say no to a sequel or, why not, other forays into Sony's universe or those of other publishers!

nder The Waves provokes emotions, it makes you cry, shiver, clench your fists and above all, it makes you think. Far from a moralizing speech, he learns. Learn to love the ocean, the beauty it represents but also the strength hidden there. Under the Waves is touching with such human characters, with weaknesses and many doubts. A poignant story that is not wrapped in embellishments to deliver 7 completely captivating hours.

The portable Assassin's Creed we were waiting for is there, and it's capable. The feeling is there, the story enjoyable, and there's even some extras (commerce, multikills, gameplay altering costumes, touch features, etc.). But it's hard not to point out a clear lack of polish.

Road to Boruto adds a new adventure mode to Naruto SUNS4. The story is cool, but the whole DLC lacks content.

Resident Evil Revelations offers a good port of the original game. The game now has a solid 1080p/60fps and some bonuses in Raid mode. That being said, if you have already played it, the purchase is highly dispensable.

Dead Rising 3 has a better look on PC and will entertain you big time. It is generous and fun, we have never seen so many zombies in the streets, the open world is full of activities, featuring stupid and hilarious ideas... The best game of the Dead Rising saga.

Without being as cult as Onimusha Warlords, Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny shows just how special this license is. Despite the weight of time, the gameplay is still effective and more accessible with the introduction of modern controls. It's clearly a basic remaster like the first one, but it's the best way to play it. However the high price just for one game is not justified here.

Maneater is a delirious and fun experience for the first few hours. But quickly you'll get a bit bored repeating the same thing over and over again.

One does not lose talent that easily, it seems. The Cave shows that Ron Gilbert still has this little touch of craziness that sets him apart from other game creators, and that allows him to produce adventure games that are fresh. Despite some errors and shortcomings like its short length and not-so-extensive replayability, this cute title doesn't lack positive qualities, most notably in terms of writing and puzzle design. And it's also quite funny, smart, and affordable.

Senran Kagura Peach Beach Splash is an average TPS, and it's saved only by its sexy mechanics.
