Neverwinter Nights 2: Storm of Zehir tries to hark back to the good old days of 80’s computer rpgs, but falls short in every aspect. The lack of story makes everything feel bland and the free-roaming world map is filled with annoying amounts of random encounters. [Jan 2009]- Pelit (Finland)

Adds a great bunch of new songs to the On Tour experience. The game works as well as possible on a DS, but the mobile platform just cannot fake the feeling of playing a guitar. [Jan 2009]- Pelit (Finland)

What could've been a good sequel to a great RPG is shot down by several shortcomings including (but not limited to) out-of-date graphics, numerous flaws in the storytelling department and a dull and lifeless world. While Dawn works as a nostalgia trip for Symphonia fans, it just doesn't have much to offer to other players. [Jan 2010]- Pelit (Finland)

If you have beer and if you have friends, this game is good fun for the weekend. For those who are flying solo, wrestling might get boring pretty fast. The computer isn't that tough for an opponent and the controls are a bit sloppy. [Mar 2009]- Pelit (Finland)

The kings of the silly and witty make their way to the consoles. Sam&Max is still one of the funniest games on the shelves. The Wii version suffers a little inaccuracy of the mote control but fortunately it doesn't spoil the fun. If you crave for an adventure and haven't tried this out, now is the time. A B-movie version of current music games. The setlist is mediocre and all of the performances are covers. The gameplay itself is too punishing on the timing and the way notes scroll directly from top to bottom of the screen is just hard to follow. [June 2009]- Pelit (Finland)

Probably the best PC-version in the series so far. The game looks great and new animations add freshness to the gameplay. Mouse and keyboard control is a nice addition, although it is a bit clumsy in action. There are also some problems with joypad and keyboard controls. [Sept 2008]- Pelit (Finland)

A mediocre take on survival horror genre, and sadly not very impressive debut for the series on new console generation. We've seen these puzzles and these fighting mechanics already in dozen different games of the same genre. The hellish visions of Otherworld evoke good horror feelings, but they're soon dragged to ground by far too frequent fights which become more or less routine after few first encounters. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed takes the use of the force to a new level. Sometimes all the overpowering abilities can make the game feel a bit too easy, but luckily the balance is usually well preserved. It would've been fun to see a bit more lightsaber action, but Force Unleashed is still entertainingly fast and furious ride where you finally get to do something real with force. Throwing stormtroopers to chasms with force grip just never gets old. [Sept 2008]- Pelit (Finland)

A Medieval action RPG with a great battle system, and there are many ways you can play the game. The game doesn't have a storyline, which is why it becomes a bit boring and pointless after a while, but it does have many good mods and they will keep the game fresh. [Sept 2008]- Pelit (Finland)

More or less the same game as its predecessor. Atmosphere is still amazing and zone is a fascinating place to adventure in, but there is far too much travelling back and forth and there still isn't any real story to talk of. Viva Piñata: Pocket Paradise combines gardening to piñata collecting quite pleasantly. At first there seems to be almost too much to accomplish, but all too soon game play becomes repetitive. Race 07 was just a season update for Race, and GTR Evolution continues to same direction. It adds the game some cars and legendary Nordscleife track, but basicly that's all. Everything is quite nice but nothing rises above the minimum level of hardcore racing simulators. Graphics engine looks like 5 years old. Production cars, that should shine brightly, look like plastic cars with plastic shine. In race cars that effect didn't bother, but with production cars graphics engine show its lack of ability to draw realistic lighting effects. Race 07 with GTR Evolution is very good game, but nothing else. Hopefully Simbin starts to do something completely different after these season updates, which have been continuing for too long now. And I hope I don't ever have to copy my review from one year old game anymore. [Sept 2008]- Pelit (Finland)

Needs rethinking of basics. To begin with, US vs Syria is just not interesting. Secondly, gamewise it is only highly irritating when game needs heavy micromanaging, but while you do that, other troops just die silently and if you blink, you might miss the tank that killed them. How about some user friendliness? [Jan 2009]- Pelit (Finland)

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames is as perfect as sequels come. It takes everything that was good with the original title and polishes it to a mirror sheen perfection. Flatout Ultimate Carnage shows how to do the best possible gaming entertainment. PC-version is a straight conversion from Xbox 360, so everything looks the same and feels the same. Although, Bugbear should have made the real PC-like menus and better steering wheel support for PC. Even so, UC is filled with pure gasoline and testosteroine and is absolutely fun to play. An interesting combination of ancient mythology and modern scifi-stories, but ultimately it's chunky and tedious gameplay prevents it from becoming a significant represententative of the scifi-action-rpg-subgenre already dominated by Mass Effect. Battlefield Bad Company’s solo campaign has great characters and blowing stuff up is fun, even if it all does look quite fake. Still the action lacks the final kick for greatness, now it's merely good fun. Multiplayer is the true heart of the game and makes good use of the destructible environments. The weapons are a bit underpowered, otherwise multiplayer works great. [Aug 2008]- Pelit (Finland)

Top Spin 3 is much more realistic than the previous games of the series, mostly because of the new control mechanics. It takes more than just slapping the ball around to beat the versatile AI. A nice Dracula themed point'n click adventure, which comes with decent voice acting and beautiful graphics. Unfortunately the game doesn't exploit the potential of the characters of Van Helsing and Count Dracula. Half of the story is wasted in weird Egypt episode. A very addicting puzzle game where you solve different physics-based block puzzles. The Wii controls work great in this game and everything feels very natural. The game has hundreds of levels and a very easy-to-use editor, so you can create your own levels after you have completed the game. Maybe the best part of the game is the multiplayer which has lots of different options and game modes that will keep you interested for a long time. The worst part of the game is the shooting levels that just are not very fun to play. [June 2008]- Pelit (Finland)

Grand Theft Auto IV delivers on most of the huge expectations placed on it. The graphics are beautiful next-gen quality, the storyline is a solid piece of writing and manages to feel serious yet entertaining, but most of all the game's environment is amazing. Mario Kart Wii against 11 real opponents is intense and exhilarating. Sometimes it's also infuriating but in the end that too is mostly a good thing. Still, something should have been done to the power ups of old. Fire and forget weapons and small chances of escape aren't the best combination. Bows deeply to the classics like Monkey Island or Maniac Mansion but more importantly it still has a good, unique feel to it. Although Mr. Keane's adventure is an old-fashioned point'n click adventure the fresh environments, tricky puzzles and witty humour make it a great adventure game. I really enjoyed Frogwares' first 3D Holmes adventure Awakened, so my expectations were high. Lupin vs. Holmes is actually a better game than Awakened was. Puzzles are challenging and more logical and the third dimension is now better present in the problem solving. The story is a little predictable, but so what? The playground is rich in 19th century atmosphere and the voice acting is fine. On the minus side, the game includes too much pixel-hunting. [Mar 2008]- Pelit (Finland)

After a great fourth episode I was expecting a little drop in the season finale, but for my surprise the Telltale team played with unholy magic and season finale is almost as good as Chariots of the Dogs. The intro of the game makes you wait for more than you will get. The storyline is intriguing and it unfolds in an unorthodox and occasionally unexpected way. Overclocked offers rich and deep characters and a very movie-like experience not often seen in games. Unfortunately, the game lacks challenging puzzles and the dialogue is too simplified.
