  1. It’s not a third expansion, just a well done mini-campaign. The adventure takes place in busy Westgate and some smaller areas, there is no world outside of the city walls. There are a lot of things to do, weird characters to meet and dialogues which even surpass the quality of the main game from time to time.

Yes, the mask is inconsequential except as a topic of conversation and the story sometimes seems to lose its focus, but the quests are enjoyable and the opportunity for real roleplaying abounds.
  3. If you have played Storm, and don’t mind the slightly dated stylings of this game, you should still find yourself entertained.

It has some good plot points and character development. But the story's shortcomings show the trials a young studio endures as it learns to craft a tale.
  5. Mysteries of Westgate finally debuts for Neverwinter Nights 2, with decidedly mixed results.

Technically a step backwards, but solid enough to scratch the itch of those desperate for another Neverwinter night. [Aug 2009, p.82]

The focus on storytelling and interesting quests instead of pure combat makes Mysteries of Westgate a great adventure for all D&D fans. Music The focus on storytelling and interesting quests instead of pure combat makes Mysteries of Westgate a great adventure for all D&D fans. Music is excellent, city design is very well done, quests are very interesing, characters are sometimes pretty humorous, and considering the price and being a DLC, not the full expansion pack, MoW is pretty much a must-buy for every adventure-loving RPG fan.
