    With its evocative setting and a delectable mix of PvE and PvP gameplay that provides a peerless theater for emergent player stories, Hunt: Showdown is an exceptionally clever and thoughtful shooter that elevates the genre as a whole. I can see Hunt Showdown being a fixture of my gaming diet for months, even years to come.

    The PS4 version is very close to the PC version even if it a bit less impressive visually. There are a few graphic bugs on the water surfaces, nothing really bad. Whether it's for matchmaking or framerate, the experience is complete. Clearly the best co-op FPS of 2019.

    Hunt: Showdown is perfect for gamers who are in it for the long haul. Those that love the rush of endorphins that come with a long-sought-after victory, and who are okay with death after death after near-victory after dumb mistake/disconnection/other tragedy that hinders an otherwise flawless ascent towards the next bloodline level.

    I'll admit I wasn’t keen on Hunt: Showdown to start with, but after the first few matches I realised there's something special here. This is an unusual entry in a genre ruled by far snappier shooters, and it takes time to get your head around Crytek's clever twist on the formula. Stick with it and you'll be rewarded with a uniquely engrossing multiplayer experience.

    Hunt Showdown is a tactical shooter like no other you´ve ever played. It delivers a great balance between fights, horror elements, stealth... set in 19th century Louisiana. On the downside there is no single player mode and we encountered some problems with matchmaking.

    Hunt could have been so much more. As a hypothetical single player game, in which you carefully research a mark as you make your way through a deep south Gothic nightmare towards the final, hellish, confrontation, Hunt could have been something truly special. But commercial reality won't allow for that. Multiplayer shooters and content-driven live services are where the money's at, and in chasing the money Crytek has produced something that's a whole lot of fun to play, but ultimately shallow, vapid, and a complete waste of all the effort that went into the theme and design of the thing.

    Bloody excellent, once you get used to the guns and all then it's a lot of fun.     The best game I have played. I now have 300 hours and still love it! The deves are always listening to the community and making changes,The best game I have played. The atmosphere (Like all the other comments say) is stunning. I'd recommend playing as a solo at least once. It is a 30 minute adrenalin rush. If you'd like to learn more about the game, go checkout the subreddit as there is plenty of reviews/ player experiences to read/ watch. All I have to say on this short post is that I've had the best gaming experiences of my life in this game.… Expand

My main reason was to play something with friends and ps4 is very limited in that regard it's a good alternative for all the other shooter that are basically new skin every year like COD and BF. So if you looking for different kind of game to play with friends then this might be a game for you, although not the easiest to get the hang of and PC is filled with diehard so recommend ps4 version.… Expand

It could be a great game if they would have ported it right but as it is right now it's a terrible port and probably the clunkiest controls I've ever used in a shooter game on PS4, it was designed on PC first and they didn't implement any changes aimed towards console and so it feels like a cash grab in that sense. There is fun to be had but it's not worth the full price of admission.… Expand
