Updates some of the old songs from the series to band play, but the set list leaves lot to be desired. Sure, there are lots of hits in there, but also lots of misses that should’ve been left buried in time. Original versions of the songs instead of covers are nice addition, however. GTA on steroids. Huge city, very brutal combat, cool super powers and an interesting plot ensures that Prototype is one of this summer's hit games. There's a lot of gore, so this game has 18+ written all over it. [July 2009]- Pelit (Finland)

A quite good tennis game. The MotionPlus-support makes all the difference. Without it the game feels clumsy ja awkward. What's with the constant and annoying MotionPlus-activation, though? [July 2009]- Pelit (Finland)

Rock Band Unplugged proves that music games can work surprisingly well on handheld consoles, too. The Amplitude-like gameplay works great and the song selection is good. A game worthy of the Rock Band name.- Pelit (Finland)

The Sims 3 delivers most of its promises. Modeling an entire small town works extremely well, and even though many features from previous installments will be available only in later add-ons, there's still a ridiculous amount of stuff to do. Technically it's pretty awesome as well. [June 2009]- Pelit (Finland)

Good show yet again, Mr Holmes. The master detectives latest adventure pits him and doctor Watson against the nefarious killer Jack the Ripper in a dark and dangerous adventure of creative and interesting puzzles based on detective work. Might be a bit too easy for veterans of the genre though. [Feb 2010]- Pelit (Finland)

Terminator Salvation has an interesting setting, but boils it down to a little bit too simple rail shooter. The saving grace of the game is co-op multiplayer, which is good fun compared to somewhat dull single player experience. [June 2009]- Pelit (Finland)

With Plants vs Zombies, Popcap cements its place as masters of polished, casual gaming that still hits its mark even with grizzled gaming vet. Even though the first playthrough of Plants vs Zombies is far too easy, second one combined with the survival mode and the multitude of minigames offers a lot of replayability. The biggest star though is in the graphic design, all the plants and zombies in the game are drawn and designed with funny wit and style. One can't help but love those little flowers fighting it out. The best of the released add-ons for Fallout 3, because the new level cap, perks and events breathe life even into the old content. The basic problems of undramatic storytelling and lack of polish remain, and the overabundandace of equipment has eliminated the fun of gathering resources. [June 2009]- Pelit (Finland)

If you don't generate monkey rage over non-essential side details, basic gameplay in Velvet Assassin is quite good and setting are sometimes great. For some reason, linear on-rick pony gameplay is not a bad thing in games like Gears of War or Call of Duty. [July 2009]- Pelit (Finland)

Neverwinter Nights 2: Mysteries of Westgate is technically a bit clunky but otherwise it’s the best fun for Neverwinter since Mask of the Betrayer. The story is delightfully old school and focuses more on adventure and less on combat, which creates nice mystery atmosphere.- Pelit (Finland)

Helldorado offers some good old challenge in a form of an puzzle game. Unfortunately the game runs in real time. In this case a turn based system would work much better. One of those games that you either love or hate since it’s basically just full of quicktime events. Luckily they are very well done and don’t require the player to have superhuman reflexes. Instead of being frustrated you can marvel at the high speed acrobatics, which is exactly what you should be doing in this kind of game. Still, it gets repetitive pretty fast, so the game only works while enjoyed in small bits. [May 2009]- Pelit (Finland)

The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena gets stuck in one gear for too long. Even though the game has many same aspects as the great Escape from Butcher Bay, the pacing is bad and the action forces you to run through the same corridors over and over again. The included Escape from Butcher Bay is still a masterpiece, however. [Mar 2009]- Pelit (Finland)

Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars – Director's Cut was first published in 1997 and was followed by three more sequels on various platforms. It was one of the best point and click adventure game of the time because of the exceptionally good plot, funny dialogue, strong and unforgettable characters topped with good playability. Fallout 3: The Pitt has better pacing, more freedom and more interesting locations than Operation: Anchorage. You can't judge the whole series by the first episode, but if you could, Grand Adventures would be top quality already. The game adaptation hasn't lost the spirit of the wax-animation series, on the contrary, the game feels like a natural companion to them. The plot's nice, voice-acting's good and the puzzles are enjoyable, although a little too easy. Few rough edges still remain, but the future's looking good. Cracking job, Telltale! Runes of Magic blatantly copies almost everything from World of Warcraft and makes it completely free to buy and play. The dual class system works great and the crafting and item enhancing are very addictive. The world and story are very cliched and boring, however. Runes lacks the polish of subscription based MMO's, but as a free to play game it's nice occasional fun and doesn't need to directly compete with big market tittles. [May 2009]- Pelit (Finland)

The pocket-size Resistance tries it's best to imitate a shooter on PSP. Unfortunately the PSP itself sets boundaries, which are impossible to go around. The controls don't work and the lack of precision is aided with automatic aiming, which practically kills all the challenge. The graphics are good, there are few good one-liners, and the story is worth checking out. It's a shame, that the game tumbles in basics. [May 2009]- Pelit (Finland)

A technically flawless, movie-like episode of the famous survival horror series, although this time the focus is on action and not survival or even horror. Stylized over the top cartoon violence in black and white.... and blood-red. There's a lot to like in MadWorld. Only for a brief time however since the game doesn't have depth or longevity. Ceville is a traditional point 'n click adventure with an evil twist – Ceville himself. Its strongest point are the main characters, especially the evil little tyrant Ceville, reminiscent of the great Iznogould. The puzzles are well-made, as is the voice acting. Graphics, use of colour and the music all add to the nice faery-tale-like feeling. On the con side there are still some bugs to be fixed and sometimes the dialogue isn't witty at all, even though it tries hard to be. Overall Ceville is an enjoyable game and adventure gamers shouldn't miss it. [May 2009]- Pelit (Finland)

Very much an average take on JRPG genre. While it does offer a long story brimming with anime cliches and conventions, and more than enough options to customize your characters and their skills, the plot feels bland, stumbling from plot twist to another, and the character cast something we've seen a thousand times before. Action sequences outside boss fights, while fast-paced and even fun quickly become repetetive button mashers without much tactics or thinking needed. [July 2009]- Pelit (Finland)

An interesting attempt to re-invent RTS genre. It does many things right, like reward system, and is generally fun to play. As a game it feels like a prequel to Dawn of War -series: Bit too simplistic combat without any real threat of defeat and too many generic missions with, my God, end bosses!
