The perfect follow up to a great original game, as well as a wonderful way to get the DBZ story without re-watching the entire anime. Every aspect of the first Xenoverse is taken and expanded upon to great effect. Character customization is deeper, the campaign is longer, parallel quests have more substance, and the world itself has more life.

It's a step in the right direction to become the Dragon Ball game we all want. It's a game we really enjoyed and it won't disappoint Dragon Ball fans.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 fixes many of the problems that the first title left unattended and once again gives the player the opportunity to fix the Dragon Ball history. The game has a great amount of content which means many hours of gameplay. Fan service and nice storytelling will keep you going until you reach the very end. However, countless localization problems, recycled elements and senseless side-missions hurt the overall experience.

A game chock-full of content that provides numerous hours of fun, surpassing the previous game in almost every way. Still, there is a long way until we get a proper, epic Dragon Ball game.

Dragon Ball Z Xenoverse 2 feels more like a big update to the first game than a true sequel, and if the fights are worthy, the MMO side of things feels like a last minute add-on as the empty Cloud City shows.

Weightless, repetitive combat makes progress through this strange fan-service story a slog. [Christmas 2016, p.72]

But, I was. Completely wrong. As the game made progression, I had complete change in my opinion, Dbx2 is huger than what it appears to be and got many side quests to do with great combat system along with good customisation of the characters. a perfect value for money that you are going to spend on. Proud to be patroller. Expand

The game is very similar to its prequel, but has lots of improvements.

PROs: a Dragonball game where the story isnt just a rehash of dbz
    Create a character options
Lots of characters to choose from
    Fun Training system
    Skill ceiling
Moments that make you feel you are apart of the anime
Lots of little things and details that add up to make the best dragonball experience

    CONs: Ugly Graphics
    Repetitive
    Awkward Locky Special moves
The Hub is basically your menu, and it can be hard to annoying to fly to modes in a moderately sized hub.

I enjoyed this game a lot, I love creating characters, and I enjoy games with RPG elements.

But if I had to look at this game critically,
I enjoyed this game a lot, I love creating characters, and I enjoy games with RPG elements.

But if I had to look at this game critically, even though it's been improved, the combat does get quite repetitive after awhile, usually if you learn a good combo that does good damage you would usually just repeatedly do it over and over until you defeat whoever you're against.

And this games biggest downfall is that it's way too similar to it's previous installment, It feels like a long DLC than an actual sequel expanding on the games story, which is the exact same except for around the end game, when you have to finally confront Mira, Towa, and the Masked Saiyan (whos identity is obvious from the beginning).

The improvements on the hub-world are good, but it's not very important for the game overall.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is a fun game, but there's not a lot of replay value, and it feels like the developers made this game half-heartedly, hopefully Xenoverse 3 is better.

It’s just too bad the decision making and execution was made by people with absolutely no sense. There are so many oversights and imbalances in the gameplay. It’s so disappointing. I get it developers make mistakes, but the amount of times that I google a problem and the response is “yeah unfortunately that’s just how the game’s made” is ridiculous. Some of the laziest development I’ve ever seen. Expand
