A great Adventure Pack, and it is an easy campaign to do and level fast.
-
Pelit (Finland)Neverwinter Nights 2: Mysteries of Westgate is technically a bit clunky but otherwise it’s the best fun for Neverwinter since Mask of the Betrayer. The story is delightfully old school and focuses more on adventure and less on combat, which creates nice mystery atmosphere.
-
LEVEL (Czech Republic)Perfect ratio of fight and talk makes this new Neverwinter add-on a must have for all RPG fans. Seek no innovations here, Westgate offers nothing but believable living worlds, free of all fantasy clichés. [July 2009]
-
It’s not a third expansion, just a well done mini-campaign. The adventure takes place in busy Westgate and some smaller areas, there is no world outside of the city walls. There are a lot of things to do, weird characters to meet and dialogues which even surpass the quality of the main game from time to time.
-
Yes, the mask is inconsequential except as a topic of conversation and the story sometimes seems to lose its focus, but the quests are enjoyable and the opportunity for real roleplaying abounds.
-
If you have played Storm, and don’t mind the slightly dated stylings of this game, you should still find yourself entertained.
-
PC Gamer UKTechnically a step backwards, but solid enough to scratch the itch of those desperate for another Neverwinter night. [Aug 2009, p.82]
