Broken Pieces is a project created by a software house still in its infancy, an adventure that unfortunately has proved problematic on several fronts. Net of the pleasant setting that is the background to the events narrated, the plot fails to involve the player, most of the puzzles are uninteresting and repetitive and the combat phases are nothing more than a filler that tires already at the second meeting with the opponents, all equal to each other. In short, unless you are satisfied with a walk in a beautiful French town, Broken Pieces does not have much to offer, not even for fans of the reference genre.

Blind Fate: Edo no Yami stems from an intriguing concept that reworks mythology and folklore of feudal Japan to transport them into a dystopian future populated by bloodthirsty machines. Its blind protagonist is a truly remarkable gimmick, especially once placed in such a context. That said, in the field of game design there are too many problems overlapping one another, starting from the cumbersome controls and the perceptible input lag, up to an imperfect management of the checkpoints and the absence of explanations on the very functioning of fundamental mechanics. It's really a shame, because the art direction is certainly as good as the soundtrack.

Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires is a title that, if taken in small doses, is absolutely capable of pampering and entertaining the admirers of the saga and of the strategic drift undertaken by the Empires vein. However, its combat system is still too immature and repetitive, especially when compared to the achievements of the licensed musou that Omega Force and Koei Tecmo Games have given us in recent years. Thanks to the dated technical sector and the questionable recycling of equally obsolete assets, we find no reason that can justify the publisher's decision to offer it at full price.

Hellboy: Web of Wyrd is an insufficient game in almost every way. Unfortunately, the love that the development team must have for the franchise is not reflected in an action roguelike, slow, cumbersome and terribly lacking in variety. There are few aspects to save: the characterization of the protagonist, the bosses at the end of the level, the impacts of Red's attacks. However, there are many stumbles that leave a bad taste in the mouth: a lackluster level design, a poorly diversified progression and a technical structure that makes the gameplay not very fun. A wasted opportunity to bring Mike Mignola's splendid works back to life. Sin.

Necromunda Hired Gun rests its foot on the accelerator of dynamism and violence, yet it has an imprecise aim. Many of its problems derive from strictly technical stumbles, some of which can be solved with special updates (such as bugs or application crashes), while others are innate in its playful DNA, and have to do with feedback from the shots almost totally absent, with an artificial intelligence crude beyond belief, and with a general flatness of the shootings. Net of a fairly interesting story capable of offering some interesting narrative crossroads, the first work of GoldKnights did not fully convince us. The main problems lie in the gameplay of The Last Oricru: the combat system is cumbersome and not always perfectly responsive, a situation further aggravated by significant drops in frame rates.
