For a Musô-inspired beat'em all, this On Piece will probably delight the fans of the manga. Visuals are top-notch in terms of cel-shaded fidelity, boss combats are epic, and the gameplay solid enough, except maybe the QTE sequences which, quite quickly, become repetitive and annoying.

Ancestors Humankind Odyssey is a game which we embody the deans of humanity, immersed in the fascinating, extremely immersive and often moving adventure of the great story of life. However, Panache Digital Games has not completely managed to offer a game always technically up to the originality of his proposal. It is nonetheless a singular experience that arouses great sympathy and for which it would be a shame to miss out, especially if the few really disabling design flaws were to be corrected soon.

Argul's Tomb (to be included in the Wii U version) packs two donjons, new enemies (even though they are but new skins on already fought 3D models). It's a little light for its price, especially considering there's no new puzzle-types, but its hour and half additional gameplay is still very much interesting to play for the fans. Too bad it's a separate campaign and not something weaved into the main one, though.

Before it unwillingly became a fantastic rant against always-online DRM, and forced social cooperation, SimCity was supposed to be the shining new star of the city builders genre. Instead, Maxis and EA delivered a very pretty screen saver one can build as he likes. Miniaturized both in terms of zones to play with and gameplay mechanics, this SimCity is really fun for 10 hours, the time you need to build a full city and watch it like the pretty ant farm it is, before you simply abandon it before the very eyes of other players who were relying on its resources. It may still remain fun when played privately among friends with a decent strategy, which they need to polish even before laying their first piece of concrete on the ground, but in the end, we'd wager the game itself will be forgotten in a year's time. Its disastrous launch and unreliable servers? Maybe less so.

Despite an inevitably cramped interface, RPG Maker Fes is still a solid, yet demanding game creation software, all the more so without a proper - if not fun - tutorial. But neither portability nor simple online sharing system can make up for such restrictions concerning tools and content. These tend to limit, or even format the end results. Considering the time they require and the DLC policy, it would be wiser to invest in the massively more elaborate PC version.

But its very short adventure, lack of polish, and imprecise gameplay prevent it from being anything more than a cheap steam-venting endeavor. Yes, Alpha Protocol is quite ugly and poorly animated. It also suffers from some gameplay mechanics oddities. But even with its repulsive looks, it managed to hook me in through several play-throughs, thanks to a decent story, carefully written dialog with finesse and humor, and this strong sense of actually influencing the destiny of my character as well as those of the ones around him. The espionage atmosphere, with its conspiracies and modern touch, is well rendered, and if you're a customer for an RPG with a contemporary setting, with a Mass Effect inspired game design, you may very well enjoy it as much as I did. No, War of the North is not the blockbuster expected by the most enthusiastic of the fans. If it wasn't supported by such a strong license, it would even stay under the radar. But here we are : the fact that it remains so true to Tolkien's world and references it so well, with some true epic moments (the combat against a giant, the journey mounted on an eagle, the encounter with a dragon...) just saves it. Despite the numerous bugs and an energic but average combat system, it works : one always wants to make progress, and discover more. Lastly, the split-screen play has but one merit, to exist, since it's so chaotic to play. On the other hand, the online co-op is a real plus.

Technically speaking, this Wii U version of Watch_Dogs is awful. Add to this the lack of control while moving the camera, targeting or driving, and we can say that the 6 months-delay wasn't worth the wait... Next!

As much as it pains us to say this, Agents of Mayhem is a disappointing spin-off to one of the funniest video game franchises. An uninspired setting and uninspired gameplay make for a miss able game. And that's too bad, as the Agents clearly had some potential as characters.

Super Bomberman R is not the perfect comeback we hoped for. The Adventure mode is completely disappointing, the Battle mode is only doing the minimum, and the handling suffers some issues.

Sniping zombies in slow motion with friends is priceless, and that is what Zombie Army Trilogy is all about: multiplayer and fun. Don't even have look at the solo campaign.

Total War Rome II Empire Divided Empire is a good DLC who brings some fresh elements to an old-looking game. It's focusing on one of the most interesting periods of the Roman Empire (the reign of Aurelian). We can regret the lack of new content in politics after the free update. Total War fans are still unlikely to be disappointed. But to many other players, this DLC will feel dispensable.

Destruction AllStars is a game that should be offered to all PS5 buyers. If it justifies its place in a basic bundle, it certainly does not have the qualities for a purchase. Too repetitive to be fun in the long run, it could perhaps become more interesting evolving. But its reputation is unfortunately already known.

Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 is clearly a radically different experience from its illustrious predecessor. Despite the regrettable loss of the "role-playing" aspect and the emblematic freedom of the first episode in favor of a more typical "narrative action-RPG" format, its sequel still does a good job of immersing us with undeniable mastery in the unique atmosphere of the World of Darkness. This is notably thanks to a fascinating story carried by two characters offering a beautiful duality; with two gameplays that skillfully complement each other by alternating truly exhilarating action/infiltration phases and investigation phases with a well-placed touch of madness. The title of The Chinese Room, however, suffers from a totally anecdotal open world, and a technical aspect that is certainly not unpleasant to look at, but which needs a little refinement to properly display its enticing vampire fangs.

With this second episode, The Legacy of the First Blade knifes all the roleplay Ubisoft spent dozens of hours to build in a three-hour short and highly questionable story. Even the great battleships and a brand new weapon will not save Assassin's Creed Odyssey from this wrongly twisted cliffhanger that might disappoint most adventurers out there.

Despite its linearity, Kane & Lynch 2 offers memorable action sequences. There's a true visual identity, very efficient for conveying a brutal, ugly, reality that really captures our attention. Io Interactive was able to correct its original game, in order to deliver a visceral, life-like follow-up.

Dangerous Driving is like mini bikes experienced by the oldest of us. It's not super pretty, it's very simple and we still have nice moments with it. By cons, you don't want friends to see you with it. We can forgive its wanderings when we know that it is developed "in a garage" with very limited funds. But in this case, he must not claim such prestigious legacies as Burnout, for which we are still waiting for a successor to the excellent "Paradise" episode.
