Blade Chimera is Team Ladybug's first original metroidvania. This means that it is not based on any franchise, but its story and characters were made from scratch by the development team. And, as expected for those of us who have played their previous titles, the result is a resounding success. Not only is it a fun game, but each of its components work in harmony to create a polished and balanced experience.- Malditos Nerds

The Spirit of the Samurai is a very creative and ambitious game, although with nuances. It is a game that presents an interesting story, but its execution on a playable level leaves something to be desired. The stop motion animation is frankly impressive, but it seems to have been achieved at the cost of a lack of polish in its systems. The title loses important points because of all this, although it also wins because of the courage Digital Mind had to try something different.- Malditos Nerds

Marvel Rivals is not a bad video game, but I think it has much more to offer to the Marvel fan than to the gamer. It takes advantage of all the knowledge of that universe to make a competitive multiplayer experience and in that field it manages to bring the two worlds very close in short, entertaining and dynamic matches.- Malditos Nerds

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered manages to bring back two of the most important and most beloved games in the history of gaming, reviving the idea that the franchise, perhaps, can continue. Despite the fact that the gameplay is notorious for the passage of time, and that they present some minor technical flaws, this package more than fulfills its purpose of bringing these titles to the hands of new players, and at the same time leaves old fans happy.- Malditos Nerds

Mario & Luigi: Brothership is an experience that, although it repeats itself a lot at times, is quite fun. It manages to overcome some of the obstacles that made this franchise fail, but it also stumbles at times over the same stones. It's not a bad return for the franchise, but it also falls in the middle of other great RPG experiences even for the same character.- Malditos Nerds

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is a good video game that I think fans of the saga will enjoy. That said, he still has many things to polish that do not take away from the fact that the things he does well, he does very well. Its universe, its setting and its non-linear narrative are the highlights of a delivery that has a lot to improve from its performance.- Malditos Nerds

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake is a constant blur in my brain. What I see, and what I hear, is not felt in my hands, which return to the late '80s and embark on a pixel art adventure, but now more HD than ever. The proposal of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 closes everywhere and, in general, does everything well. It's a game that looks and sounds fantastic, runs great, and is very well optimized. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge - Radical Reptiles is the latest jewel in the crown of the king of modern beat 'em ups. On its own, two extra characters may not seem like much, but this is a low-priced DLC that aims to perfect an already fantastic experience. During the early days of Dragon Ball Z, many characters refer to Gohan as a fighter with great hidden potential, that if he could channel it the right way, he would be even more powerful than Goku. Dragon Ball: Sparking! Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred is an expansion that improves the original experience. On Xbox Series it offers a smooth experience, with no server outages or bugs and makes Blizzard's classic feel as engaging as it did on day one. The most important thing in this type of work is what it conveys. Neva achieves this correctly and clearly, despite occasionally feeling a bit photocopied. It has an identity of its own that at times is diluted in the format so attached to its predecessor. It's a solid experience about growing up and the changing dynamics of motherhood, where we can understand it both as children and as parents.- Malditos Nerds

Metaphor has nothing to envy and establishes itself as a new IP with personality and clear ideas. It executes them throughout the game perfectly, even if the ending becomes a bit tedious due to the overwhelming amount of options regarding how we can spend our time in the game. The narrative is one of the game's strongest aspects, even outside of its genre, and the characters, with only a few exceptions, are all extremely detailed and well-developed.- Malditos Nerds

Bloober Team found the balance between innovation and respect for the original work. What made Silent Hill 2 an unforgettable title is still there. However, horror is a gimmicky genre, of emotions and impacts, and repetition is its greatest enemy. Because if the scares are repeated, they are no longer scary, but frustrating. Silent Hill 2 Remake has the same pacing flaws as The Evil Within or Silent Hill: Downpour: it's a satisfying game that sees us reach the credits with a good taste in our mouths, but when we recap, the overall experience deflates more than once.- Malditos Nerds

Another Crab's Treasure isn't the messiah of souls, but it doesn't pretend to challenge From Software's work either, but it does take the basic elements that the studio knew how to create and bring them to its comfort zone to generate a unique, narrative experience, with a lot of humour and which is an excellent entry point for new users to this genre. I genuinely believe that V Rising has a complete product for almost any type of player. The only reason you shouldn't give it a chance is if you absolutely don't like survival games. It's an experience that delivers just enough, plays on automatic and doesn't quite do a fine job of making itself a memorable video game. It's not a bad start by any means for a new sub-franchise, but it would be ideal if Nintendo decided to bet heavily on the character regardless of how well this game sells and that we already have a sequel in development. While I think Eiyuden Chronicle has some room for improvement and that more development time would have been even better for it, I appreciate the many original ideas that the experience offers for a genre that is overpopulated, especially in its 2D/2.5D version. However, the foundations for something much bigger are already in place. We'll see if there will be enough gas to keep supporting this project or if it will remain encapsulated as a one hit wonder. If I think of Final Fantasy XVI today as a package to play from start to finish, I think of an unparalleled expedition with a lot to tell, with its two expansions, about a world slowly approaching ruin. Perhaps, being a slave to the excitement and mystery of Japanese plot twists made me wait longer than I should have. Perhaps, the "terrible and lost" Leviathan was nothing more than a hope for the players, one that Clive knew from the start would not change his actions and that, in the end, he would have to say goodbye to his fans.- Malditos Nerds

Cookie Cutter is an interesting metroidvania, but with some contrasts. On the one hand we have Cherry, with her vulgar and violent personality, a remarkable artistic section and a varied group of charismatic NPCs. But on the other hand, Subcult Joint's work can't escape the typical tropes of the genre. It is a game that, at the end of the day, is built on the guidelines of a genre that borders on over-exploitation. Even so, it is still a very fun video game that stands out for several reasons. As we get closer to the conclusion, Alan Wake 2 becomes more enthralling. The questions that we thought were solved come back to light and the connections with the studio's other titles become more than evident. In the last stretch, it's the combat that gets in the way of our desire to advance in the story, but even so, each battle against a boss has a twist to enjoy. In summary, although the title doesn't reinvent the genre's formula, it's a very good sequel that everybody who played the first title will enjoy. Besides, it has a nice graphic design that makes both the external and internal views enjoyable. House Flipper 2 covers many mechanics, but it manages to let the player customize his experience, either by focusing on cleaning or on building and decorating.- Malditos Nerds

Trinity Fusion fulfills its primary function, which is to entertain and challenge. Its strong point is its agile and entertaining combat system, which invites us to dodge at the last moment and combine the temporary improvements that we have acquired. It is designed with the idea that there is always a way to dodge damage and that, potentially, we could go through the entire game without being touched. That guarantees interesting bosses with logical attack patterns, which we can learn to dodge and windows to counterattack.- Malditos Nerds

Against the Storm is an independent proposal that combines the foundations of a city-building game with the unpredictability of a roguelite, in a format that is not boring and offers constant replayability thanks to the versatility of the title.- Malditos Nerds

More personal and more "out of costume" moments are part of one of the best superhero games we've seen ever. A natural evolution and improved in every aspect over the previous two installments that Insomniac worked to the last detail, and a must-have for any PlayStation 5 user.- Malditos Nerds

It's not a frustrating game, nor is it a bad proposal, but it does fall halfway down the road by failing to stand out. The open world that invites us to go through the playlists, before unlocking fast travel, is aesthetically appealing, but it feels like a ghost town where nothing happens and our gameplay loop lacks basic fun. The playlists are a great aspect, but not all of them are interesting to explore, leaving aside the strong offering of vehicles with anecdotal experiences that aren't all that worthwhile. On the plus side, it continues to appeal to arcade adrenaline. While it wants to copy something that was previously successful, it doesn't end up being a meaningless copy.- Malditos Nerds

Leaving aside the discussion about whether this DLC should have been included in the base title, Separate Ways has all the weight to be a robust game on its own. While the story and the entire context is tied to Resident Evil 4 Remake, it offers us a new experience, with a completely different character, with improved and expanded gameplay, and with a very high difficulty in direct response to the dynamics it handles. Capcom's hand is felt in every section, and there is no doubt that we are in front of a Resident Evil with all the letters. In today's times, having a DLC in which you can invest up to 6 hours, is something very remarkable and appreciated. As part of the saga, there is no doubt that we are facing a proposal that no fan should miss.- Malditos Nerds

Lies of P joins the list of this year's great releases and is a must for all soulslike fans. While it takes many of the elements already known in Dark Souls and Bloodborne, it manages to have its own identity with a great character design, a unique setting and a narrative that knows how to grow through the whole experience.- Malditos Nerds

Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle is a compelling game but the sum of the small elements feel limited. The little variety of enemies and weapons makes the game lose surprise quickly as well as an almost null exploration and puzzles that don't feel organic with the gameplay. However, the story is interesting and the game is fun, managing to keep us entertained throughout its seven hour length.- Malditos Nerds

Starfield has one of the best new game pluses I've ever tried and the ambition of every edge of the title is continually felt as we play. I was living this experience for over fifty hours, but I could have played five hundred and I would still have so many things to enjoy. There will be a lot of debate about a lot of things about Starfield, but, without a doubt, it is a step forward in the innovation of how new technologies can give us an experience in videogames and it is a work that convincingly goes for much more, something that is increasingly valuable in this field.- Malditos Nerds

Immortals of Aveum is a fun magical FPS that takes place in a colorful and spectacular world made in Unreal Engine 5. It has a frenetic and agile combat system, a modest replayability component and a fresh proposal. However, its predictable story, flat characters and the irregular aesthetic presentation end up being a difficult burden to drag. When it shows its best side it is pure fun, but when the action slows down and the dialogues, the exploration of generic areas and the constant updating in the forge begin, it can become repetitive and even tedious.- Malditos Nerds
