This new edition of Toukiden is a great option for those who are looking for a good monster slayer title with a superb presentation; it has a lot of variety in its monsters and gameplay possibilities. Tekken 7 is a great game that fulfills all that is promises: it offers great and deep gameplay mechanics, enjoyable game modes, a cast of colorful and diverse characters, and splendid cinematics and scenarios. Sadly, all of its content doesn't go beyond what any other fighting game offers and one of its most important features (the Story Mode) doesn't work so well. Overall, it's a good game that, without a doubt, could have been better.

Suikoden I&II HD Remaster Gate Rune & Dunan Unification Wars is by no means perfect, as we've already explained throughout this review, however, it is a work that was undoubtedly done with taste and passion, fulfilling the complicated mission of bringing back these two RPGs of yesteryear. Who do we recommend it to? Well, I think that if you are a fan of this series, you will be more than happy with what is presented to us this time. I would also say that if you have never given it a chance, this is a truly unbeatable one, because in addition to the fact that you will be playing two brilliant representatives of this great genre, you will be able to feel again how special it was to enjoy any Konami production when the brand was at its best.

Thanks to its very clear objectives, Ninja Gaiden 4 brings back the series in a mostly solid way. However, flaws such as poor level design, repetitive ideas, and a general fear of trying genuinely new things hold it back from being something much more significant for the medium and for this new face of PlatinumGames. Long-time fans, and likely a good number of new admirers, will find a very solid and intense hack and slash that brings out the values ​​that the genre has always had, but precisely because it wants to stay within that very traditional line, it drags along some of the vices that had been overcome over the years.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a super charming game with a lot of detail and love for all Lego and Star Wars fans alike. The problem is that despite the changes, it still a Lego game, with boring mechanics and a confusing structure.

Severed is a good touch game with a curious and innovative combat system that includes interesting mechanics. On the other side, Severed is a very good short game that shines on its metroidvania style and the environmental puzzles design.

Marathon is a difficult game to recommend. It's undeniable that Bungie has done a great job with this title, but it's not an experience for everyone. The gameplay is too aggressive for a large portion of the audience, and even those initially interested may be discouraged by the steep learning curve. It remains to be seen whether this game has what it takes to survive this challenging period for games as a service, but if anyone can make it happen, it's Bungie.

Just as with Shovel Knight, the other game published by Yacht Club Games, Cyber Shadow is a true homage to classic NES games, in particular to the Ninja Gaiden trilogy. It has all the elements that we remember fondly from those years, such as a retro sound and looks, but it complements them with modern gameplay mechanics. If we take off some of its visual effects and its resolution, I do see myself playing it in a classic 8-bit console. You only need the directional pad and two buttons to play it.

A great return of Aloy. Going back to the world of Horizon Forbidden West is wonderful. Surprisingly, the story told by Burning Shores is quite important and a prequel for a potential Horizon 3. Graphics are stunning. One of the most impressive games nowadays.

Kirby: Planet Robobot is one the greatest 2D platformers of the last few years. The way the it builds the gameplay over a great level design, makes it a game that everyone should experience. If you didn't like Triple Deluxe, this is the Kirby game that you were looking for.

As a love letter to JRPGs, Live a Live is a game that no fan of this genre should miss. The remake makes masterful use of HD-2D, bringing new life to a game from almost 30 years ago.

A great remake for one of the most beloved Game Boy Advance games.

While Assassin's Creed: Shadows won't be the salvation Ubisoft is hoping for, it's still a fun experience and one of the greatest games in the series in recent years, and that's what should matter at the end of the day. With nearly 60 hours of gameplay under my belt, I'm going to keep playing because this is an entertaining title that doesn't deserve to be the flop many expect, but it's not going to revolutionize the genre either.

There's still a lot to discover about this game, but as usual Nintendo delivers another great first-party game and a new intellectual property that starts right-footed. A short campaign is the only thing that could be criticized from this otherwise excellent third-person shooter.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE was one of the most colorful, entertaining and visually amazing games from the Wii U that, sadly, most people ignored. Now, this new port for the Nintendo Switch serves as a second chance to get into this fabulous game, all while it adds a fair amount of extra content (previous DLC and new materials) that turn it into the most complete version of the title. It's one game that many will enjoy, specially fans from the RPG genre, the Fire Emblem and/or Shin Megami Tensei/Persona series and, even so those one who played the original title.

HUNT: Showdown has the potential to be one of the very best FPS/horror games out there, but the initial content is not enough to keep the player engaged for long periods of time.

Dontnod is proven with Life is Strange that has the capability to create an excellent game based on narrative. The third chapter let us know more about its interesting characters and has one of the best finals in the game and in the genre.

This is a great game to fill the void left by absent franchises such as F-Zero and WipeOut. While sober with its mechanics, it tries to innovate a little bit with the color changing system that adds another layer of gameplay to the already challenging racing tracks.

Ghostrunner is an excellent action game that can be a blast to play for short bursts, but not so much when spending a whole evening with it.

Even we found less puzzles and applied gameplay mechanics on this part of the game, Life is Strange: Dark Room is a real roller coaster of emotions and feelings, with a lot of responses for a great story that we can’t ignore until it finishes. Without a doubt this is one of the most intense episodes of the game, and we love that. A nice emotional surprise.

Life is Strange: True Colors has the best characters in the whole series, but at the same time, it also has the weakest story. The narrative takes way too long to take off, and by that time, it might already be too late for many players.

Shantae is back in a beautiful game with terrific soundtrack and solid gameplay mechanics. Half-Genie Hero is the most linear adventure on the series but it is still a fun experience for the platformer games lovers.

Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road marks a triumphant return for one of Level-5's most beloved series. With excellent presentation, a robust story mode, and content for hundreds of hours of gameplay across its other modes.

This first episode for Life is Strange 2 is one of the biggest surprises of 2018 so far. Dontnod Entertainment not only has improved its saga in a technical way, but the script and characterization for the game presents huge and delicate topics among the American culture.

Spirit of Justice is a new entry for the Ace Attorney series, one that lacks any innovations but that offers more of that fabulous formula that has distinguished the franchise. Although there are no surprises in its gameplay, what the title gives you is another chapter where you can find the fun of being a lawyer.

In the end, if you consider yourself a fan of the franchise and also of the world of fighting games, you should definitely get yourself a copy, whether physical or digital. It's a hit of nostalgia for those who enjoyed the releases of the past, and even more so for users who haven't put them down in all this time. Final Fantasy XV is a really impressive game with a simple, yet deep story and gameplay, great attention to details, a rich cast of characters and an immense and gorgeous world map; it simple looks outstanding in every way. Ironically, its enormous world map and excessive amount of things affects it in many bad ways, some of them that even end up damaging its graphics, bugging or even braking your sessions. Albeit it is great, its own filse-size and dimension ended up messing with it.

Besides some minor technical and A.I. issues, Assassin's Creed Origins merges up as an astonishing, dynamic world where Bayek begins the history of the franchise. It surely represents a great way to celebrate 10 years of Assassin's Creed and a redemption chance for Ubisoft as a developer.

A great new version for an awesome Zelda entry. Skyward Sword looks great in HD and 60fps, but it lacks extra content.

The use of the Star Wars license was very good with these two tables. We loved the second mini table on Might of the First Order, it’s a fun and fresh mechanic on the Star Wars Pinball catalogue.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is a great turned base JRPG ideal to everyone. It doesn't matter if you are new to the genre or the Monster Hunter series, this a game that you can pick up and have a lot of fun with it.

Planet Zoo is another great game of Frontier Developments. The way it modernize the Tycoon genre, is really interesting and a most have to all the fans of this kind of games.

If you have already experienced the previous games, you definitely have to continue with this compilation full of moments of uncertainty, seriousness and comedy that cannot be missing from the series. On the other hand, if you want to start here, there is really nothing that prevents it, but the ideal is that you already know how everything works in these courts.

The fans of the Far Cry series should not worry. Here's a bold game with a great story, memorable villains and fun gameplay. If we add the Arcade Mode that's already included with the game and the future DLC's, then we'll be playing Far Cry 5 for a long time.

Immortals Fenyx Rising is a great game that shouldn't live in the shadow of Breath of the Wild. Similar to the story between Fenyx and her brother, Ligyron, the new title has shown its full potential, and has managed to excel.

Stellar Blade has great merit when we see it from a production point of view and as Shift Up's letter of introduction to the international market. As an exclusive to the PlayStation 5, it lets us see that the industry is willing to expand and show us the AAA proposals that other regions have for us. Despite its positive points, the title offers us a generic story and gameplay mechanics that lack depth, although the presentation and production levels are impressive.

A good example of the definition of a sequel. It delivers and fulfills everything it promises, while expanding the universe of the vocaloid. Fans will be amazed by the amount of costumes and the opportunity to interact with their favourite idols.

Treyarch give us an idea about how crazy the future can be in terms on war and super soldiers using the technology as an advantage. It's a shame that besides all the new improvements made in the game and multiplayer that feel like something totally new, due to a boring campaign and empty characters, this Call of Duty is a step back in the narrative and far from perfection.

Maldita Castilla EX its great game for those who love old school titles that offer challenge, require skill, and represent a journey to nostalgia. You will enjoy its level design and immersive setting. Highly recommend.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is one of the funniest experiences of the year. Despite the connection errors and simple current state, the game has the potential to be as popular as other titles in the battle royale genre.

With new gear, 16 new shrines, 1 new divine beast and a new great boss, The Champion’s Ballad offers hour of the best elements in BOTW (including exploring and combat). It might not be narrative driven but overall the experience is fun and challenging.

A PlayStation masterpiece in a great format. The improvements on frame rate let us enjoy the great combat system of God of War III in a smooth way, and the photo mode is an interesting feature. Nothing new for those who enjoy the original game, just the better graphics.

The combat system doesn't present anything completely new, but everything it does offer is well done. The transformations, in particular, give a unique touch to each encounter, providing a variety and customization that are the foundation of the experience. Meanwhile, the world design, while somewhat clumsy, places great weight on exploration and rewards all those who decide to visit every possible corner, whether with items or additional boss fights. The end result is a very fun experience that, despite feeling longer than it should be, does meet some of the public's expectations, although clearly not all.

AAA video game development is in the middle of a serious crisis and I think Senua's Saga: Hellblade II is proof of this. Having been in development for almost seven years tells us that for every year, an hour of gameplay was built. It's crazy. Ninja Theory is delivering a very good product that does justice to the name it bears, but in more than one section, it does leave things to be desired, especially in what has to do with its scope and own ambitions. The use of Unreal 5 is spectacular, but I wonder if going for this technology that is just beginning, did not end up affecting the game, since it is also worth remembering that after being bought by Xbox in 2018, the British studio grew to more than 100 employees; That is to say, we are no longer talking about a small production, far from it.

At least in my case, I can already tell you that the first candidate for Game of the Year has arrived, and boy did it arrive early. How much does 2023 hold for us if we are having such a special start?

In an age where every JRPG offers us complex experiences, with hundreds of hours of content and multiple systems at our disposal, Fantasian Neo Dimension is a little Bailey's chocolate. The first bite is something everyone can appreciate, the sweetness immediately grabs the player, but once you get to the end of the bite, you're likely to feel something too strong for you, but at the same time it's addictive, and it's hard not to eat another one.

The Artful Escape is a wonderful audiovisual experience with a lot of great moments and a intense story. If you like this types of games, you should try it.

While F1 25 doesn't represent a revolution within the franchise, it does consolidate and refine key elements, ensuring that fans of the series enjoy a more polished and immersive experience.

NBA 2K18 proves again that they're one of the best sports games of the year. But several of its features are starting to feel the same year after year. They need a radical change to keep innovating in the future. The MyCareer mode has more changes than the other modes, with a social experiment that not all fans are keen of. It has an excessive use of microtransactions that might demoralize the fans that try their best to be on the top.

Amnesia: Rebirth feels like a huge step forward for the franchise and any horror fan should definitely give this a try.
