Xenoverse 2 is a noticeable step up from the original and, even though its clich�, is a Dragon Ball fan's dream title. Between this and Fusions, the Dragon Ball series is on a win streak and I can't wait to see what's next.

Dimps has listened to the Dragon Ball fans, that much is clear. Xenoverse 2 features more multiplayer options, streamlined gameplay and hours of entertainment. Still, it misses the co-op Story Mode and all-over it feels like a huge upgrade.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is probably one of the best, if not the best, Dragon Ball games out there. Dimps improved every aspect of the first game: solid combat system, good graphic, spectacular animations and a totally new hub in Conton City. The camera has some issues here and there, but nothing to be worried about.

Even though many of its elements are a rehash/ update from the previous game, Dragonball Xenoverse 2 comes with enriched content that will keep fans of the series busy for several hours.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is still a marked improvement over the original. Smoother gameplay, more options and a lessened focus on RNG really show the developers have learned a lot over the past two years. The new character additions help too, but it's clear Bandai Namco is on the right track to take the series even further going forward.

Great sequel with more content and lots of hours of enjoyment. A step forward for this saga.

Broken DLC promises, long load times, and story padding hurt Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, but it is still a game with plenty of content for Dragon Ball fans to sink their teeth into. It has a large roster full of diverse fighters, endless character creation possibilities, a streamlined hub world, and an engaging story. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is a vast improvement over the original, and should leave franchise fans satisfied.

One of the best Dragon Ball game in the last years. Solid combat, good visuals and animations, overwhelming contents and a still perfectible camera system.

The definition of a bigger and better sequel, Dragon Ball XenoVerse 2 doesn't try to fix what isn't broken, and instead focuses on building upon the foundations of the first game. With a crazy amount of content to blast through - both online and offline - an improved combat system, and new ways to develop and customise your very own Dragon Ball hero, this is very much the definitive XenoVerse experience, and an absolute must for fans of Akira Toriyama's manga and anime epic.

If you love fighting outside of the restrictions of grounded combat, flying through the air at great speeds whilst firing off some great combos feels free and exhilarating, even if it can become repetitive over time.

The best game based upon Akira Toryiama's legendary series in quite some time. The combat feels more fluid and responsive than its predecessor, and it's packed with enough content to keep players busy for dozens of hours. A fun, if cliché, story mode acts as the cherry on top of what is an enjoyable action game with legs.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 had a lot to live up to for fans of the franchise after the success of its predecessor, and while the game may not be for everyone, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 offers yet another satisfying experience for Dragon Ball fans that is not one to be missed.

It's a step in the right direction to become the Dragon Ball game we all want. It's a game we really enjoyed and it won't disappoint Dragon Ball fans.

It's for sure the most complete Dragon Ball game, although it shows some laziness in the process of evolving from the previous game. That being said, it offers really flashy visuals and tons of content.

Xenoverse 2 is meant as the product that the original Xenoverse should have been. However, this brand new title lacks on innovation despite its additions. This game is more than the original, but we had expected much more improvements in its overall presentation.

Specially recommended for those who are new to Xenoverse. Otherwise, you will find a constant Déjà vu feeling: I've done this before. And yes, you've done it.

The result is a title that is at once mechanically superior to the original and less interesting. Fans of the original Xenoverse will find this to be a fun expansion, and newcomers would be better off starting with Xenoverse 2 rather than its predecessor. Some excessive loading times and a weak story drag down the experience, but it's still one of the best Dragon Ball games out there.

However that doesn't saved the game from having many problems that affect its experience, being some of them the same that its predecessor had.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is still far from the good times Budokai or Tenkaichi brought, and keeps with what we saw in the first entry, bearing in mind the year and a half Dimps had. Many content, many characters, many missions, many fan service and many hours, that's the good point. But it is quite repetitive and it is extremely easy in most of its gameplay.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 fixes many of the problems that the first title left unattended and once again gives the player the opportunity to fix the Dragon Ball history. The game has a great amount of content which means many hours of gameplay. Fan service and nice storytelling will keep you going until you reach the very end. However, countless localization problems, recycled elements and senseless side-missions hurt the overall experience.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is among the best games to emerge from this beloved franchise. It looks stunning, has a solid gameplay base, and gives people who love the series a way to feel like they’re a part of this big, beautiful universe. Though it has its share of problems, I was really surprised at how much fun I had with it.

Dragon Ball Z Xenoverse 2 is the ultimate fan experience. The game magically manages to retain the epic, and faithfully recreates the fast-paced combat using a surprisingly intricate fighting and character development systems. If you’re a Dragon Ball fan, Xenoverse 2 will definitely entertain...However, I'm concerned that newbies to the series – or less hardcore fans that only remember Dragon Ball in passing – will struggle to get their bearings. The combat system is great, but the game offers little up-front tutelage. Add to this a difficulty level that spikes fairly quickly, and the game could end up frustrating as much as it entertains

Smoother combat and great multiplayer options make Xenoverse 2 worth a play for fans of the series.

Xenoverse 2 is best for those who missed the first game, as they are far, far, far too similar. Many of the maps are recycled, and really so is the combat. But your abstinence as a Dragon Ball fan (and aren’t we all) will be dearly compensated with an expanded version. Neither its story nor treadmill-fighting are likely to get you zealing for a year’s training at 500-times Earth’s gravity, but you’ll be up to your Dragon Balls in creative things to do, with an excitable use of the lore. The Xenoverse series may only exist to piggyback the monetary success of western game design, though whether sincere or not, that’s actually the best part of this translation. Like all of these games with steep stories, the depth of your enjoyment will likely depend on the depth of your fandom.

A game chock-full of content that provides numerous hours of fun, surpassing the previous game in almost every way. Still, there is a long way until we get a proper, epic Dragon Ball game.

The refinements here are not staggering, but there are enough of them to make this iteration what more sequels should be: an improvement over the original. There is still room for improvement, but Dragon Ball: Xenoverse 2 should appeal to both brawling and DBZ fans alike.

There’s a huge amount of content available to players, and you can spend hours battling and levelling up in the attractive world of the Super Saiyans, even if repetition does eventually begin to set in.

With all of the side missions, skills to unlock, items to craft, hilarious side quests such as the milk delivery quests, Parallel Quests with co-op capability, offline and online matches, and not to mention the main missions, there is more than enough for players to sink their teeth into. It will feel padded to some, especially those who played the first game.

The addition of Conton City alone makes Xenoverse 2 an improved sequel. Running (and later flying) around its large space with other Dragon Ball Z fans is fun, and walking up to familiar characters to learn their iconic super moves makes seeking out everyone worthwhile. It all eventually points to the combat, though, and I struggle to get excited about entering each new battle. It becomes a hurdle to what has the potential to be a highly replayable experience with lots of interesting unlockables.

DragonBall Xenoverse 2 is a game that is made for fans of the series. From the deep cuts in the lore, to the character customization options allowing players to create any DBZ character they would want, Xenoverse 2 offers fans the DBZ experience they have been wanting for years. However, I found that not much has changed from last years entry, coupled with a much-too-easy combat system and some odd audio cues.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is clearly a better game than the first Xenoverse was. Its story and universe have been fleshed out and its gameplay has been polished. Unfortunately its technical limitations refrains it from reaching its full potential.

Dragon Ball Z Xenoverse 2 feels more like a big update to the first game than a true sequel, and if the fights are worthy, the MMO side of things feels like a last minute add-on as the empty Cloud City shows.

The combat, mechanics, and visuals are definitely better than its predecessor, as is Conton City and its myriad of quests. However, the constant feeling of “I swear I’ve done this before” can weigh down on the player at times.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is the sequel of the first installment that does not bring anything new to the Dragon Ball saga. Disappointing and not living up to the expectations, DBX2 is not what the fans of the saga wanted.

Like two ki blasts meeting and struggling to destroy one another, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is a mixed bag of things. It captures the spirit of the anime with its frenetic combat and ridiculous overacting but stumbles mightily with an impenetrable tutorial and convoluted structure.

While Dragonball Xenoverse 2 has plenty of content based off of the franchise’s long history, the gameplay will most likely start to feel stale long before then.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is hard to recommend as it's so similar to the first, but if you're new to Xenoverse and a fan of Dragon Ball I can heartily endorse this game. If you've played the first, well... It's still good, just not really a must-have.

Xenoverse 2 definitely serves up more content than the predecessor and looks crisp in 60fps. But nonetheless the visuals are totally outdated while the time travel theme leads to some poor design choices like replaying quite a few fights from part 1. The fighting mechanics can salvage a lot, though.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse is not as surprising the second time around, and sometimes disappoints - when counting the elements imported straight from the first game. Cooperation with friends could be fun, but single-player soon wanes. A sequel should offer more.

Xenoverse 2 has a pretty cool way of combining fighting games and Destiny, just like it's predecessor. But it does not get a lot better than pretty cool, unfortunately.

This new Dragon Ball game doesn't introduce anything really new and has some technical issues but overall this mix of different genres can generate lots of fun and still has some potential. It's a pity that Xenoverse 2 looks like game created by a soulless machine - it could be great.

Untainted by the realization that you've done this all before, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will be a good buy. Beyond that, Bandai Namco has essentially hit the rewind button.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is, at best, a minimal improvement over its predecessor while sharing a lot of the same issues, but there’s just something so endearing about how it all came together.

Is this a title worth getting? I’d say yes most definitely if you are a fan. If you are not then you certainly will need to make sure that you are ready for a massive game where you will not have any idea who most of the characters are. Having said that the entire title is pretty well rounded off, and the character development is interesting enough to keep you playing, but not so hard it will put you off.
