    The sum is greater then the whole with Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings. The two player adventure is well done, and the classic Fate of Atlantis game holds up to this day.

    Staff of Kings tries to do so many things that it fails to nail any of them. The combat is clumsy, the adventuring is dull, the shooting is uninspired and the presentation is severely lacking.

    The story here is entertaining, and a fun globetrotter. The motion controls work to say the least, though there is a lot to be desired.

    The real meat of this game lies in it's bonus content. The multiplayer coop and death match aren't the best in the world, but they are definitely enjoyable, and I'd recommend to the coop to anyone, assuming they already own it. It's not much, but it's good fun.
    But there's something else. You can unlock Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis for MSDOS, through the SCUMMVM engine. I would've written a review on it's page, but it doesn't exist so I'm writing it here. I would consider Fate of Atlantis to be one of the best point and click adventure games of all time, and is worth it not only for Indy fans, but for anyone interested in p&c/a games. I'd say the Wii version isn't the best way to play, but it isn't bad. Using the wiimote in place of a mouse and keyboard works, but isn't preferable in a lot of cases. There are also somethings you just can't do, but they aren't things required to beat or enjoy the game to it's fullest, they're mostly just different things you can do in combat.
    If it weren't for TFoA, this game would have a much lower score, but it really ties this whole package together.    … Expand

Visually it was fun to look at, with great locations that really deliver the Indy spirit home. Environmental fighting was great fun, and the motion controls worked suprisingly well (just don't expect hooks to work until you get the hang of it). Great rental play-through for single-player, co-op is pretty meh as it removes the fighting and replaces cinematic cut-scenes with comic-book styled drawings.… Expand

What's left though is a tedius trek through a world made up of invisible ledges and impassible waist high boulders. In other words, though the game is very linear, the next step may become confusing. This game looked so promising at first for the interesting gunplay mechanics and the idea that you could pretty much use everything as a weapon. None of the game works. The gunplay is actually generic, a failure, and is never a challenge. The combat system is hard because it barely works and is hard to control. There is even a multiplayer mode where Indiana Jones and hi father have to work together in a completely separate adventure which, too, isn't fun at all. The vehicles are hard to control and the game is so generic it is nearing the unplayable line. The game doesn't even have the Indiana Jones charm. The only thing fun about this game is that it includes the classic Indiana Jones Atlantis game that still stands out among other games (like this one). Its a shame, but be warned that game is generic, hard to control, and repetitive.… Expand
