    Borderlands 3 has surpassed the bar that its predecessor had set. The story is grand in scale, the humor is on-point and updated to 2019, weapons are diverse and the new Vault Hunters are unique in every way. Every BL-fan must pick this game up.

    Borderlands 3 is the best game Gearbox has ever made. The weapons are interesting and goofy, the battles are intense and tricky, and the multiple open-worlds are beautiful and full of challenging missions. For Chinese gamers, it might be the most immersive 3A game in recent years because of the wonderful Chinese voice acting.

    Those new to Borderlands will find some aspects confusing at first – Borderlands 3 is minimal when it comes to tutorials – but if they persist, they will end up luxuriating in the joyous, tongue-in-cheek, comic book-influenced fun it provides. Sure, it fails to turn the franchise into something new and futuristic in gameplay terms. But why would it, when its original conception was already immaculate?

    Borderlands 3 is more Borderlands, and all the loot that entails. This proper sequel improves upon the formula with more guns, but more importantly, a stretch of unique planets to kill enemies on. The new planets offer more visual variety and a great evolution of enemy encounters. The tuning is clearly meant for more than one player, making a punitive experience at times for the solo Vault Hunter. Despite the formula growing a bit stale, Gearbox has expanded upon it in the right way, resulting in a great Borderlands experience.

    Gearbox is at their best when they’re engineering the act of shooting something. If their game would just shut up and let the gleeful gunplay speak for itself, Borderlands would go a lot further. Instead, the gunplay is clogged up with meaningless loot, smugly unfunny jokes, and lots of using the same ol’ gun while waiting for the parsimonious skill point drip to finally drop. Where’s the glee in all that?

    while I hear that this game is having many technical issues I have just put in a solid 24 hours and completed my first playthrough of the game. during that time I had no lag issues and only crashed once while entering a vault.
    the gameplay is solid, fluid and vibrant with a lot going on at any given point.
    a massive overhaul on graphics and the engine being used from previous games.
    I loved the game and the jokes and comedic side was great something to keep me chuckling throughout the game.
    the game may have some minor issues but im sure these can be fixed.
    a great looter shooter which will have you looking at the floor for ages deciding what gun will be next to enter your massive loot arsenal.    … Expand

    And the Story and new characters are just awful. I will not explain, how bad the calypsos are written, I raged enough about then ^^
    I would maximum spend 15€ for this. And for that, you get the handsome collection from BL2 in sale (and that is already normal for this pack), with a fantastic story and long term gameplay.    … Expand

Definitely a big improvement in graphics, and especially the gameplay. Unfortunately the story wasn't so good, but BL is not known for its good story telling. The main problem with this though is that the story is so annoying your just trying to get through it as quickly as possible. The lack of side quest and optional maps really felt like your just grinding through the story mode to get to the end, the whole time wishing you were just playing BL2. I understand that for a lot of people this game is appealing but for me I'm just going to go back to BL2. Glad I didn't get the season pass...Only reason I'm giving it a 4 rather than a 6 is out of frustration. This was one of the most anticipated games for me, and I feel like I paid 70 bucks to get disappointed.… Expand

But I cannot enjoy the game if I can't have a decent amount of frames. I play this game on Epic games after downloading Epic Launcher for the first time. I've made this account on metacritic so I can actually review the game and warn anyone who are planning to get the game this early. My laptop is Acer Nitro 15 with 1050ti and it can play Apex Legends lowest settings 1080p without having any problem reaching and maintaining 60 fps. But when I play Borderlands 3, an expected non-demanding game in terms of graphics, I cannot maintain 60 fps on 1080p. So i switched to 900p to try to enjoy the game I paid $60 for, but the frames are the same. This tells me one thing, my laptop is not the problem, it is the optimization that was so bad that certain places cut my 50-60 fps average (both on 1080p and 900p) into half, 30-40 fps. I also encountered the laggy main menu problem. I also found problems with the inventory because sometimes a gun is in a slot but the thumbnail is a grenade. This AAA $60 game launched worst than a FREE Battle Royale game (apex legends). I have submitted a refund request through Epic Refund Policy email, and after 2 days later, I have not received any reply yet. Now I see why Epic won't add reviews feature into their platform, so they can control the narrative and reviews so the games on their platforms look better than they actually are.… Expand
