    Clunky mechanics, a clustery menu, bad server connectivity, super long load times, everyone gets dced from your lobby or they quit because of you being low level.

    Too hard and repetitive to play for anyone who's not a masochist. You're going to spend most of your time in a loading screen. Very bad PS4 optimization, clunky controls. Nice atmosphere though.

    This game is the worst game I have played in over 20 years with sony. Clunky mechanics, Outdated Game Engine, A Player base which is almost non existent & menus designed for pc, wait I forgot the loading times. Do yourself a favour & buy any Metro Game Instead. Please do not waste your money.

    I am very sad to see Crytek has spent so long working on so little. This is an unfinished game on an outdated game engine. I understand they were trying the "spooky" or "eerie" fps. But perpetual daytime with semi-loaded textures is pretty stupid.

    The biggest disappointment and waste of money. The aiming and controls are clunky and unresponsive. Popping up textures (PS4 Pro) and to be honest You spend more time in lobby matchmaking or on a loading screen than actually playing.

    OK. So the control scheme isnt bad, its these horrible sensitivity adjustments. Like why why why have aim acceleration????? Without that the game would be soo much better. On a side note i have a PS4 Pro on a 4K monitor and the game looks like CRAP. Needs to be optimized for sure. Really wanted this game to be good and ready to play but i dont think it is right now.

    With no way to turn off motion blur, and a 30 fps this feels like a clunky mess of a game. I spent 53$ CND and I am praying Sony will give me my money back. Trying to shoot a dog on the ground feels like a chore mainly because the interface feels like you are looking at blurs along the ground. If you have any sense you will not by this clunky mess of a game.

    Game Ruined by trash pvp mechanics. Bosses bullet sponges and require a group so it sucks if your a solo player. Games like this should have demo regret spending money on it. Can't even level my hunter to level 2 let alone get 5 of them to level 50. On death lose all progress? so in otherwords there is no point to leveling for new perks etc in first place. Also if you use loud guns you can get savaged by 4-6 dogs at once, and other enemies. - The fat butchers do pretty much nothing as long as your at range, the posion guys shoot them afar , always shoot horses on floor, the generics you can head shot them with slienced pistol and flame guy is meh. The armored ones take a few hits best to hit them from range or when perched up high. - Game is honestly ruined by pvp game should just be a hour of monster hunting with random people , picking up clues and solving puzzles. No idea what i am doing wrong but i can't customise anything.… Expand

    Terrible game, camping paradise for all campers of the world. Running half an hour on the map and the get shot by a shotgunner or a guy in the tower 2 km away

    Played 30 minutes...Yet Another survival horror shooter. Moreover I cannot play with my friends spread around the world because they cannot buy it (it has not been published in some countries!!)

    Game has no console optimization whatsoever if you really want this game do not buy the console version. The PS4 player base is almost nonexistent. The game is a very good idea with a ton of poor design decisions that hold it back. There is some moments that are fun but most of the game is frustrating because of the poorly thought out decisions by the developers.     в раннем доступе было норм. Но после Вайпа как-то стало играть неинтересно совсем.
    Геймплей очень медленный, после APEX в это вообще не могу играть.
    Атмосфера норм , но вот читеры на каждом шагу. + мне не понравилась новая система с персонажами покупными    в раннем доступе было норм. Но после Вайпа как-то стало играть неинтересно совсем.

    I was extremely excited when I watched the trailers, but the game is completely different from what I imagined. This isn't an open world type game where you might run into other players, but one in which groups of players all spawn for the same missions.

    This wouldn't be an issue except for the fact that player levels don't seem to come into play with matching and there is a feature to see the other players through the map. My friend and I got slaughtered thanks to this feature. Having weaker characters is one thing, but fighting against Predator's ability seems a little ridiculous. The character and weapon creation is also very confusing and there isn't a walk through feature for this part of the game. We played for 2 days before we deleted this game.

    This game is a dream comes true for me on paper. But in practice, feels unbalanced and not cared for by the devs. Low graphical quality is not a problem for me but getting disconnected every third run -more often at times- is a spit on the face.

    Ok game, could’ve done better if it had PVE co-op included in the game. The cheaters in the game ruined it for most.

    Game is trash, don’t waste your time or money.

    Mechanics are the worst than any FPS ever made. Menu is pathetic. Game is all about camping and seeing who has an hour to waste hiding and getting 1 kill. It’s just a bad game. The devs are useless too.

    I have to alter this review the folloewing problems are still a thing on the PS5 many years later. This game is hands down the worst shooter i have played in 27 years of gaming. Frame rate drops. Lags. Loading times. Enemies that drop from the sky. Headshots that don't count. Blue screen en error 1 out of 10 matches ( not on ps5 anymore) .     One of the ugliest games I've ever seen. Textures from the PS2 era, render distance no more than 40 meters so if you use a sniper everything looks like **** Long ass time to get in a game, and in-game enemies are just plain **** annoying. This game is mega ass

    What's the point of leveling up? if you lose everything you invested in your character every time you die, it doesn't make sense! the gameplay is great, the monsters too, but only that.

    For me, switching from Warzone to Hunt Showdown was like moving from fugazzi slums to British first class mansion and that feeling was what actually kept me tied to this game last 6 months. But let me spill it right here right now - DON'T BUY IT ON PS4!!!

Every kill is a lucky kill because controls are nightmare and I really mean NIGHTMARE... you know when someone is chasing you and you know what to do but just can't because your legs and arms feels numb and out of control, it's exact feeling that you will get if you play Hunt Showdown on PS4 or any other console.
    Athmosphere is great, idea and pacing is awesome, monsters and attention to detail is great, sound is superb and that's all outshadowed by insanely clunky PS4 port. If you wanna play it then play it the way it should be played - play it on PC. Seriously, 2 on 2 gunfight is 15 to 20 FPS... insane mess and frustration.    … Expand

    Horrible execution of this port , very bad controls , textures load in when you are 1-2 meters from them
    so very sad to see this , I do love the concept of this game , but the controls and bugs make it pointless to play

    Do not purchase on any consoles!! They all run at 20 fps and you will be lucky to not come a cross a single bug in the game.

    Literally the worst game, laggy and unbalanced. Special ammo is overpowered, burning zombies everywhere and way too many helldogs, the game is unplayable and I can't enjoy it.

    Absolute crap. Hunt is filled with constant game crashes and incredibly long loading times between each match. When the game actually does work, you really feel the clunky game mechanics. Be prepared to waste an excessive amount of time just trying to understand what is even going on, due to the tutorial explaining absolutely nothing. If you enjoy a first person shooter in which you crouchAbsolute crap. Hunt is filled with constant game crashes and incredibly long loading times between each match. Be prepared to waste an excessive amount of time just trying to understand what is even going on, due to the tutorial explaining absolutely nothing. If you enjoy a first person shooter in which you crouch walk for 40 minutes just to get instakilled by some guy sitting in a bush, then this is the game for you. I really wanted to like this game, I do love the concept, but I have been shocked at how poorly it was executed. There’s clearly been about triple the amount of effort put into making extra skins that you can buy than into the actual gameplay. Personally, I wish I hadn’t wasted my money on this garbage.… Expand

    I'll admit I wasn’t keen on Hunt: Showdown to start with, but after the first few matches I realised there's something special here. This is an unusual entry in a genre ruled by far snappier shooters, and it takes time to get your head around Crytek's clever twist on the formula. Stick with it and you'll be rewarded with a uniquely engrossing multiplayer experience.
